I loved this story! Michelle and Royce are two peas in a pod, yet they seem to have no clue! Their love for adventure, the adrenaline and the way they seem to come together in some of the strangest ways. I loved reading about them and their time together, forced and not.
This book lit me up in so many ways. The characters, the plot and the smut were absolutely amazing.

This was a great 5 star read. I was excited to get Royce and Michelle’s story. They both have their own issues and start to become friends. There is a scary twist and my emotions were all over the place. The author does a great job of pulling you in with her writing. All of the characters added a great element to the story. The Mastermind is a brother’s best friend, billionaire boss, and a suspenseful contemporary romance. It is Book One in the WaterFyre Rising series but can be read as a standalone. I love getting to read new authors and let me tell you Nadia Han did not disappoint with this book. Her characters come alive drawing you into the story as if you were their friend.
We start by getting a flashback scene of the past where we find out what WaterFyre is. This scene also draws us into our main Hero’s life as he grew up. I loved that we got to see how his past kind of shaped his future and shaped him.
Remi and Audri know each other as she is his best friend’s little sister, though it takes them growing up and seeing each other again after years to realize they have a connection and a lot of things in common. Can they both overcome their past to make a future together? Is a romance worth jeopardizing his friendship? Will she even be okay in the dark world that his past has made his life go in? I love the strong heroine, Michelle who has made it on her own despite everything. Pair that with Royce, a sexy, nerdy, adventure seeker and you have one amazing story. This is a fake dating story, but that doesn’t last long as they start to break down each other’s walls and help heal each other’s hearts and past.
This is the second book in this amazing series and I must admit I can’t wait to read the next one. I love Nadia Han’s writing style and the way she makes her characters come alive, making me feel like I’m right there with them. You should definitely check out this series if you like strong characters, great character building, and feeling like you are in the story.

This author continues to impress me with The WaterFyre Rising Series. I enjoyed The Daredevil more than book 1. And I can’t wait for it to continue, knowing there’s 5 guys who have been friends and creating a video game since they were teens. The best part is so far both books work extremely well as standalone novels, but why after reading one would you jot want to read the others? Book 2 is a friends to lovers romance. Royce and Michelle are part of the same group of friends. Royce being one of the guys and Michelle being really good friends with Audri(Remi’s girl and Grayson’s sister) brought her into the group. Michelle is continuously fighting the demands of her past. Eating disorders and body dysmorphia that she developed as a child growing up in the pageant world, where everyone has to be perfect. These things about her are not accepted easily in past relationships, she’s viewed as tainted. It wasn’t till some guy saved her life that she decided to fight back against her demons. Royce doesn’t believe in love. In his eyes all it leads to is broken hearts and abandonment. Since that’s the life he lived. His dad left and his mom suffered, despite his aunt showing him all the love in the world. It wasn’t till he saved a girl’s life on his property that he decided to change his path and just keep a distance. These two are broken souls and the author does a phenomenal job showing the growth and healing they experience. These two characters were written to need each other, more than they realize. And it turned out beautifully.

Though Book one Is not necessary for this story, it does give you more background which makes the story depth better and I’d recommend it!

Overall, I enjoyed Audri and Remi’s story, it is full of suspense and action-packed. I struggled through parts of the book as I felt some of the writing seemed almost juvenile, but then it pick up amazingly and was well-written.

Doesn’t he come across Audri, a blast from the past and sister of one or his partners who he admits to himself he’s always had a thing for.
She’s in a bad way with a piece of crap boss when Remi takes over the very company she works for. The sparks between them are intense and dark broody Remi doesn’t want to destroy bright and hopeful Audri but the passion between them is completely undeniable. This is my first book with this author and I enjoyed it immensely! On to Book 2!

