This was a short, straight to the point book. There wasn’t a lot of reading involved, it was mostly pictures of all the shenanigans grandma gets up too, and then shares with her family.

What an adventurous Gramma! I love all the places she goes and things she does.
The illustrations in this book are wonderful and very detailed. My favorite is the mole’s home. This book would be perfect for a younger child so questions can be asked about what that Gramma is up to.

This was such a cute book that would be great for a quick story-time! The book was fun and simple to understand with clear illustrations that follow the storyline. There is a rhyming scheme that is sure to captivate children and allow parents and/or guardians the opportunity to further educate along the way. In general, the story itself is sure to capture the imagination of children. I would recommend getting the physical copy of the book because the illustrations are large and would be captivating in print.

What a fun story! This is a beautifully illustrated children’s book following Gramma and her grandsons. “Gramma” is an adventurous and fun lady who is always found doing some new fun activity and inviting her grandsons along. Anyone would love this Gramma and I hope one day I’m just like her! This is a sweet, easy to read children’s story and would be enjoyed by most children, especially if read to them by their Gramma!

Where’s Gramma is a cute rhyming story of all the different places Grandma goes to. The illustrations are so great and she gathers more boys as she keeps going. This would have been an amazing story for my Mom to have with my children when they were little. It shows all the little things that Grandma’s want to teach kids about too!

Joe is starting school, so to start his day, he is having his alphabet cereal and today, the letters he picks spell out his name J – O – E!
When he gets to his kindergarten class, he is so excited to learn how to read, but when they start to learn other things, Joe is confused and so he decides to find somewhere he can read.
This is where his adventure begins, but will he find a place where he can read, or will he be disappointed in it all? This is a charming story with some life lessons contained within which is suitable for all ages.

My kids and I have read a few books by this author before, so we were excited to see another one come out! Even though both of my kiddos are a little above the target audience, we all still enjoyed the story immensely. There are such colorful and eye-catching illustrations inside which definitely add a bit more to the story. Joe starts his morning spelling his name with alphabet cereal and my kids thought it was the coolest thing ever! Now they definitely want alphabet cereal. Joe is excited to go to school and learn how to read. Will he get the chance to learn on his first day? Both my kids were shocked that Joe was just walking around town by himself. Thank goodness for Bea! I highly recommend adding this to your library at home, at daycare, or at school. This is a wonderful read for young kiddos!

This is such a great story with the majority of it being pictures so the adult can elaborate on the story as they see fit. The illustrations are fantastic and colorful. Great book for children 3 to 7.

Absurd Said Bird is absolutely adorable! It had become a new favorite bedtime story in our household. The story is very simple for kids to follow while still holding their attention captive. The images are so cute. Definitely recommend!

Having read a book by this author before.I was super excited to pick up another.One we read this one tonight before bedtime. I had one of the Littles read it, and it flowed perfectly. The artwork was adorable and kept the Littles engaged. I also really enjoyed this book. The littlest one is learning to read and has just started walking around finding letters and sounding them out so it’s kinda perfect for the times he gets frustrated and needs a reminder that it takes time. I look forward to reading more from this author.

This is a cute children’s story with nice illustrations. It follows an eager little boy who really wants to learn. However, being so eager can get you in trouble. This story doesn’t highlight the dangers this kiddo was in but it’s still a cute read.

This is a fun and engaging booked about a child’s first day at school. Joe is desperate to learn how to read and this book is all about the adventure he goes on to try and satisfy this need. Both my kids are big readers so they found it fascinating to watch Joe on his mission.
For me, the illustrations in this book are what make it as good as it is. They really bring the story to life and make it feel like you are on the adventure with Joe, not just reading about him. I always enjoy a book my kids connect with, and this is definitely one of those. A fantastic story and I am sure it will be a household favourite.

This book was a complete hit with all of the family from the minute we started reading. Both my kids have a really close and lovely relationship with their of “Gramma” so I think they found this story really easy to connect with. They couldn’t wait to find where Gramma would next be found.
The illustrations really added so much to the story. They really seemed to bring it to life and made it all the more enjoyable to read. The book is fun, lively and engaging from the first page. This really is a brilliant story that our whole family loved.

