Goddess of Everything by Paul DeBlassie is an emotionally charged , magical tale of a mother’s love for her son and the son’s search for basically the meaning of his life. Although some of the character’s names I could not even pronounce, it was an enjoyable read. Goddess of Everything was incredibly well written and very descriptive. There was anxiety, drama and tension as the main character navigates his way to discovering the truth that he seeks. A plethora of exciting and spine tingling moments. A clever and intriguing tale that has you guessing right up to the end. A brilliant entertainer. 4 stars.

Goddess Of Everything is a riveting supernatural thriller by Paul DeBlassie III. As I have come to expect from Mr. DeBlassie, this has an original concept that lept right off the pages. It’s full of vividly detailed descriptions, intriguing developments, and unique, interesting and well-developed characters. This book blends psychological and spirituality into a tightly woven tale, all of which had me turning the pages to find out what would happen next and how everything would play out in the end. This has a complex and multilayered storyline which will pull you in and grip you the whole way through. It isn’t a light and fluffy read- it takes some chewing to get through, as the darker elements take hold. The story is set in the mystical mythical Atzlan del Norte where we meet Gabriél de LaTierra, a psychiatric healer, and his wife Consuela. With children disappearing from the local orphanage, where his mother is also the Mother Superior, Gabriel finds himself thrust into mind-bogglingly twisted tale. When evil, love for your mother, loyalty, spirituality, and the truth mash, it spells for a great story- and this book is well worth the read to find out exactly what happens.

I loved reading the book Killer Blonde by Allan Evans. It is a story that pulled me in and didn’t let me go until the final page. It is a book that had me on the edge of my seat wondering what was going to happen next. The story is written in such a way that I felt I was right there trying to solve the mystery. I loved reading about the character of Cade Dawkins. Cade is a character that is well-developed and one you want to root for him to succeed. Will Cade catch the murderer that he is searching for? Read this book to find out. This is a story that includes danger and suspense. The author does a wonderful job of making the story and the characters come alive. Don’t miss out on reading a book that is exciting, intriguing, and entertaining. I highly recommend it.

Goddess of Everything is a psychological thriller that will keep you turning the pages. This is not a quick read as there are many layers to the story. The imagery paints a vivid picture that you have to take your time to savor, and the characters are well developed and you feel as if you are living right alongside of them as you read. The author has done a great job of blending psychological and spiritual elements to weave a wonderfully dark tale.

This story is a crime thriller and comes in at around 250 pages. This story follows Cade, an investigator with the State Patrol in Minnesota. He is tasked with finding a killer who is murdering women. The killer has been murdering blondes and making it look like an accident. Definitely a thrilling read with plenty of twists. I thought the plot was good and the characters were well written.

Killer Blonde by Allan Evans was a thrilling 4 star read. You get pulled in right from the beginning and you put your detective cap on right along with the characters.
Cade is a detective with some experience under his belt. When he gets called to the scene of an accident he quickly discovers that there is more than originally thought. There are several cases that seem to have a connection, blonde sophisticated women dying in car accidents, but are they really?
The killer likes to stalk his targets and learn their patterns before he attacks them. Will Cade be able to figure out who the killer is before any more lives are taken?
Overall this was a thrilling nail biting read. We get a dual POV between Cade and the killer, which I loved. I like books that keep you guessing to the end on who it can be. This fell a little short for me since we discovered who the killer sooner than I would have liked to. All of the characters added a great element to the story. This is not my first book and it will not be my last. He writes some of the best psychological thriller books. His plotlines have twists and turns, safe and unsafe, and ups and downs. Not only his plotlines are intriguing, but his characters are also amazing. He pulls me in with his characters. I can see them vividly in my mind and I can feel what they are going through. This story is about a mother and a son’s relationship. There is evil all around. There is something going on that brings turmoil to this land. I do not want to give too much information about the story.I highly recommend this book for all psychological thrillers lovers.