Wow what do I say about this AMAZING 5 start book! I truly would give it more stars if I could. This extremely talented Author never ever disappoints and continually keeps me on the edge of my seat. This is the second book in this wonderful series and brings us the story of Royce and Michelle. These fantastic characters weave their way into your heart immediately and you feel all their emotions right along with them. The authors vivid imagery makes you imagine everything they are going through and all their surroundings with such clarity. This is the second book in the WaterFyre series, and it was JUST AS AMAZING as the first book! The way that this author writes the story makes it feel as though you are immersed in the story and not just reading it. It was interesting to me that the characters knew each other from living in the same area but did not start dating until they met again out of the states. Both of the characters were drawn to one another, and their story was so stinking cute. I cannot wait to read more stories by this author and reread this wonderful book over and over again.

Royce is a Billionaire, business man and innovator who is interested in the power of Volcano’s. While in Iceland he meets a woman who at first infuriates him but as they spend more time together he starts to see the attraction to this powerful woman.
Michelle is a travel blogger and when her travel’s take her to Iceland she did not expect to met Royce in the middle of the trip. The privilege billionaire who thinks he is god but as she gets to know the real person see feels the chemistry building but can her past be put back there or will all the insecurities come through.
This is the second book in the WaterFyre series and I loved the first book and this one does not disappoint at all. I loved the way the relationship started rocky but as you read through the book you slow start to see the characters inside and the chemistry which works its way through to shine at the end.
I loved the free spirit nature of Michelle’s character and that she was could be herself with no repercussions and able to showed a brilliant side to her. Royce’s character was full of charm, but I loved that he was so clever but so clueless to the attraction was a redeeming quality.
I can’t wait to read the next book in this great series and the see who the next billionaire will be.

I thoroughly enjoyed how Han put the reader on an emotional roller coaster ride, allowing the reader to feel as if they are right there along for the ride with each character. The fake dating that quickly led to a relationship was a great addition to the story line. This one was a little slow to start for me but once it picked up I couldn’t put it down. This would not deter me from recommending The Daredevil to a friend. The mysterious twists and turns kept me on the edge of my seat wanting more. And the spice, OH MY! I am excited to see what installment three has in store for Han’s readers.

Absolutely loving this series so far. I cannot wait to see what this author has in store for us with the rest of the characters. This book is about Royce and Michelle. It may be one of my favorites because finally, there’s a character with my name!!! Royce and Michelle are friends from the same group so they have seen eachother and hung out as a group before but never had any time alone until, Michelle is on her way to the place she will be staying while out of the country and the car see ice breaks down. Royce is there to the rescue and takes her to her home away from home for a few weeks. They both have had an insane attraction to eachother but Michelle is the average girl and Royce is millionaire who couldn’t possibly be interested in her. Royce and Michelle spend plenty of time together. Getting to know one another one on one. Both have baggage and could be a recipe for disaster but they help eachother navigate things in their lives. They become close. Royce has come to Michelle’s rescue more than once during the book and he’s just the total package. Someone is after Michelle for a 20 year vendetta they have against her and they go to far. Royce will stop at nothing to get to the bottom of it. Royce also has someone out there who is looking to destroy him too. This book is like an emotional rollercoaster with so many unexpected things happening and it was great from beginning to end. I love this series and book 2 definitely did not disappoint!! I recommend reading this series in order as some of the storyline from book 1 is addressed in many ways in book 2.
I love meeting Michelle and Royce…..Michelle is a no holds barred travel blogger that is now taking her life in her hands with no one to dictate how she should live her life…..Royce is owner of his own companies and totally super smart…definitely science smarts…but when it comes to love and relationships he hold them from a distance. When Michelle runs into Royce in Iceland they realize they have mutual friends between them. Michelle and Royce knew each other from long ago….but now their attraction toward each other is totally scotching off the charts!!
When strange things start happening at Royce’s businesses….murder and accidents that are not explained…someone from his past is out to get revenge. When the revenge goes to far and also impacts Michelle…Royce will do everything in his power to keep Michelle safe…

