Well Via Mari has once again swept me away with Kate and Chase’s love saga. I have had the pleasure of reading the other books in the series and in order, and I would HIGHLY recommend that you do as well before reading Degrees of Power. It is the fourth book in the Prestien Series and the books really evolve along the lines of a relationship and progressively time wise as well.

Kate and Chase are learning the ‘degrees of power’ in their relationship. Much like in real life we all get to that point where we have to figure out where our power or control is going to lie. Who will be the dominant in each role. Who has what strengths. While Kate and Chase are learning these things amongst other relationship ups and downs they are also balancing the safety of those they hold near and dear. The theme of hot and steamy, might I had kinky, sexytimes, with suspense and drama are blended perfectly with a romantic story that you won’t want to put down. I know I didn’t want this to end. I personally can’t wait to see what will come next from Via Mari!

Degrees of Power by Via Mari a five-star read that you will feel the power coming from. This is the forth novel in the Prestian series, this has been my favourite of the whole series, they just seem to go from strength to strength and become more powerful with each read, I suppose it could be as you grow more of a relationship with the characters and get to understand the story on a much deeper level. You also get to know the author’s writing and the way she works her writing, evolving the main characters and bringing them to life. Katarina and Chase have some powerful chemistry and you need to read their story and follow the ups and downs, the challenges they face, watch them get the balance and story they deserve in this great novel.

The story Degrees of Power (A Prestian Series Book 4) by Via Mari is a contemporary romance book. It is the final story in an amazing series that I have loved since reading the first book. This is a story I just couldn’t put down until I had read the final page. It has Katarina and Chase love for each other showing no sign of weakening as they try to navigate the need for security and the reason for the danger, they find themselves in. Katarina and Chase’s story has always been steamy, and this book further shows this and the love/commitment they have to each other. I like that Chase does a bit better job in communication with Katarina regarding her security and safety and she is realizing how her actions sometimes cause her and others around her to be in harm’s way. While Chase seems to have a better understanding that Katarina wants to be kept advised of any situation that comes up, he still has almost total control of situations and the way they are handled. Will the danger in their lives finally be resolved? Will Katarina and Chase get their HEA? Read this book to find out. This story has moments that will warm your heart. The relationship that this couple has behind closed doors is at times about control, denial, and patience. They still have a passion and desire for one another that is off the charts. There is also some dirty talking between them. I love the way that they banter back and forth as well as tease one another. I also enjoyed their interactions with the additional characters in the book. This story has a lot of details regarding the couple, the situations that they find themselves in and the places that they go to. I felt that I was right there with them seeing and feeling what they did. The book does have times which are suspenseful. It had me wondering what was going to happen next and how everything would work out. This is a story and series that I would highly recommend reading.

Degrees of Power is the fourth and final book in the Prestian series by Via Mari. I have loved reading this series and had been wondering how Via Mari was going to pull everything together, so I had fairly high expectation for this final book. After reading it I have to say what an incredibly captivating conclusion this turned out to be. Via Mari didn’t rest on her laurels, keeping the story amped up right till the end. The story/series is a great erotic romance – full of suspense, emotion, mystery, action, danger, secrets, humour, and passion. I really recommend that you read the rest of the series before starting on this one, as there are details, character information, and a bridging storyline you really should know in order to fully appreciate and get the most out of this reading experience.
Katarina and Chase have been through quite a lot, and this book sees them dealing with a lot of the ‘issues’ that have plagued them. Their relationship has evolved over the course of the series and we got to follow them through all the various ‘stages’, and the highs and lows that they’ve experienced. But along with their relationship development and finding their ‘balance- there are other unexpected developments which add an element of suspense and intensity to the whole storyline. It was quite gripping in places. The powerful chemistry between Chase and Katarina produced some sizzling scenes- but there was also some more tender moment, some humour, and emotion to be had as well.
This was a really great story that easily pulled me in and kept me engrossed the whole way through. A fantastic way to end the series. I can’t wait to see what Via Mari does next….