This is not my first book by this author but it is one of my favorites by him yet. This is a well developed story that I was pulled into right from the beginning. One of my favorite things from this author is how creative and unique his characters are and what they bring to the story. They make the story engaging and fun to read. This is a story about a son and his mother’s relationship. It is also a story of love, truth and a struggle for freedom. I won’t say too much about this story as I highly recommend reading this book and the previous books by this author. You won’t regret picking it up as they are that good.

Goddess of Everything by Paul DeBlassie III is a supernatural, thriller that will keep you reading late into the night. This is not a quick light read but pretty intense. The imagery and the story are well thought out with great characters. Honestly, I did not want to put this down because I had to know how all the pieces fit together. This combines supernatural, spiritual, and thriller successfully all into one. I look forward to reading more from this author in the future.

This is a story based in the dark and desolate land of Aztlan Del Norte, it is a land of desert, scrub and sand which is whipped up into deadly storms on a regular basis, it is also home to religion and mysticism all rolled into one. This is where Gabriél de LaTierra lives and works as a psychiatric social worker and healer with his wife and son, as well as his mother Juana De La Cruz who is also the Mother Superior of the Nunnery and Orphanage of he Holy Innocents where Gabriél works with the children who reside there. Gabriél loves his mother, but this conflicts with the love he has for his wife and his mother is behind it because she wants his love all for herself and to do this, she folds memories and feelings into his mind like silken threads. She has done this since his father died as they mourned at his gravesite, so as to make her the only one he loves, but what she doesn’t know is that he has another compartment she doesn’t see and this is where the spirit of his father left his message that he will always guide him throughout his life when he needs him. He has seen other things as well, the inner beasts of the people around him, shadows of dreams which come to pass in the days after and the spirit of a person, whether bad or good, he sees it all, but as he has grown up, he has become unable to do this as often as he used to, all because his mother blocks them from him with her arts. As Gabriél prepares for his day, each one being different to the next as he helps the children of Aztlan Del Norte, he is focussing on one in particular that day, however especially when he is refused access to one of his patients, he digs deeper and finds that there have been reports of other children he has worked with disappearing and although the paperwork seems all in order, Gabriél feels that something isn’t right. He has his suspicions as to who is behind the disappearances, however, when he tries to gain clarity through his own mystic practices, what he discovers is more dark than he could have ever imagined and when he returns to his home, wife and son, he realises that the danger is reaching there as well. Will Gabriél be able to uncover who is behind the dark practices enveloping the land and the children who live within it, or will his judgement be clouded by outside forces and will he be able to face the coming danger, or will his family be reached by the evil in the air? This fast paced drama will leave you reeling as much as it does it’s characters as mysticism, blood and death combine to create a world of darkness which sucks you in.

Killer Blonde by Allan Evans is a fast paced thriller- a tense game of cat and mouse between a season cop and a psychopathic serial killer. There is quite a lot going on here- with murder, mystery, hidden agendas, plots, politics, rivalry, a lot at stake, dramatic developments, danger, tension, and even a little romance. Ok, so I am not going to lie- this book had me thinking about it long after I finished, debating how I should rate and review it. There was quite a lot of promise held in the title, premise, and intriguing cover. While the overall story was quite enjoyable and did ‘deliver’ on some of the potential of the story- other elements and issues detracted from what would otherwise have been a 5+ Star rating. Cade Dawkins is at the top of his game. A seasoned detective with a string of high profile case closures under his belt. When a couple of unusual road accidents raise some concerning questions, Cade’s investigation opens up a can of worms. A serial killer is operating in the area, disguising his murder spree as car accidents. His victim(s) of choice- beautiful, tall, blondes. But we soon discover that there is far more to the story than first meets the eye. With a hidden agenda that makes the stakes even higher, Cade will need to outwit and outplay his cunning opponent, before it’s too late. The story is told from a duel POV- giving us both Cade’s and the killer’s point of view- which gives the reader a well-rounded perspective of all the developments. But, we did discover the identity of the killer only half way through the book, which I felt took away from the tightly woven tension that the author was building quite effectively up to that point. And while the rest of the story was intriguing, I felt that knowing the identity of the killer made the last half of the book less intense and suspenseful than it could have otherwise been. Overall, the story was tightly woven- with obvious research and attention to detail. But then there are some really cliché elements, attempt at adding humour using tired ‘jokes’ we’ve all heard a hundred times before, things that have done the rounds for years as memes and social media posts. As well as there being obvious police procedural errors- and I am no expert by any means, but I doubt a top cop and his detective partner would be discussing highly sensitive case details in the presence of a civilian, let alone the 17 year old relative of one of the murder victims- no matter how much she wanted to help (just as an example). At times the author used some odd word phrasing, which pulled me out of the story as my mind rearranged the word to make more sense. There are also a LOT of characters to keep track of- 65+ named characters either playing a direct role or who were referred to in the story – not to mention a slew of unnamed characters, too. There were a few other minor issues, which in the end I had to acknowledge in my final rating of this book. Don’t get me wrong, this is an enjoyable story- but I felt the author missed the opportunity to take this story to the next level as this story really does have the potential to be quite an exciting and stellar read. Looking forward to seeing what Mr. Evans does next.