The Daredevil is the second book in the WaterFyre Rising series by Nadia Han. It is a intriguing friends-to-lovers/billionaire romance. It’s a great addition to the series- a romantic suspense with plenty of intrigue, danger, mystery, tension, secrets, sensitive/trigger issues, chemistry, drama, and sizzle. I do love this series, but it did take me a beat or two to connect with the characters and become invested in their story. I felt like the story was a little slow to get going, even though there were some ‘tense’ moments- and some of the dialogue at the beginning felt a little stiff. Then as the story progressed and the pace picked up, there seemed to be moments where the story slowed and dragged, before picking up again. But the sizzle, drama, and suspense made up for it in the end, so it didn’t detract too much from my overall enjoyment of the story. Looking forward to seeing what ‘The Innovator’ (Book #3) has in store for us (due to release in March 2023). Happy Reading!

The Daredevil is the second book in the WaterFyre Rising Series. This is a Friends to Lover’s Contemporary Romance that I absolutely loved reading. This is a fairly new author to me and I’m definitely going to check out what other books they have written. I found myself lost in the pages and couldn’t put it down till I finished. He’s living life on the edge until he meets her. and she’s got a monster in the closet and is only half way living her life. That is until she meets him. Can he be what she needs to fight the monster in her closet ? I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. I’m looking forward to reading more from this Author

This was a really good book! There’s one circumstance that ties the characters together but for the most part this reads like a standalone so I don’t think you have to read the first book to enjoy this one. This book takes place in Iceland, and the imagery the author uses is just magnificent. I thought I was right there with them. I really enjoyed this story and the characters. In Book 2 of the WaterFyre Rising Series, this story focuses on two other friends from the group of friends in the 1st installment, Royce and Michelle. Royce is a volcanologist and Michelle, a travel blogger, finds themselves ironically enough in the country of Iceland. Their circumstances bring their friendship turned to romance together. From fake dating to healing, they end up needing each other more than they ever thought they would. This was great reading after finishing the 1st book in the series. Another great asset to this story is that this can be a stand alone book without having to read the previous one. Or who knows perhaps for some, it will entice them to read the first book in the series. Another great romantic suspenseful story that has been reading till the very end. Very much enjoyed this book as much as the first and cannot wait till the next book in the series comes out!
Royce and Michelle. This was such a steamy book and such a good storyline. Royce is a hard guy to crack and Michelle still believes in love. The scientific and blogger storyline was a hook for me as well as the mystery. Royce grew up in a way that makes him scared to love and Michelle also didn’t know her father and he’d abandoned her. Royce has valid feelings in the beginning about not wanting to be like his father. Overall this book was a great read and I definitely recommend it.

The Daredevil is the second book in the Waterfyre Rising series, and it is incredible! I was captivated and breezed through the entire thing before I knew it! You can read this as a standalone if you so choose, but you don’t want to miss out on the magical writing of Nadia Han. I was at the edge of my seat and loved every minute of it.
Royce is our daredevil who loves adrenaline spikes and seeks the thrills that others shy away from. But underneath everything is a man who just wants to be loved and accepted. Michelle is traveling for a new job, but she has walls around her heart and emotions, unwilling to take risks again. Will they be enough to save each other from what they’ve accepted as life, or will they create another excuse to hide away?
You can feel the chemistry leaping off the pages and it comes so naturally, which was incredibly refreshing. This author will be a constant recommendation to anyone in my life for sure, I highly recommend it!

But they are made for one another, water and fire, light and dark. Family secrets bring them together, reveals dark secrets and can destroy them both. I read through this book overnight. I didn’t want to put it down. It had great suspense and I can usually guess the plot twists, but I definitely did not in this one!