When I found out there were four books in Via Mari’s Prestian Series I was a bit skeptical. I feel like so many books are made into trilogies that provide you with “just enough” and that a fourth book may be “too much”. My preconceived notions were far from correct, I couldn’t get enough of Chase and Katarina.
I really enjoyed how each book picks up where the last left off with seamless continuation. Degrees of Power is no exception to this and I would recommend reading the series in order for that very reason.
Once again I am impressed with Via Mari’s ability to craft a story in not just one, but four installments that has a bit of everything. Romance, passion, drama, the list goes on. I feel like in a book series like this a relationship like Chase and Katarina’s that is constantly tried could have the potential to become redundant. This was never the case in this book or series in general. I was along for the ride through every bump, twist and curve in the plot. Overall this was a great addition to a great series. I am looking forward to reading more from Via Mari!

How is this series over? Via Mari has created such a fantastic series and such amazing characters. We’ve followed Kat and Chase on such a journey. Beautifully written, this conclusion truly was the perfect capstone. I am looking forward to reading this entire series again and again. Wonderfully and beautifully written. I am only sad that the series had to come to an end.

Degrees of Power was a great 5 star read and book four in the Prestian Series.

We start where book three left off. This is a great must read series, I highly suggest reading the first three books before this one.

We continue to watch Katarina and Chase’s relationship develop. She starts to give him more control, which is hard for her. We also see Katarina show some great strength as well. There is of course some outside danger that cause some issues and adds a great element to the story.

We of course get suspense, plenty of hot and steamy BDSM moments, love, action and so much more. This is a couple that I have grown to really like, they are great for each other. Chase quickly became a favorite for me and I liked Katarina’s innocence in the beginning and watching her develop throughout the series. I was sad to see this series end, however I can’t wait to read more from Via Mari. My emotions were all over the place, I was happy with the end but would have liked to have a little more. Via Mari does a great job of pulling you right in with her writing. 1-click and get started today.

Four Stars

I couldn’t live such a dangerous life. Fear a constant emotion. Kat lives a life full of love, passion, drama, possessive men and drug lords. Chase is a possessive man he needs to control everything around him. He learns to compromise with Kat on many things. I would love a guy like Chase but not as possessive. I liked that he cared about what happens to her but when do you get a breather? The author gave us a little bit of everything in this story. There was so much danger for everyone involved. The story was quick and smooth. I liked how the author bring these characters together. How they have grown from book one to book four. They definitely show growth in their relationship.

This story is a continuation. Please, do yourself a HUGE favor and read the first books in this series. You will love the,. Katarina and Chase are continuing on their insane journey of life and passion.
Katarina is a strong woman. And by that I mean super strong. This woman has gone through the ringer and has come out standing on the other side. While she still is needing to come to terms with the trust issues that she has in her past and those that she is currently facing with Chase, she grows by leaps and bounds as a person in this installment and you can tell how much power she has as a female character in a book of strong male leads.
Chase holds his own. He loves Kate. He is even able to put up with her independent nature and her distrustful side. He grows with her. He learns her and she learns him. He begins to understand that within a relationship, especially one founded as theirs was, there is a lot of give and take. Chase is a strong foundation of which they both stand and he is determined to not let them fail.
I highly recommend this series. You will fall in love with this story. This author has a masterful way of creating beautifully detailed scenes and intricate characters who are strong, independent and full of life.

Degrees of Power (A Prestian Series book 4) By Via Mari is the fourth book in her A Prestian Series. If you haven’t already read the first three books in this series I highly suggest you do as this one picks up where the last one left off. This is one of my favorite series I’ve read in a while it’s one I will definitely be rereading again and again. I was instantly hooked from page one till the very end. I couldn’t read fast enough I had to know what happens next. This author is one of my favorites and I can’t wait to read more from her.This story is the continuation of Kate and Chase’s story.These two are still continuing to have to look over there shoulders for danger especially now that it has intensified .Can Kate fully trust Chase? Will she be able to learn to let chase control some things?What happens when the try to keep family and friends safe? These two are off the charts HOT!Get ready for some twist and turns that had me on the edge of my seat trying to figure out what happens next. I highly recommend this Book especially if you want to know what happens next with Chase and Kate. I look forward to seeing what this Author comes out with next.

Degrees of Power by Via Mari is the fourth book in the Prestian series. This series does need to be read in order as it follows one couple throughout their journey, each book picking up where the last one left off.
The author really knows how to keep a story going. Four books in and I still enjoyed reading every second of Kate and Chase’s story. I really like how all the way through the book, as with the series, I just never knew which way it might turn. I never knew quite what to expect from the author and her story.
As with the others this book flowed well. It was fast paced and gripping while also knowing when to take a step back. The characters were as interesting as they always are. I can’t wait to see if there will be more to follow.