Killer Blonde by Allan Evans is a fast paced, action packed story. The author has created a book that is full is suspense but also has a lighter side to it so Tom get a bit of everything with this book. This is the first book that I have read by this author and I have thoroughly enjoyed it. I found it really easy to connect with the main character in his search for the killer. I also enjoyed the way the author described everything – it made it so easy to visualise what was happening. For me I felt the story slowed down in pace a little in the second half but by that point I was invested in it so it didn’t impact on my enjoyment. This is a great book full of twists and turns. I can’t wait to discover more of this author in the future.

Killer Blonde by Allan Evans is a psychological thriller. A serial killer on the loose and the best detective who is on the case. Allan is a new author to me and the story started out smack bang into the thick of things. It is fast paced and has a lot of twists and turns. The killer was revealed quite early which took some of the intrigue from the story. The writing reveals the story layer by layer a bit like Law and Order. You can tell that it has been well researched. The characters where just that, characters. I felt there was little back story to them which made it harder for me to connect. But for all that, it was a straight on cat and mouse thriller where good triumphs over bad and in the end the cops get their guy.

This is a new author for me, I enjoyed my first book and I look forward to reading more from him. This is a suspenseful story that is well developed that has characters that bring the story to life. Not One of Us by Debbie Herbert is a suspense/mystery story. This is my first by this author and I loved her writing style. She kept you on the edge of your seat, but without a bunch of filler. The relationships were intricate and well connected. I was pleased that she had characters from all walks of life including an autistic nephew. The main characters Teagan & Jori were strong females who each had their own backstory that made them human. This book had such a great secret that brought it all together and kept me completely enthralled from beginning to end.

The Artist is fully aware of Jake and adds him to his list, he has a job to take out three dirty lawyers and he won’t let anyone get in his way.
Jake has a friend on the police force that he assists, he was also in the Marines with him so they have a bond. Can they find the killer before he strikes again?

This book starts with an attorney at law winning yet another case and letting a guilty party go free and destroy another life in the process and when they go to celebrate with their colleagues at one of the exclusive country clubs with a round of golf, they find that they are not as immune to the repercussions as they thought when they are killed by an assassin and one of the witnesses is Jake Wolfe, a photojournalist who has been tailing him for a story and manages to take a picture of the assassin. Jake is not your typical run of the mill photojournalists either, he has a direct line to his friend and police officer Terell who he calls the incident in to and tries to help with the investigation as best that he can, he also has the ability to remain calm under pressure and take note of situations in a more concise manner than most.
We next meet the assassin as he leaves the scene in a meticulously planned manner, he has planned everything about this murder down to the smallest detail and is more than happy with the result, apart from the photographer who managed to get a picture of him, but it is something he will deal with in the future, it is only a photographer after all, so he returns to his hotel to plan the next stage of his plan. Meanwhile, Terell has arrived at the crime scene and is speaking to Jake while also receiving the evidence that he has collected, which is also being shared on the media by Jake as a live update on what is known about the case as it develops, this infuriates the assassin and he decides to up the ante and to make Jake his next target after all.
These two, the assassin and the journalist will soon be entangled in an epic chase around San Francisco as the bodies keep piling up and the investigation gets more and more convoluted as the police try to find out who the assassin is and who his next target is going to be. Add into the mix other members of the San Francisco Police Department who are not all on the right side of the law themselves and a highly intelligent dog who knows more than he is letting on and this is going to be a case that nobody will forget in a hurry.
Will Jake manage to use his skills and catch The Artist, or will he fall victim to The Artist’s employers plan and lead to them getting what they want? This is a thriller which is fast paced, action packed and will leave you wanting to know what happens in the next installments, well worth a read.

