Taming the Troublemaker (The Hills of Texas Book 3) by Kadie Scott – Review by Karyn Taylor

Taming the Troublemaker (Hills of Texas, #3)Taming the Troublemaker by Kadie Scott
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Taming The Troublemaker is the 3rd book in the Hills Of Texas series by Kadie Scott. This series centres around the Hill family and each sibling has their own book. Although the characters are recurring, each book can be read as a stand-alone. I had not read the first 2 books in this series before reading this one and didn’t feel that I was missing any important information. I would, however, now like to go back and see how the first 2 couples got together.
I adored the 2 main characters in this story. Beth is the local school teacher and feels plain and unattractive in comparison to her 2 stunning sisters. She is quite insecure and feels like guys don’t want to know her anymore once they get sight of her sisters.
Autry Hill is a playboy and charmer who is forever getting into mischief until her is given a challenge by his father. No woman for 6 months and he can have the family ranch house. Autry expected this to be easy as he was starting to tire of his reputation. Little did he know that Beth Cooper was going to blow his world.
Beth and Autry’s story was a very enjoyable read. You really got to see a side of Autry that you didn’t expect, especially given his reputation around town. Beth also has a few tricks up her sleeve that you wouldn’t expect from her either. Special mention has to be made for the scene stealer Dylan. Dylan is a young boy in Beth’s class who plays a major role in this book and you can’t help but want to mother this broken little boy.
With there being more Hill siblings who haven’t had their own book yet, I’m hoping that this series is going to continue and I look forward to see what this mad family gets up to next.

Taming the Troublemaker (Hills of Texas, #3)Taming the Troublemaker by Kadie Scott
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Taming the Troublemaker is the third book in the Hills of Texas series, and can be read as a standalone.
Autry is the town playboy and Beth is known as the good girl.
This is a romance that brings these two together to help one of her students. Beth promises herself she won’t fall for him but it doesn’t take her long to see Autry as the compassionate and determined man he truly is. Autry finds that he can’t get the caring, strong, and beautiful Beth out of his mind! But is good girl Beth enough for playboy Autry!!

I adored this book and never read any other in this series, but will say I will be reading them soon. I adored the characters, the chemistry, and the fun banter these two had. I give this book 5 stars!

How is this the first book I have read by this author…OMG I loved this story…It’s the small town feel, with the family thing thrown in that totally won me over in this book, as well as writing that was simply spot on and a story that wasn’t filled with a lot of fluff, every word was needed and I literally read this in one sitting.

I loved Autry’s parents and the challenge was awesome, and then Beth making that challenge not so easy was just the best. I usually get really angry with miscommunication between main characters, but this one was actually kind of fun to read and the storyline with Dylan…UGH it just made this book the whole package for me.

I will have the rest of this series and will go back and read the others as well as anything else this author comes out with.

LOVED LOVED LOVED it!!

I’ve absolutely loved this series. And this book had me captured from the start.
Autry is the town bed hopper, but he’s changing his ways unbeknownst to anyone for such a sweet reason!
After a mix up in the parking lot, he takes notice of Beth, a school teacher but she doesn’t fall for his charm.

These two were great but frustrating and i’m so glad Beth stood her ground and didn’t just accept what he offered with the way he put it out there.
I laughed, I cried and I rooted for these two so hard.
I cannot wait for the next book!

Taming the Troublemaker is the third book in The Hills of Texas series from Kadie Scott but don’t let that scare you away from picking it up and reading it right away! It’s definitely written well as a stand alone that you can enjoy and is a sweet contemporary romance that you won’t want to miss out on.

Kadie Scott truly has a gift for telling a love story from beginning to end without even making it feel contrived or planned. You would never guess that these are characters dreamed from within her mind, I felt as if Beth and Autry were very real people that I was getting to know and witness as they grew together. I love it! Her attention to details were spot on as well making me feel as if I was in the very spot they were in watching. I loved every second with my only complaint being it ended so much sooner than I ever wanted it to! I can’t wait to find out what will come next from Kadie Scott!

