A page turner, a psychological thriller. You can’t put this book down; the main characters hook you from the beginning and suck you into their twisted tale. Everyone has secrets and these secrets are beyond what you could possibly imagine. Rosie a quadriplegic from Gulian barre syndrome, her nurse Cate have secrets that could kill. Vincent her charming and con husband has the looks that can get him anything he wants. Everyone’s secrets eventually come out though, but not how anyone would expect them too. A can’t put down book that will leave you questioning everything.

I have read every book Mark has written. I fell in love with his Jake Wolfe series. I was so excited to see he has a new book out and didn’t wait to get my hands on it.

The Girl Who Escaped is another amazing crime, thriller, mystery from this author. Mark always delivers great narrative and vivid details and cleverly woven threads that draw you into the story. The adventure does not let up and continues all the way through this enticing and enthralling, thrill ride. The nonstop tension and suspense are palpable. It was good to see Jake and Cody make an appearance. They are two of my favourite characters.

Angie is trapped in a world of terror, trauma and fear but she is unable to find her way out of this dark, dark hole she finds herself in.

I hope this turns into a series. I for one will be chopping on the bit to grab whatever comes next.

This is an outstanding mystery/thriller. I found myself on the edge-of-my-seat holding my breath as I was reading. Angie was just trying to do what was right. It’s crazy what can happen when you ignore your gut. The drama is very intense. I loved every minute of it. The story has twists that just may have you looking over your shoulder. I can remember having a stalker at that age. Though the creeps and chills were there for me, I found the characters well0written. Angie and Brenda are very relatable. The plot was well written and scarily true. It could have been taken from today’s headlines. Those are my favorite stories because you feel the thriller, the emotions; you feel it all. The scene at the beginning had me jumping myself, that’s how good it was. I will be adding this author to my favorites list. Get out there and buy this one. You must read this one.

I did not see that coming!

Rosalie has a mysterious illness that has paralyzed her. Though she is conscious and understands everything around her, she has no way to interact with her husband or anyone else in her life. Vincent is Rosalie’s husband. He is handsome, charming, and everything a woman could ask for. Until Rosalie suspects there is another woman in his life. As Rosalie realizes her paralysis is starting to fade, she enlists Cate, her home health nurse to help her not only get back on her feet, but get to the bottom of what her husband has been up to.

Talk about complex characters! There is so much depth to not only Rosalie, but Vincent and Cate as well. Each character is beautifully built with enough detail to make me feel like I know them. The author gives their stories the perfect intertwining to bring them all together. Through twists and turns, the surprises never stop. My jaw dropped with every new piece of the story. This was the first book I have read by this author, but certainly will not be the last!

Angie Taylor was out with her three friends for the night, wrapping up a good time when they are all taken. Angie is the only one who got out alive. What should have been an investigation into who too them turns into Angie being put in a mental hospital and the police believing she killed her friends.

Brenda Reynolds is an FBI agent for the VRST who believes there is more to Angie’s case then what the police surmised. The only problem she has in figuring out what happened to Angie is Angie, she has not spoke since being admitted. Can Brenda come up with a plan to help Angie and figure out who is behind her abduction and friends murder?

I enjoyed this book. When reading a suspense/thriller I am always looking for a book that gives me pause so I can try and figure out what is going to happen. This book had quite a few twists, very good book.

I loved it! The characters were amazing! The book was amazing! The entire story was just so good. It’s a page turner and I read it in one sitting! I couldn’t put it down. I couldn’t imagine going through what Angie has went through. It’s extremely messed up!!! And it honestly makes me terrified because it could happen to anyone! But still a good read! The Secret Cure: A Gripping Psychological Thriller with a Twist by JD Spero – Review by Kiana Corley

The Secret CureThe Secret Cure by J.D. Spero
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This book was a hard one to put down. I was so sucked into the story that I managed to finish it within a day of reading it. Very well written and has amazing suspense throughout the entire book.