I am a huge fan of Mark Nolan’s; his writing abilities are absolutely incredible. I had previously read the third book in the Jake Wolfe series and loved it so I knew I had to start the series from the beginning and I am so glad I did!
Dead Lawyers Don’t Lie is a phenomenal thriller read. From the very first chapter I was hooked! I found the characters really easy to connect with and the storyline was highly entertaining. It’s action-packed, intense, funny and incredibly detailed, a real page turner. I loved all the thought that went into this series, it’s truly one of a kind! I can’t wait to dive into the rest of this series.
I would highly recommend this book to anyone looking for their next thriller read!

Dead Lawyers Don’t Lie is the first book in the Jake Wolfe series. The story line is intriguing. There is a good amount of action and suspense as you read. I love the addition of the dog as an integral part of the book. That being said, there are a few places where the story is slowed a little by some filler that could have been cut and still left a superb adventure. Overall, a good read.

Oh my this book is good! I love a good mystery and this book definitely gives you that. The characters are wonderful and they make such an impression you think they are jumping off the page. The story is of a longer length however once you start reading you will not mind a bit. I didn’t want the story to end. Mark Nolan has created a novel that I will recommend to all my friends! I received a copy of this book from eBook Discovery in exchange for an honest review.

This book drew me in from the beginning. I found this story to be full of action, suspense, humor, twists and turns, and wonderful characters including Cody the dog. There is a lot going on in this book but it all flowed nicely so you aren’t confused in any way. Even though this story is a little long I kept finding myself not wanting to put it down because I needed to know what was going to happen next. This book kept me entertained and at the edge of my seat at times. The author did a great job in writing with vivid detail. This is a good mystery novel that I recommend reading.

This is the book that started it all. It starts with action and easily kept my interest throughout. I loved seeing the meet ups of Tyrell and Cody and others(I have read all the other books before this one). I still enjoyed it other than at times it’s wordy. The flow is nice and of course I love these characters. I could really see the relationship built between Jake and these others.
Overall I am glad I finally read this. It’s a bit long but still a good lead off.

Dead Lawyers Don’t Lie is the first book in Mark Nolan’s Jack Wolfe series. It’s an exciting mystery that keeps readers on the edge of their seat throughout! In this book we get to know Wolfe, as well as Cody, the dog he adopts following the death of Cody’s previous owner. The affection Wolfe has for Cody and the growing bond between the pair is really special and helped me to grow to like Wolfe as a character! As a retired military dog, Cody is well-trained and very intelligent – a perfect sidekick for Wolfe! Wolfe seems to constantly be getting himself into trouble, which adds to the tension. The story switches between viewpoints which further serves to heighten this tension! The viewpoints also help the reader to see different sides to the story – I definitely found myself sympathising with the killer from time to time. For me, this is a five-star read. It’s a fairly long book – a good companion for a holiday (if you’re lucky enough to be able to travel…) or to snuggle up with on a staycation. I’d recommend to readers who enjoy action and mystery, and have a soft spot for four-legged heroes!

I really enjoy Nolan’s storytelling and the characters in this series. Jake is a very strong lead and there is quite a bit that unfolds in this book. Tons of detail that helps you definitely plug into the exact place the author wants to transport you to. I really hope to read more of Jake and his adventures and see how Nolan continues shaping the series.