Degrees of Power (A Prestian Series Book 4) by Via Mari is the fourth and last book in the series. My love hate relationship with Katarina continues but she does redeem herself in this book where she finally shows some strength and courage. The mystery and intrigue, danger and action and thrills and spills and the elusive bad guy continues to play havoc and we find our characters in some harrowing and dramatic situations. The intrigue of the story and the drama that unfolds hold you captive as does the scorching heat between the sheets and everywhere else that was available. Don’t get me wrong I love a story that has lots of explicit sex but seriously, the man needs therapy. LOL. I think this book is the best of the series but the ending fell a little flat for me, there could have been more on the demise of the baddies.

What I do love is that through it all they are determined to fight for each other and their love of not only each other but those they consider family and friends. But let’s not forget those trusted men who are always in the background just taking care of the bad guys. I would love to see them get their own stories.

Degrees of Control, by Via Mari, is the third book of the Prestian series in the continuing epic story of Chace and Katarina. In this contemporary romance, we have traveled the trials and tribulations that these characters as they attempt to find themselves and forge forward in their lives, whether together or apart. So many choices ahead and watching Chace and Katarina navigate those kept me on the edge of my seat wondering which way they would go. I have enjoyed reading their story over the previous books and I really liked how the author continued in this third book. This was well thought out with a captivating story line. This is a series that is worth reading at least once.

Another great installment to this series. While Kat and Chase try to move forward after her declining of Chases proposal, other events from previous books are now coming to a head.
I really liked this book but I also want more from Chase. I need in his head! I get the protectiveness in some cases but sometimes its over the top and I want to know why. And the whole fiasco in this book that Kat went through could’ve been avoided if he just spoke to her.
The spark between these two is undeniable and I can understand the pull Kat feels and why she just can’t stay away. The heart wants what it wants regardless of what your head is saying to you.
I cant wait to see how this series ends and if we will get the happy ending they desperately need! Keep them coming!

Degrees of Control is the third book in the Prestian Series by Via Mari. This series just keeps getting better and better, it filled with action, suspense, mystery and hot romance. This series should be read in order as the books begin where the last book leaves off. This whole series has had me on the edge of my seat. I find myself reading well into the night not being able to put the book down till I’ve read the last page. This book follows Chase and Katarina in safety lock down as the try to find out who is trying to take down her father’s family and Chase and Katarina with them. I can’t wait to see what is coming in the next installment and look forward to reading Ms. Mari’s backlist. This series will keep you coming back for more.

Degrees of Control is the third book in the Prestian series from Via Mari. I have read the previous two books and in order. I would highly recommend that you do so as well or you will find that you are a bit dazed and confused as to what is going on with our characters at this point in the books. Each book really breaks down a stage of a BDSM/intimate relationship. In this one it is centered on the aspect of control.

I must say I enjoyed the other two books much more than this one. Not that this wasn’t a great read and I won’t be back for more because I sure will! These are fantastic reads, and ultimately this book made sense amongst the greater picture of things. I do believe once you have read the entire series you will see this for yourself. I’d be divulging just a bit too much if I explained too much more in my opinion.

The one reason I struggled was Kate in this book was a big pain in my rear end. I seriously found myself yelling out loud several times at her. This isn’t a bad thing though. Good books involve the reader right? She just really needs to let go of some insecurities herself and learn to trust not only others but herself.

The steam and kink is still there to keep you blushing and fanning yourself ladies, and don’t worry there is plenty of intrigue and adventure to balance it all out perfectly. I personally can’t wait to see what will come next for these two in the book four, Degrees of Power. Thanks for another great Via Mari!

Degrees of Power is book 4 in The Prestian Series written by Via Mari. This is a great series and I would suggest starting at book 1: Degrees of Innocence. The one thing Chase craves above all else is for Katarina to trust him and allow him control in certain aspects. Trust that he can handle Alfreita and the threat he poses along with being honest and not withholding anything. Chase and Katarina have had more issues and struggles than your average couple but will they finally be able to just be a couple with no outside interruptions. This whole series is amazing, it crosses so many issues with trust, control, faith in your self and others and forgiveness. There’s also a nice mixture of drama in the story. Degrees of Power will keep you wanting more throughout the entire story.

