Hit and Run by Diane Hester is a great and gripping mystery thriller and has to be my favourite by her. I was captivated and the pages kept on turning and I found myself finishing it in one sitting. Diane has woven the threads to give us something that keeps you guessing with the twists and action and thinking you are on the right track, only to be turned right around. Our heroine is troubled by her past and it almost seems like history is repeating but is she strong enough to overcome her fears? There is action and danger, and most of all the story is so believable that it is scary.

What a horrifying mess poor Madeline had to overcome. It seems nearly impossible. SPOUSE TRAP: Madeline Dawkins Mysteries (The Madeline Dawkins Series Book 1) by Cynthia Hamilton, was an excellent read. I so appreciated Madeline’s journey. I have to say I am proud of her. This is an excellent first book in a series because I can tell you I am hooked. The characters, especially Madeline were all well fleshed out and intriguing. The world Madeline lives in is well put together. There is just nothing about this book that doesn’t feel real. It pulls you in. Great writing, great story, I can’t wait for book two.

This is my first book by Diane Hester, it was amazing. Hands down loved it. This story gives us Raina as our main female character and Alac as our main male- but so many other characters. This was deeply developed and I felt emotional connections with all of the people we come across. I couldn’t get enough of this book. She has been through some trauma that causes specific situations to occur. She feels hopeless, lost and unloved. I love her! Oh my goodness. If I could give this book more than 5 stars I would!

I absolutely loved this thriller from Diane Hester, HIT AND RUN! This novel literally has something in it for everyone but really is a must read for the thriller lover! I know of and have read previous works from Hester but this one has to be a fast favorite that I will for sure be doing a reread of eventually. I loved how this book read and flowed like a thriller movie. I was always at the edge of my seat awaiting that next twist or turn in the road that would come and rarely was it what I had expected to see come of things. I thoroughly enjoyed the push and pull between the characters and the banter was a comfortable and stressful song that kept you enthralled and guessing what would come.
The teasers drew me into this read and they did not disappoint. I really loved the way the story was just as exciting as the teasers. Raina Wilkins is on a drive home from the movies. It is dark and a wooded and creepy place she is traversing and her thoughts match the situation. She didn’t know just how much her life was going to be completely changed when the stranger that hopped from the woods literally hopped right in front of her moving vehicle. The suspense gets even crazier when the man is next holding a gun to her head and making demands. Will the course of the book reveal the secrets and troubles of everyones pasts? Will somehow this crazy night be the change she didn’t know she needed in her life? You will think this book is one thing and it will be the complete opposite. I won’t divulge any more details but I can assure you this is one that you do not want to miss! I can’t wait to see what we will get next from the ever talented Diane Hester!

HIT AND RUN by Diane Hester. All I can say is WOW! I loved this book. I lost a night of sleep over it but it was sooo worth it! Its the story of Rainia Wilkins who is driving alone on a fall night in Maine when a man jumps in front of her car. She hits him and then he climbs into her car and forces her at gunpoint to drive to the airport. Before Rainia can even wrap her mind around what his happening he jumps back out of the car and runs into the woods again. What she doesn’t know is he left something very important in her car, something that he and others are willing to kill for. Thinking she will never see Alec Demarco again she goes on with her life but when he pops back up wanting what he left her life is turned upside down. Along with Alec and a a runaway teen she is forced to trust people she doesn’t know that she should and do things she wonders if she will get killed for. Not knowing who she can trust including the police Rainia is in for the fight of her life. This book is so amazing and I will jump at the chance to read another Diane Hester book!

This is a suspense-thriller that I enjoyed from beginning to end. I was pulled in right from the beginning and kept engaged to the end. This is a well developed story that has twists and turns that kept me turning pages just waiting to see what would happen next. The characters made the story feel real to me. I had no problem connecting to them. Raina was driving alone on a dark wooded road when a man came out of the woods and she hit him. He forces her to drive at gunpoint but gets out and goes back to the woods. The problem is that he left something behind in her backseat. How far will someone go to get this thing? Her world is turned upside down from here and I had a hard time putting the book down. This is a really good book that I highly recommend.