This book follows the stories of the four main characters alternating between all of their point-of-views. You start out by meeting Rosalie and learning about her condition and how she currently feels about her situation. Then you meet Cate the caregiver that was a nurse overseas for the military. Next comes Ana the intelligent therapist. Finally, Vincent is Rosalie’s husband and Cate’s boss.

This book has a lot of twists and unexpected events that occur keeping you on your toes and not wanting to put the book down. In this book, you get to experience a story unlike a lot of others out there right now. The book has a very unexpected ending and makes you want to reread the book to see if you can find something you missed that led to the ending. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes suspense and wants a great book to binge read.

I don’t think my heart can take it…I thought Part 1 was a gut punch…this book…Part 2…..my emotions are running full steam…

Part 2 picks up after Part 1…I highly recommend reading this series in order to get to know that back story lines and characters. Chains is rescued after being held captive, but the Grimm Wolves can only do so much. Chains is tormented by his past heavily. In order to get back to be with his two loves, Winnie and Jackson, Chains must find out who is responsible for the captivity.

I love Winnie, Jackson and Nicholas (Chains) together as a triad. You truly feel the love between the three..but also the demons that haunt Chains..my heart….
The torture, intense and heartbreaking moments that Chains endured I could only possibly imagine.

Goddess of Everything: A Blood-Curdling Tale of Truth, Freedom, and Love by Paul DeBlassie III – Review by Shannen Kern

Goddess of EverythingGoddess of Everything by Paul DeBlassie III
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Goddess of Everything is unlike anything I have ever read. It is twisted, entertaining, and I couldn’t figure out what was going to happen next! It isn’t a shocking, too-scared-to-sleep type of read but will instead invade your brain slowly, almost unnoticeably, which is scarier to me.
There is nothing like the love a mother has for her son, but this read will have you questioning everything. Are your own perception filters blocking you from seeing something that is obvious to others? Gabriél has been raised to love his mother above all else, but once he marries Consuela, there is no black and white choice anymore it seems. Everything is a shade of gray, and he can’t figure which way to go.
Helping kids is Gabriél’s passion yet he finds something disturbing about some of the happenings at the orphanage where they live, and where his mother is in charge. I like that Consuela tries to gently yet consistently help her husband come to the truth without forcing her view onto him. There are some disturbingly graphic parts of this story that may affect sensitive readers but overall, this is a tremendous book.

This is part 2 of Chains story and I could not wait to dive right in, especially after reading part 1 (A Tormented Man’s Soul). Chains has been through so much in life that up until now he hasn’t been able to truly see all the good in it. We get to see so much growth in his character in this book. This story brought out so many emotions and I had a hard time putting it down once I started. The author did an exceptional job pulling me into the storyline and connecting me to the characters with her attention to detail. I have loved every book in this series and it is my recommendation that you read them. This is a must read.

What a doozy of a story! My heart was breaking and aching for Chains. In here we find out what happened to him and can he be fixed or redeemed. I enjoyed reading this second part of the duet. I really felt for Chains during this story. This took me on a lot of ups and downs and is highly emotional.

I enjoy how this is told from different points of view. We get to catch up with all the characters and see their thoughts and feelings on Chains’ recent problems. We also meet a lot of other new secondary characters. I would be interested in a couple spin off as we meet a few other MC

This is the second half of the story of Chains, Winnie and Jackson. I suggest reading the whole series as we meet all the characters in previous books. If not that… at least read the first book of this duet. This is a darker story and not for the faint of heart.

Overall it is a perfect conclusion for these three characters. I loved how the story flowed along nicely. I read it very quickly as I became invested in their lives. I was particularly interested in what Wild would end up doing. He was such a interesting random character.

Logan McKenna is enjoying her new life, including marrying her long-time love, Ben, playing her cherished violin, Bella, and taking long, morning runs on the magnificent Oregon coast. Fascinated by the abundance of owls, eagles, hawks, and ospreys she encounters, Logan volunteers at a wildlife rescue center, where she becomes immersed in the world of raptors and those who fight for these fierce, wild creatures.