Degrees of Control by Via Mari is the third book in the Prestian Series. This is not a stand-alone story and you will be a little confused without reading the previous stories. I have enjoyed how Via Mari can keep my interest in the story. She does have fully developed characters that I have grown to love. This story continues where Chase asked Katarina to marry him and she turned him down. Now that seems harsh because she does love Chase but doesn’t want Chase to get hurt. The story goes on from this one point into an amazing mystery/thriller/romance all in one. I am not going to go on because I do not want spoilers in my review. Will Chase and Katarina have a happy ending? Will there be more heart ache in store for Chase and Katarina? You have to read this book to find out the answers to these questions.

Degrees of Control is the third book in the Prestian series by Via Mari. It is an erotic romantic suspense- full of emotion, highs and lows, mystery, action, danger, secrets, danger, passion, and more. I have been really enjoying this series, zipping my way through each book just because I need to know what’s going to happen. I had high expectations for this book and am happy to say that it was just as good as the first two, and definitely kept me hooked the whole way through. This book should be read as part of the series as there is a bridging story that continues from book to book, plus there are all the character introductions and other relevant information that you will need in order to really appreciate the story/series- so I strongly advise you to read the first two books before starting off on this one.
After the events in the previous book this one picks up with Kate deciding that Chase’s choices aren’t for her and has turned down his marriage proposal. But circumstances arise where she will need to play along and put up a front of being a happy couple. With their chemistry simmering just below the surface, it doesn’t take much for their passions to unleash. But with so much still up in the air, Katarina has some decisions to make……
Kate really frustrated me a lot through this story with all her trust issues, being hard to get along with, and generally being difficult and stubborn- placing herself and others in danger. I wanted to yell at her at times.
There is plenty of suspense and the tension was built to a very high level- which had me on the edge of my seat a lot of the time. There were a few unexpected developments and twists which kept thing quite interesting and had me clamouring to know how it all works out. Bring on the next book!

This is the 3rd part of this series and I loved it as much as the first. There was a lot going on and there were more than a few times I was like noooooo this can not happen, and there were more than a few times I wanted to smack Katarina upside her head..I couldn’t believe a couple things she did in this book, and if she had just listened half the time things would have gone much smoother. In saying that there were a few times I loved her taking control and then her poor security detail…LOL

Like I said there is a lot going on in this story but it all leads to one person and I’m hoping that book 4 will finally get this person figured out and out of the lives of Katarina and Chase and everyone else close to them. I can honestly say I’ve never seen people fly so much before in my life. Everytime I turned the page they were boarding this jet or this helicopter so I don’t have a book hangover, I have severe jet lag lol

I’m moving right on to book 4 as soon as I’m done writing this review. I love this series and I love this author, by now I’ve usually lost interest in a normal series but this one has me totally hooked and is as fresh as the beginning which just shows the talent this author has and her words flow so effortlessly.

I love it and can’t wait for more!

Degrees of Control is the third book in Via Mari’s Prestian series. Do not start with this book, you need to read the books in the order as then you really get the story, the journey … I truly think that the series gets better and better with each book … the writer’s attention to detail becomes clearer and clearer and you feel as if you are co-existing with Kate and Chase, right there … next to them! There are so many twists and turns … one moment you are slowly floating along, enjoying the ride and then suddenly you are at the edge of your seat, almost falling off!
Degrees of Control picks up after Kate has rejected Chase’s proposal for marriage. She struggles with trust and at times with what is right and what is wrong and she is so strong and at times I wish that we could also see another side of hers … on the other hand, I can so totally relate to it as when we are in control then at the end of the day there is no one else we can blame …
There are some twists here that you do not see coming so it is really good that there is at least one more book for us to enjoy the journey and I am wondering, what lesson does Kate have left to learn …

Katarina is confused on her feelings and struggling with trusting Chase and has declined his proposal. How can she love a man she can’t trust? Chase convinces Katarina to pretend to be engaged until everyone is safe. This is where things start to take an interesting twist.

There is so much that goes on, suspense, danger and several twists and turns along with a few surprises. All of the secondary characters added a great element to the story. Katarina frustrated me at times with her stubbornness but she was still the feisty and strong willed woman that Chase fell in love with. The heat was definitely turned up between Katarina and Chase, some kindle melting moments for sure. I was happy with how things came out but now I need the next book in the series to see just where everything leads. Degrees of Control by Via Mari is the third book in the Prestian series. This story is amazing, so glad I have been keeping up with it and can’t wait to see what happens next with Katarina and Chase.