This story follows a boy and his dog, specifically when the problem of a flea is introduced into the mix. Everything becomes more complicated when one remedy doesn’t work and friends come to help. I appreciate how the author went about telling an enjoyable story while also teaching about not jumping to conclusions. The colors and illustrations are fun and not overdone, stimulating the imagination while also reflecting the story. The story was short and easy to read as well as informative, perfect for kids!

This is a quick, fun read that will have your littles wanting to know “Where’s Gramma?!” I really enjoyed the rhyming aspect as well as the awesome illustrations that follow the story so well. Word Play is a cute children’s picture book with bright colorful illustrations. The story tells us of Joe’s first day of school. He starts off spelling his name with his cereal. That really took me back to my childhood, with alphabet cereal and soup. I remember how much fun it was to try to spell things. But I digress… Joe wanders out of school and explores the shops in town, looking for someone to help him read. Now for the kid listeners, this probably sounds like a fun adventure. The mom is me was shocked he wandered away from school without being stopped, and visited several stores without being questioned. Thank goodness for Bea, likely a wonderful grandma. I read this to my 8 year old and he enjoyed it, pointing out to me he agreed that Joe shouldn’t have left school alone.

Gramma is all over. Showing the boys new things and letting them learn and experience things they will enjoy. This book is pretty cool and shows that Gramma’s can do it all and will show you things you may never experience otherwise.

It’s Joe’s first day of school and he’s so excited to learn to read. He spells his name in his morning cereal before heading out for what’s bound to be an exciting day. He gets to school and his teacher starts telling them all about where to put their things. They have a lesson on colors. They go out to recess. Joe’s wondering when he’ll get to learn to read! He goes on an adventure and meets a kind woman named Bea…not Bee…who teaches him a lesson.
Great story and one that kids will love, just as long as they don’t become Joe on their first day of school! The illustrations in this book are also very well done.

No one could see the Flea is an incredibly cute book, but it also teaches a lesson on how we can’t just assume that we know what’s what, in a kid friendly way. Does Shank have a Flea, or doesn’t he? Maybe he’s just itchy. Give this book a read to find out what happens.

This a cute story! I would have read this with my son when he was little as it targeted for smaller children. The story is engaging and so are the illustrations. I would probably recommend this for 4 as some of the passages are for longer attention spans than some toddlers have. Overall, cute book.

No One Could See the Flea by Tricia Gardella. This is such a cute read for kids around 3 to 9 or so. My 6 year old nephew loved it. Its the story of a boy and a dog and when the dog scratches his ear the boy thinks he has fleas. He looks the dog over but can’t find any flea but he still believes he has them. The boy and his friends come up with all kinds of remedies for the fleas and they try them on poor Shank the dog. They have doused this dog in all kinds of potions and nothing works. Its a great lesson of sometimes there is nothing when you think there is. The whole neighborhood came together to try to help Shank the dog even when he didn’t really need their help. Finally giving up they take Shank to the Vet who confirms there is no flea! Such a fun book for all the kids in your life!

This is a cute story that younger kids will enjoy. It helps teach problem solving and how not to jump to conclusions. Sometimes an itch is just an itch. This book is beautifully illustrated and the storyline well thought out.

My 6 year old grandson read this one with me and we enjoyed the story. Jack was trying to be a good dog owner to shank but, he was a bit over the top when he let his friends in on the action of “finding the flea”. This book shows kids different ways to perhaps solve a problem. Also, teaches good pet ownership. I would recommend this book to other grands and parents alike. I will be looking into this authors other childrens’ books.

This is a cute story about kids who misunderstand something. I read this with my 7 year old and we both enjoyed it. A boy sees his dog scratch himself and instantly think his pup has fleas. Despite not being able to see any fleas, he still thinks he has one. He tries everything he can think of to get rid of the fleas. As friends come along, they also try to help. Did the pup really have fleas? Find out if any of these crazy ways the kids come up with helps the dog stop scratching.