But when Logan finds a coworker dead on the floor in an animal treatment room, the peaceful forest becomes a scene of tragedy—and maybe murder. There are no signs of a violent struggle, but the office next door has been vandalized and the cause of death remains unclear. Even the official autopsy finds no evidence of homicide, but Logan thinks things just don’t add up.

When the police investigation stalls, Logan takes matters into her own hands. With the help of two local friends, she sets out to uncover the killer. The deeper she digs, the more the killer’s attention turns chillingly toward Logan.

Racing against time, Logan must use all her skills and strength to find the truth, before she becomes prey and is silenced forever.

In Plain Sight is an immersive mystery and a satisfying, multi-layered story about friendship and trusting your instincts, even if—especially if—you’re not sure where they will lead.

This novel is so incredibly creepy, it’ll crawl under your skin. The detail and attention to the religion, let alone the power of the Mother, is terrifyingly real. The horrible, dark, yet cunning twists and turns this story takes as Gabriel runs to save his family is an adventure to be experienced. You really get to witness the power of love overcome the dark and twisted. Truly remarkable piece of art.

Part two of this story is heart breaking. It has many explicit violence, sexual situations, disturbing situations related to the mental and emotional state of a person and taboo subjects, offensive language, and very mature subject matter. Recommended for age 18 and above . It’s a highly emotional book and I’d suggest reading it alone because it a roller-coaster of emotions. This gripping physiological thrill had me hooked from page one, I just simply couldn’t put it down. Full of drama, suspense, betrayal, vengeance and more this thriller really had it all. The characters were perfect for the setting of this story, the author’s word building was wonderful, and the story was just twisted enough to keep you guessing the entire time. Shake Down is the first book in the First Coast Thriller series by Armand Rosamilia. As this is my first foray into Mr. Rosamilia’s work, I was unsure of what to expect- but I love a great crime thriller, and as I am a bit of a book addict, I devour my way through dozens of books a month and so I am always looking for more authors to add to my TBR list- so one-click I did and plunged into the adventure.
Clayton Conway was forced off the police force due to his own doing. Mistakes that left him with little choice but to go into the repo game- recovering cars and boats to make ends meet. But when a powerboat belonging to a notorious cartel comes up for repo, things take a dangerous turn. What happens next? You will need to read all the intriguing details for yourself!
I will definitely be joining Clayton for more adventures in the future. As well as keeping a lookout for anything else Mr. Rosamilia produces. Now I’m off to read ‘Throw Down’ (Book #2 First Coast Thriller Series).
Happy Reading!

Thank you, Armand Rosamilia!

Triad Resumption, Part Two is the sixth book in the Grimm Wolves MC series by D.M Earl. After the events in the previous book, I really couldn’t wait to get my hands on this book and to finally have the second part to the story. What we started in A Tormented Man’s Soul held me in its grip and played with my emotions- so when this second part to the story landed on my Kindle, I put aside everything else and jumped right in.
Chains is the enforcer for the Grimm Wolves, a tormented man, and after everything he has been through his fight still isn’t over yet. He will need to face his demons, deal with the past, and uncover the enemy before he can embrace his future. Let the action begin!
As this is the second part to the story we started in A Tormented Man’s Soul, you will need to read that book before starting on this one. I also really recommend reading the rest of the series too, as there are recurring characters, other pertinent information, backstory, and important details contained in those 5 books that will help you to better appreciate this instalment.
If you love intriguing MC romance with an original spin- paranormal romantic suspense with plenty of emotion, drama, danger, brotherhood, bonds, tension, banter, and thrills- then this is definitely the story/series for you.
Happy Reading!

Thank you, D.M. Earl!

Rosalie, a former dancer who loved to be on her feet, is suddenly paralyzed and bed ridden. You would think that would make her husband more sympathetic for the woman he loves. Instead, he has betrayed Rosie and she is going to get her revenge. With enormous effort, she can finally move again, but has yet to let her husband know of her current state. Will Rosie get her revenge, or will Vincent get what he’s had planned?
This story was amazing! It really made you think about certain situations. The way the other wrote was wonderful, it was interesting to read the story through each of the main characters perspective.