OMG! I absolutely loved this book! Taming the Troublemaker is the third book in The Hills of Texas series by Kadie Scott. Kadie is an awesome writer and if you haven’t read any of her books then you should start with this series. Now, you can read this book without reading the first two books but like I always say…you should always start with the first book. So if you are going read a standalone this is the book to do it with because this book is so stinking good! Autry is the 4th Hill sibling and he loves every bit of his Ranch. However, he is also known to be a bit of a playboy and has yet to settle down. He doesn’t have any prospects of settling down either. Beth Cooper is a teacher and has had the biggest crush on Autry since she can remember. Now, Autry’s father and mother are ready to retire but they are bit worried about Autry. So they decide that if Autry can keep it in his pants for 6 months then he can have the house and the ranch. But here comes Beth and a bunch of twists and turns that make that nearly impossible! LOL. Like I said. I love this book! You will not be able to put this book down. I is definitely a page turner and one you will definitely enjoy!

This was a fantastic read i enjoyed every second. The story is a lighthearted one but still packs a punch, it’s one of those novel’s you can sit back with a glass of cheeky wine and just get lost amongst the pages. I love a novel with humour there’s nothing like laughing out loud or smiling while reading as it really take you away from reality and any troubles you may be facing it’s a wonderful escape. This can be read as a standalone but i do recommend reading the first two first just so you can get to know the family more plus they are just as amazing as this one!

Taming the Troublemaker (Hills of Texas, #3)Taming the Troublemaker by Kadie Scott
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Taming the Troublemaker was a good 4 star read and is book 3 in the Hills of Texas series.
I was pulled right in and didn’t want to stop until I was done.

This is Autry and Beth’s story.
Autry is a cowboy who has a playboy reputation and doesn’t commit to anyone. That is, until he meets Beth. Beth is a school teacher who has gotten Autry’s attention.

Could she cause him to lose the agreement that he has made with his parents?

Beth isn’t the usual girl that Autry is attracted to. She has always had issues with her sisters always getting the boys, including her boyfriends. She has always had a little thing for Autry and when he starts to show interest things get very interesting. She doesn’t make it easy for him, I had some LOL moments.

Overall I really enjoyed this read. I really liked Beth and loved how she would banter with Autry. The secondary characters added a great element to the story as well. Kadie Scott does a great job of pulling you in with her writing. You will enjoy it, this can be read as a stand alone as well. 1-click and get started today.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This was a quick and cute read. Perfect for a relaxing weekend binge read.

Beth is a small town school teacher who has a child in her class that is having a difficult time. She struggles tryin to reach out and solve the problem. Then we have Autry. The cowboy that can’t be tied down to any woman and many have tried. He makes a bet with his father that he can remain celibate for 6 months. Being the good guy he is, Beth ropes him in to help be a positive role model for the student in her class. The bet Autry made would’ve been easier if he wasn’t spending so much time with Beth and those pesky feelings start to rise.

I absolutely adored this book and I’m dying to read the others. Kadie Scott is a definite one click author!

Taming the Troublemaker (Hills of Texas, #3)Taming the Troublemaker by Kadie Scott
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Taming the Troublemaker by Kadie Scott is the third book in the Hills of Texas series. I loved everything about Autry and Beth’s story. From the way they reconnected (it is small town Texas and everyone has known everyone since birth) to the way it ended.

Autry is the bad boy of the Hill family. Being the second youngest in the large family he has to do something to get some attention and sometimes negative attention is better than nothing.

Beth is the middle sister who has always felt average in every way. She has always secretly had a crush on Autry but never did anything about it consciously.

There are a lot of laughs and a few emotional moments, I swear I didn’t cry this time. My eyes just started to sweat spontaneously.

I can’t wait to see which Hill sibling is next

Taming the Troublemaker (Hills of Texas, #3)Taming the Troublemaker by Kadie Scott
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Taming the Troublemaker by Kadie Scott is book three of The Hills of Texas series. This book is a standalone and can be read without reading books one and two. I’ve read this series completely out of order and don’t feel like I’ve missed anything at all.

Autry Hill has been dubbed the biggest playboy in town and now his reputation may cost him his family’s ranch. He doesn’t expect Beth Cooper to find her way back into his life and cost him more than the ranch. Beth Cooper May have had a crush on Autry a long time ago but she has to stay practical and she can’t fall for him. She doesn’t realize that he is just who she needs to help her help one of her students. Can they work together for Dylan’s sake? What will be the ultimate cost?

I really enjoyed this book. Autry May have had a reputation but when the right person came along he was willing to risk it all. I was so drawn to these characters and there fun light hearted moments but also the serious ones as well. This was such a great book to read and I highly recommend it.