Hit and Run by Diane Hester is a great page turning thriller. I must confess I read it all in one sitting. I really could not put it down. So many twists and plots you really can’t put it down. The slow burning romance is just right. The action, and deep thinking to solve the mystery all came in just the right doses to keep me in this book till the end. To say I was not disappointed is an understatement. Diane Hester is a name I will remember when looking for a good book to get lost in.

I loved reading the book Hit and Run by Diane Hester. It is a suspenseful thriller that kept me on the edge of my seat wondering what was going to happen next. It is a story that includes mystery and danger. I loved reading about the characters of Raina Wilkins and Alec DeMarco. Raina is a character that I could empathize with. From the time that she hits Alec with her car, her life is turned upside down. From then on, she finds herself in dangerous situations and at times unsure of who to trust. Alec is a character that does have his rough edges however he, just like Raina, is trying to survive. They together with a homeless teen find themselves in danger and on the run. What does their future hold? Read this book to find out. This is a story that had me trying to put together the clues as to what is happening. The book is written in such a way that I felt like I was right there with the characters. I found myself turning pages to find out what was going to happen next. This is a story that has some twists and turns that I didn’t see coming. This is a book that hooked me in from the beginning and didn’t let me go until the final page. I would highly recommend reading this story.

A great mystery read with an intriguing storyline which had me gripped from page one. Madeline Ridley had it all and was very happy with her life, a handsome and successful husband, a high status position in the Santa Barbara society, and everything money could buy. However when Madeline wakes up alone in an unknown hotel room with no clothes on and a splitting headache she soon learns that her position in society, her influence and all her luxurious things suddenly mean nothing. Things become worse when her supposedly loving husband Steven comes home with a selection of damming photos all of which she has no memory off. Whilst visiting Stephan at work to explain her innocence Madeline walks in on a situation that makes her realise who her real enemy is. Madeline’s comfortable world collapses amongst blackmail, sabotage and deceit. In order to salvage something of her life Madeline reverts back to her maiden name of Dawkins and discovers what her strengths are. Spouse Trap is the prequel to Cynthia Hamilton’s, “The Madeline Dawkins Mystery series”. I enjoyed this book and the author had me hooked from the very beginning. I liked how Madeline’s character developed and changed during the course of the story and whilst to begin with she is rather timid by the end of the book she is ‘Madeline Dawkins’ and I’m sure she will make a great heroine in the series of books that follow. I look forward to reading further books in the series.

Driving alone on a dark autumn night, Raina hits a man who darts from the Maine woods in front or her. The injured stranger climbs in her car, forces her to drive on at gunpoint, but gets out soon after and disappears back into the forest.
Raina thinks never to see him again. But Alec DeMarco has left something behind in her car, something others will kill to possess. When he returns to claim it, Raina is swept into a world of conspiracy, abduction and murder. A world where even the police want her dead.

After such devastation, Madeline breaks down, goes back to her maiden name of Madeline Dawkins in order to repair her life. The Spouse Trap is the first book in the Madeline Dawkins series, and I think the author got off to a flying start. The story starts with Madeline in a hotel room, unable to remember how or why she is there. After photographs surface Madelines world begins to crumble, she not only doubts herself but she can no longer trust anyone. Determined to find out the truth Madeline searches for answers. You really feel for Madeline, especially at the start when there is so much hurt and confusion. The book is packed with emotion throughout and you are really rooting for Madeline that she gets the outcome she deserves. I really enjoyed this book, the author let’s you know from the beginning where the story is leading, but there are plenty of twists throughout to keep you hooked. I really enjoyed the pace of the writing. Books with lots of action can often leave me behind, but the author packs in lots of description and scene setting which I love. I would recommend this book, I haven’t read anything by Cynthia Hamilton before, but I’m looking forward to the next book in the series.