These two definitely haven’t had the easiest time together. Lots of interesting things happen to them again in this book. Feels like these two will never catch a break and just get to be a normal couple.

The one thing that is different is Katarina decides she isn’t going to sit there passively and watch everything happen. She helps out in a big way.

I love Katarina and Chase together and can’t wait to see what adventures they go through next, I seriously doubt whatever happens next will go without something happening to one of them.

Degrees of Control is the third installment of Via Mari’s Prestian Series and all I can really say is wow. So many series start to fizzle out by the third book but somehow this one is still hot!
I would recommend starting the series from the very beginning if you haven’t already because each story builds upon the last, picking up where the others left off. Not to mention, you wouldn’t want to miss a single plot twist.
I would have to say Degrees of Control is my favorite installment of the series thus far. Intrigue, edge of your seat suspense and even a few tears shed all while keeping up with the steamy factor of the last two books.
Once again Chase and Katarina prove to be enjoyable characters with obstacles to overcome within and outside of their relationship and to say I’m invested is an understatement. Once again Via Mari hit it out of the park and left me craving more.

Degrees of Control by Via Mari is the third book in The Prestian series. This series must be read in order as it is a continuation that follows the same characters.
This is a strong series that really takes you in a ride. We are once again taken back into the lives of Kat and Chase. Lives that are as tumultuous as ever.
Each book successfully develops the characters and the story more, making sure you can’t get bored of reading about these two. This was as well written and fast paced as the previous two books. I am looking forward to the next.

Degrees of Control (A Prestian Series Book 3) by Via Mari is ​the third book in the series and is a suspense erotic romance story. This book continues on from the others and should not be read as a standalone because you will not have all the information about the characters and their world behind you. It took awhile for the story to rev up but when it did it got interesting and I sat up and took notice. I enjoyed but I found myself having issues with Kate she frustrated me in this book because she wasn’t willing to bend and always assumed the worst. There is lots of action and danger, secrets and mystery that will keep you intrigued to know what is going to happen.

Since finishing book 2 in this series I have been itching to start book 3 – I needed more of Chase and Katarina’s story and I was not disappointed at all! This is definitely turning out to be a 5 star series! The author took the drama to the next level in this book and for the first time I started questioning whether I actually like Katarina or not, this is the first time that I have ever had my feelings change towards a main character so far into the series and I love it! For me it means the author is keeping her characters fluid and they are evolving with the storyline! I still love Chase; he is an alpha male but with a softer side which I really like about him. There is still an intense sexual chemistry between then two of them in this story which doesn’t seem to be showing signs of getting any less – although Katarina had turned down Chase’s proposal I am still rooting for them as a couple!
I am absolutely looking forward to the fourth book in the series and seeing what happens with Chase and Katarina!

Degrees of Control ( A Prestian Series Book 3 ) by Via Mari is the third book in her A Prestian Series. I highly recommend reading the first two books in this series as well as they pick up where the last one left off. I’m loving this series and can’t get enough of Chase and Kate. There are a few twists and turns that had me on the edge of my seat trying to figure out what happens next. They will also take you on a emotional rollercoaster ride.i love the characters and the story flowed well.See what happens .I highly recommend reading this book. I can’t wait to read more from this Author.

This is Book 3 in the Prestian Series and I’m a little torn on this one. I truly thought this was the last book in the series but it turns out there is a 4th book. I’m ok with that. What I’m bummed about is that I am not as in love with the female protagonist as I was in the first 2. This book series moves at a really quick pace, so it’s natural that her feelings would change that fast also. HOWEVER, at times she is just down right mean. As I write this review, I realize that’s what makes a story good – having FEELINGS about a character instead of just being indifferent. For that reason, I will read the fourth to find out how it all wraps up.

This is a series that has intrigue and drama – It’s a roller coaster of drama and emotions. It has some cute and quirky moments and some dark and dangerous elements as well. At times it’s a perfect balance and at times it leans heavily to one side.

The story is developed and well plotted and this series MUST be read in order or it will make no sense. Please don’t do the author the disservice of reading out of order.
