Talisman (The Talisman Series Book 1) by Tam DeRudder Jackson – Review by Donya Pedigo
Talisman: The Talisman Series by Tam DeRudder Jackson
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Being a Greek Mythology lover, I wanted to read this book and find out about Celtic Mythology as it has Celtic Lore within it. This first book did not disappoint with its dashing modern-day warriors and the talisman, women who are fated to love them while giving them the strength to be true warriors. Though these women are not just fated mates, they are smart, strong women in their own right. Our main characters, Rowan and Alyssa, have such chemistry it almost sparks the pages in places. Will these two be able to connect in time so that they might help level the playing field in the war of good versus evil, or will Alyssa have too much trouble grasping the world she is learning that she is a part of? As time ticks down thanks to a curse by a hateful Goddess, we watch these two face granderous obstacles as Alyssa learns and comes to terms with the knowledge of her family history.
Tam DeRudder Jackson has written a paranormal adventure that has such descriptive details that I can visualize so much of this book. This is the first book I’ve read by her, but I can’t wait to read more about these modern-day warriors and the Gods they battle.