Madeline Ridley had all she’d ever dreamed of: a handsome, successful husband, a place at the top of Santa Barbara society, every luxury money could buy. In all respects, her world was perfect…until she awoke in the early morning hours in a strange hotel room, alone, unclothed, with a splitting headache and no clue how she had gotten there.
When Steven Ridley comes home in the middle of a weekday and throws a sheaf of damning photos at her, Madeline’s comfortable world collapses in a swirl of blackmail, sabotage and deceit. Hoping to convince Steven of her innocence, Madeline drives to his office and unwittingly stumbles onto a scene that makes her realize who the real enemy is.
From that point on, Madeline Ridley deconstructs herself, reverting back to Madeline Dawkins in order to salvage what’s left of her life. In the process, she discovers where her true strengths lay, and with those, she steels herself for the battle of a lifetime.
Cynthia Hamilton turned to writing while fighting a mystery illness that went misdiagnosed for nine years. Forgetting that she couldn’t write if her life depended on it, she wrote her first book in secret, just in case it didn’t amount to anything. Nineteen years later, she has written twelve books and published ten of them. She writes general fiction and mystery-suspense novels, as well as some non-fiction. “Once Upon A Lyme…A Tale of Two Journey” documents her harrowing odyssey through late-stage Lyme disease and the unexpected upside of becoming a writer. The Patience of Karma—her latest novel—is the fifth book in her Madeline Dawkins Mystery Series.

The second book in the Dylan Hart series doesn’t disappoint! The book starts several months after the Dylan’s run in with the vampires. She’s been invited to accompany her old friend to New Orleans… right smack dab in the middle of not only vampires but Dylan comes across a new enemy! How will witty, spunky Dylan survive this new foe?
A fast paced book that will have you laughing and waiting to see what happens! Go Dylan!!!

Endless Nights by R.M. Gilmore is the second book in the Dylan Hart series which is a paranormal suspense book. I fell in love with the first book and this book didn’t disappoint. Dylan is still her sarcastic, sassy self and she ends up biting off more than she can handle. After going on a trip with her an old acquaintance to New Orleans she finds herself upsetting the wrong people. Can she survive this foe? I recommend reading these in order but worth the read! They are packed with suspense, action, mystery and will keep you biting your nails in anticipation on what will happen next while reading.

The second installment of R.M. Gilmore’s Dylan Hart series was just as good as the first book. It was filled with laughter, fun, and excitement. Dylan is such a strong individual and makes for a really good heroine. She takes nothing from anyone, which upon occasion can get her into trouble. In Endless Night trouble is exactly what Dylan finds. Dylan proves once again that she is definitely up to handling anything life throws her. R.M. Gilmore has made a compelling story with Dylan Hart and I look forward to ready more of her adventures.

The author knocked it out of the park again. I loved this book just as much as the first one. It is my suggestion that you read the first book before diving into this one. This book had the same great characters and added some more. There is action, suspense, and unexpected twists and turns. Dylan is so awesome, her mouth and curiosity gets her in trouble more often than not. I found this story to be unique and entertaining. Once I started reading this book I found that I couldn’t put it down until I got to the end and once I reached the end I was left on a cliffhanger, losing my mind!! I cannot wait to read the next one, I have no doubt it will be just as awesome. I highly recommend this book.

I might have liked this one even better than the first, which is saying a lot because I really liked the first of this series, which also says alot about this author because I’m not really that crazy about this genre but when you have a character like Dylan and her snarky attitude I couldn’t help but get hooked. This author transported me right into the story and I enjoyed every second of it.
I love the way vampires and voodoo weaved through this story and where better than in New Orleans. Where better also to help Dylan realize there really is more going on than she realizes or wants to believe.
The ending was almost the end of my kindle and needing to get my hands on the next now is a must.
I can’t wait to read everything by this author. Awesome style and perfect flow of her stories.

I give Endless Night (Dylan Hart Book 2) by RM Gilmore, 5 stars.
I didn’t really know where the author was going to go next or if she could top book one. I have to admit, I was pleasantly surprised at this book. I love the balance it plays between suspense and romance. Taking Dylan and company to New Orleans was great too, because it now shows us how she reacts when out of her element. The relationships she has with her people are changing too, and she has to deal with that on top of everything else. I’m not sure if I personally like all these changes, but I can understand and anxiously await to see where they lead in the future.
If you have read book one, you know that Dylan attracts trouble like no other. So needless to say, she is in it again, without even trying. This part of the story is where the suspense part comes in, but true to the series, there is dark humor and sarcasm all throughout the book. It would not be a Dylan Hart book without her plus sized attitude. Although she is still endearing because she does have a heart and a softer side.
If you like a suspense book with snark, humor, attitude, and a wonderful cast, this book is for you. It can be read as a standalone since the author does a great job of reminding us what happened in the past, but I highly recommend reading book one first. Either way, you will not regret picking up this book.