Taming the Troublemaker (Hills of Texas Series book 3) by Kadie Scott is a sweet small  town romance story. The characters are wonderful and they all crossover in each of the  others stories. Kadie’s romances are well written and are sweet addictions with feisty,  flirty banter and a little drama, plenty of chemistry and love, fun and lots of humour.    Autry Hill is a bit of a player but he’s sick of that life and reputation. He is finally given  a chance to get what he wants and is determined to prove he can do. However, he didn’t  count on one feisty woman coming into his life.    Beth Cooper has always been the good girl, the one nobody looks twice at but she has  always had a crush on the one person who could crush her heart and now one small boy  just may be the one to bring them together.    The events in this book had me laughing and it is another great addition to the series. I  can’t wait for the next book.

Four Stars

This book was super funny. I liked the way the author wrote the conversations. It made you feel like you were in on it. I definitely related to Autry more than Beth. Being the 5 of 6 kids makes you feel invisible sometimes. I do feel that he earned his reputation but made up for it by his hard work. For his parents to do what they did was shady and a little hurtful. His ability to run a ranch and love life shouldn’t be a topic together. Though I understood the reason why. Beth was a tease and too sweet for me. Though she makes Autry work for it. She makes him think and take a step back before he acts. I really enjoyed this story and will definitely check out the others.

This is the second book that I have read and enjoyed by this author. I find that I am completely captivated by the characters and the storyline. It was a really light-hearted and entertaining read; I really love the simple romance of the story. I love the hot and heavy romance type but I equally enjoy a nice, sweet romance also and Taming the Troublemaker was a wonderful example of just that.
I think I fell in love with Autry straight away; he did seem such a nice, kind and genuine person. Beth was a sweet character and I loved her from the beginning. I just loved the interaction between the two of them, it was fun, it was sweet and I was definitely rooting for them the whole way through.
Although part of a series this book could definitely be read as a standalone and it is one that I would highly recommend! I am looking forward to reading more from this author again in the future.

Taming the Troublemaker (The Hills of Texas Book 3) By Kadie Scott. From the first page I knew I’d love the story of Autry and Beth each being a character I won’t soon forget. The chemistry they had jumped off the page and you could truly feel their connection on the pages. The author does a wonderful job of pulling readers in and making them forget its a book they are reading. This story can totally be read as a stand-alone without any confusion but please read the others simply because they are just as good. It’s well written and paced nicely never feeling rushed or lacking anything. I’m giving this story a five star review and highly recommend it to everyone.

Kadie Scott has once again shown me what an incredible author she is. Taming the Troublemaker is Book 3 in The Hills of Texas Series, this is my second book from her and as I said before I will definitely be going back and reading book 1. Out of the two, I have read, this one is definitely my favourite out of the two.

This book was everything and more! It had romance, passion, humour two amazing characters that are real, relatable and honestly the most lovable characters. Everything about them is brilliant. I love them both individually, but together they are even better, and it is just a shame it takes so long for both of them to realise, as they both prolong their HEA. What they have is something you can tell will be epic and forever, they have great banter together as well as passion that I don’t know how they went so long denying it and to make their connection even better was the feelings they had towards one little boy!
I loved that this book was written in dual POV’s it really made me connect even more with Autry & Beth, I loved knowing what they were really thinking and feeling beyond what they actually said!

I cannot rate this book enough, I can’t wait to see what else Kadie Scott brings to this series and where Autry & Beth’s story goes, I hope this isn’t the last we get of their story.
I highly recommend this read, don’t miss it!

TAMING THE TROUBLEMAKER is the third book in The Hills of Texas series yet can be read as a stand-alone. I Think recurring characters from previous story’s are very well explained in this novel so you won’t feel lost.

The main characters are cute together. Their back and forth dialogue had me chuckling and the romance had me swooning.

This is one of those light romance stories to settle in with after a long day (that’s how i read it actually). It really is a charming story of redemption and honesty and new beginnings.

This is the type of story that I can picture being easily turned into a “made for TV movie” on one of those cable channels.

I recommend this book, this series and this author.