This turned out to be a wonderful story! At first I was concerned about that is moving along at a slow pace with all the inter-speculation. That did bother me throughout the whole story but eventually I was able to get past it and get immersed into the story. The actual action and suspense throughout the story is attention grabbing. I loved that part of the story as well as the romance between Michelle and Royce. The connection between these two is cosmic and it is shown numerous times throughout the story. One of my favorite things is Royce’s job because of all the neat things I learned and I don’t think I have run across another one in my years of reading.
This story is filled with lovely sayings and thoughts. I loved that Royce is a volcanologist because that leads to a lot of cool and sweet sayings. One of my favorite…okay there is the T-shirt sayings (so cute!) but also:
“Love flows through all of us like magma flowing through the earth. Sometimes it takes an eruption for you to understand its beauty, its power, its essence—the love that is seeped within nature.”
Just makes me go Awe! See what I mean? Just filled with wonderful sentiment.
I really enjoy all the work this author puts into these stories. So many connections, fun filled times perfectly woven through the story. I get pulled into their lives and come to care about the characters and what is going to happen. I look forward to more from this series and this author.

I was not expecting all the steaminess this book provided. So if that isn’t your thing then this book will not be for you. It is done very tastefully compared to other books. However, once I started I could not stop. I had to know how their story played out!
Royce and Michelle are friends through their mutual friends. Their story turns out to be so much more. They discover that it’s the Universe that has put them in each other’s lives. They have encountered one another without really knowing. I loved that part of their story. They were destined to be together.
Royce was raised by his aunt and encountered some hard moments very early in his life that likely shaped him to be who he turned into. He is a successful business owner that Michelle was trying to not let herself get caught up in. When unlikely circumstances kept pushing them together!
The end, I was not expecting that at all. What a great happy twist and this author did an amazing job at making you feel like you were watching their story unfold and keeping you sucked in the whole time.

I knew I was going to love this book SO much! I read the first one and loved it from the very first page! It was the same for this one! I was actually stuck just from reading the blurb! So good! Characters are amazing, the plot was great! Author has a way of grabbing your attention and keeping you interested and I love that! And it’s friends to lovers? That’s one of my favorite tropes and I can’t get enough of it. Michelle and Royce are just great together! There’s some spice in this book as well but who doesn’t love that? 😍 the suspense and drama ALSO had me hooked. I need a book that gives me all the emotions and this book did that! Such a great read!! Check trigger warnings before reading!

What a great story! I love a good suspenseful mystery twirled with some romance. Book one of the WaterFyre Rising Series, this book features Remington or Remi, who emerges from his dark and mysterious past as he claims his own path in life being successful and not letting disruptions in his way. There is also Audri, the sister of one of Remi’s best friends, who is seeking her own path in the world amidst her own past and present struggles. The various moments they had appeared in each other’s lives, they always had a sense of connection and alluring connection for one another. When their circumstances fall into seeing each other more often, they eventually can’t help it but to see where this connection leads to. It is honestly amazing to see their love journey emerge. As their relationship develops, other alarming details seem to start connecting Remi and Audri into unfortunate circumstances that seem all interconnected. Lies, deceptions, harassment, past secrets and betrayal lead them into such horrible situations they never imagined. Remi has been known to make sure those who wronged him got what they deserved but how would Audri feel about his actions towards protecting himself and those he cares for? This is a must read and a great introduction to another amazing series! Contemporary romance and suspense at its best!
Royce lives is life look for the next thrill and pushing limits. Michelle, a travel blogger doesn’t want to get involved or attached to anyone due to her past demons. Their friendship turned romance makes them both face their demons and obstacles. This is the second book but you can definitely read this as a stand alone. There are steamy scenes. A good story.

4.5 stars There is a caution with this book so make sure to check it out before reading the book. The Daredevil is a friends-to-lovers contemporary romance tale where the suspense is often palpable. Nadia has done it again with secrets and lies, danger and hope, steam and passion there is something for all to enjoy. It is the second book in the WaterFyre Rising series and can be read as a standalone, but I encourage you to read book 1 first as it is such a good read. As the books title suggests the Daredevil is living life on the edge and the high and the thrill that goes with it. That is until he meets her. It is the one that could make him whole again? She is living a half-life and that life is shrouded with a monster that no one can banish. That is until she meets him. He may just be the one who can fight her monster, but can he keep her safe? This thrilling tale will have you on the edge of your seat as you embark on this journey of highs and lows I can’t wait for the next instalment.