Endless Night (Dylan Hart Book 2) by R.M Gilmore 4 Stars
Vampires, Voodoo and extreme drunkenness; just another weekend in New Orleans. Tatum convinces Dylan to go to New Orleans to keep her company during some vampire convention. Dylan figures it’s the perfect opportunity to do more research for her book. Dylan is unwittingly sucked deeper into the world of vampires and in perfect Dylan style accumulates more enemies. What should have been a party filled weekend getting drunk ends up by being a weekend where she’s fighting for her life.
I really enjoyed this book. I was hoping Tatum would redeem herself in this book but unfortunately I still can’t stand her. I loved the fact that we saw more of Cyrus. I know Dylan doesn’t trust him but I like him. Sometimes Dylan is too stubborn and stupid for her own good. She gets into a lot of trouble which adds excitement and danger to this novel. All her beliefs are crumbling and the story ends on a cliffhanger. Now I’m left hanging until the next book.

Omg this book was even better than the first one. It was gripping and a page turner.
We are back with Dylan Heart on a new adventure researching the lives of vampires.
Dylan has been invited by her friend Tatum and Cyrus away for the weekend. However a weekend that was supposed to be fun changed her life. In a bad way.
Dylan gets on the wrong side of a preistess who curses her. Now she is starting to see images of dead bodies and bleeding wounds. Dylan is scared to death and she flees leaving Cyrus caught in the preistess trap.
Can they solve this and break the curse she is under or will she be stuck seeing dead bodies forever.

Endless Night (Dylan Hart Book 2) by RM Gilmore is a fast-paced paranormal mystery and better than the first. This book sees Dylan once again the centre of attention as it appears, she has been set upon by magic older than time and the reason why is unsure but this sassy loudmouth cannot keep her anger under control once her goat is up. This thrilling read is set in NOLA and is ripe with vampires and voodoo, mystery and danger, drama and suspense. My only complaint is that RM always leaves me hanging when the going gets good so now I am anxiously awaiting the next book.

R. M. Gilmore does it again. Endless Night, in my opinion, is even better than The Scene, book 1. By the way you need to read The Scene to fall in love with Dylan. She is a feisty character that you swear is your lost relative. Dylan is still dealing with vampires but this time she is heading to New Orleans. What other trouble do you think Dylan will be getting in trouble with? Her attitude and her head-strong has brought her through her life so far. Will those charms keep going? I highly recommend this book. I cannot wait for the next adventure.

Endless Night by RM Gilmore a five-star read that you won’t want to end. This is number two in the Dylan Hart series and follows Dylan on the amazing journey they call life, if there is a limit this character can push they will. This is such a fast paced, thrilling read that is so well described you will feel part of the story, feel like you are there in NOLA with them. I enjoy the secondary characters and the twist that we get with the bestie, that just kept it real as that’s life for some of us. But there are other who step up to the plate, I’m just not sure how far they stepping yet. This was a great second story and I can’t wait for the next instalment.

I enjoyed R.M. Gilmore’s take on a vampire love story and vampires in general. The story took a different turn for me and I was left wondering at times who really was the good guy. R.M. Gilmore created a vibrant world that was colorful and full of some very interesting characters. This was a joy to read and I look forward to reading more from R.M. Gilmore.

I know every time I pick up a R.M. Gilmore books will be awesome. Her stories really make me think throughout the story. This story is no different. This plotline is a suspense paranormal genre. There is something in it for everyone. I found myself flying through the pages because I wanted to know what was coming around the corner. I did finish the book in one sitting. The characters are unique and fully developed. Dylan is a journalist who takes her job seriously. She is a strong female character. She is trying to figure out what is going on. She needs to see if there is really a vampire causing this death. I highly recommend this book and I cannot wait to see what the series holds for us.

The Scene by R.M. Gilmore was a great novel! I loved reading this story, I could hardly put it down! Some mystery and suspense, mixed with the paranormal and a bit of gore was the perfect combination for a great book. Loved Dylans’s quick wit and dry humor. That type of humor is a favorite of mine! I immensely enjoyed this book and can’t wait to read the next installment!