The story Taming the Troublemaker (The Hills of Texas Book 3) by Kadie Scott is a contemporary romance book. It is a story that I loved reading. It hooked me in from the beginning and I found myself lost in a wonderful book that I didn’t want to put down until I had finished the last page. I loved reading about the characters of Autry Hill and Beth Cooper. Autry is a man with a reputation when it comes to women. He loves the family ranch and doesn’t think twice accepting a challenge of no women for six months. Winning this challenge will mean that the ranch is his. He believes that the challenge is an easy one. Then he meets Beth. Beth is a teacher. She loves her job. She is intelligent, strong, and caring. She knows about Autry’s reputation and when their paths cross, she knows she shouldn’t get involved with him. There is an attraction between them that is undeniable. She starts to see a different side of him when he works with one of her troubled students. He, however, doesn’t do relationships. He finds that he can’t get her out of his mind. Read this book to find out what happens. I enjoyed reading the bantering back and forth between Autry and Beth. There are other characters that are introduced and I enjoyed reading about them and the part that they play in the story. There were moments that touched my heart and gave me a warm feeling. This is a wonderful book that I would recommend reading.

This is a wonderful story! I simply loved it! I like that this was set at the town where the Hills live so we are able to enjoy all of them. Autry was a struggle for me to like at the beginning. He really grew and I actually changed my thoughts about him as the story progressed. Beth is a force to be reckoned with! Between her “accidents” and her brain? Do not mess with this woman!! She also has a heart the size of Texas! Actually that’s what gets her Into the most trouble. She has a love of family and I liked that she grew up there and was familiar with Autry and his family. Speaking of family…I LOVED the names of all these kids. Well…the idea behind them. Kudos to the author for thinking this up.

I was easily drawn to these lovely characters. They have fun and yet have some serious moments. I can laugh at brotherly antics or swoon at those hot kisses. I loved these two (Beth and Autry) as well as getting to see more family dynamics. The story was heartwarming. I could hardly put this down it rolled off so nicely. I have a few bookmarks and highlighted passages. This can easily be a stand alone. I have only read the second book in the series although i look forward to reading the first. I can’t wait for the next in the series!

One daring kiss with the playboy tempts the good girl, but can she tame him?
Autry Hill may be a cowboy to his boots, but he’s also gained quite the reputation as a charmer and playboy. His parents aren’t sure he’s ready to take the reins of the family’s prosperous Texas ranch, so they set up a challenge: No women or scandal for the next six months and the ranch house he grew up in is his. Easy peasy, Autry thinks. He’s already tired of late nights and romancing, until elementary school teacher Beth Cooper happens to cross his path. Suddenly Autry is losing his heart, his mind, and what’s left of his reputation.
Good girl teacher Beth Cooper is far too practical to fall for Autry Hill, even if she had a crush on him way back when. The man’s been breaking hearts since middle school. But when he becomes her unexpected champion and then they work together to help one of Beth’s troubled students who’s about to lose everything, she sees a different side of Autry – serious, compassionate, determined and dedicated. And that Autry is nearly impossible to resist. Does she need to?

Resisting the Rancher (The Hills of Texas Book 2) By Kadie Scott – Review By Melissa Agena

Resisting the Rancher (Hills of Texas, #2)Resisting the Rancher by Kadie Scott
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I loved this book! I haven’t read a good country story in a long time! Resisting the Rancher is Book 2 in The Hills of Texas Series by Kadie Scott. Rusty Walker has grown up wanting to take over her family’s ranch. However, the only thing stopping her is her father. Her father resents the fact that she is female and can’t possibly run the ranch because of it. It’s also the same reason why she will never date a man that has to do with the Rodeo circuit. Her father also has a plan for Rusty. Rusty has to marry within the next year to someone that he approves of or she will not be able to take over the ranch. But she is bound and determined to prove that she can do it on her own. Williams “Will” Hill is in the rodeo stock business as well as horses. He is also very handsome. The instant these two eyes meet, something takes over. Instant attraction but Rusty is hell bent on not dating anyone involved with the circuit. But there is something that keeps pulling her back to him and vice versa. Will is ultimately intrigued by Rusty and all of her beauty. What will happen when things are forced between the two? I love the connection that these two have. This book was definitely a page turner! I couldn’t put this book down. The author really knows how to write a story to where you feel like you are there. I can’t wait to read the other books in the series. You do not have to read the first book in order to read this one!

Resisting the Rancher (The Hills of Texas Book 2) by Kadie Scott is a wonderfully well written contemporary country romance story. The story is a slow burn romance and the relationship between our main characters was a pleasant read. Falling in love with the characters was as easy as the flow of the tale. This story makes you feel warm you and fuzzy and your heart melts and gets invested hoping against hope for a happy outcome. There is a bit of an emotional ride for the main female character and my heart went out to her and the life she had been brought up in. This is one story that you don’t want to miss out on.
