The story of Kain and Izara was so good. Their journey to discovering their true destiny was full f adventure and mystery. Tabi Slick has built a vibrant universe and this novel was the perfect beginning to a really exciting story. I fully enjoyed meeting Kain and Izara as they started their journey to discovering who they really are. The novel by Tabi Slick raised a lot of questions and I look forward to finding out the answers as the story continues.

Tompkin’s School: For The Extraordinarily Talented (A Supernatural Academy Trilogy Book 1) By Tabi Slick. Izara and her twin brother Kain are shipped off to a boarding school by their dad, but it’s not just the new move that rattles the twins, they change and I don’t mean metaphorically. I loved reading this book, the relationship between Izara and her brother Kain it’s a welcome one, too often I read sibling rivalry, this was a welcome change for them to be close and come together when needed. Such a brilliant unique story, I’m really looking forward to the next book

Tomkins School for the Extraordinarily Talented by Tabi Slick a talented four-star read. This is number one in the Supernatural Academy trilogy and I am excited to sink into the rest of the trilogy, I am so excited for number two, I need to see what happens next. The world building and character development was very well done and even though they were out there they were believable and made you need to know more about the characters, especially Izara and Kain, they reminded me of when curiosity caught the cat, and I know that’s not exactly what I mean to say, but honestly it’s the closest I can come up with without giving the game away. Bring on the rest of the series as I need more academy in my life, I would have given this five-stars but there was a couple of points that just made me stop.

Tompkin’s School: For the Extraordinary talented by Tabi Slick is a 3 star read.
Kain and Izzy are twins, they’ve been sent off to boarding school by their father after Kain punched him not long after their mother died and their father married his mistress, but Tompkin’s school is hiding secrets and the twins are starting to have really weird and scary dreams.
I was honestly confused by this book, by the time I got to the end I had more questions than answers, but maybe that’s just me, I would however recommend that you try it for yourself and see what you think.

Tompkin’s School: For The Extraordinarily Talented (A Supernatural Academy Trilogy Book 1) by Tabi Slick is a great introduction to this series. The Torvik, twins Izzy and Kain are great characters, can’t wait to see their development in future stories. The world the author builds, seems familiar but also new and strange. The story kept my interest and kept me turning pages. I must say I was not prepared for the cliff hanger. I am looking forward to the next one.

This school for the Supernatural talented boarding school sounds like it would be an interesting school to attend. There are paranormal studies, and plentiful mysteries to go around.
Izzy and Kain are two new students to Tompkin’s that found they have talents that were hidden. There was darkness around the school that makes matters worse. Will Izzy and Kain realize what is going on in time or will evil take over. Tabi Slick has created a high school for the gifted. The story was a bit slow to begin but it sure ramped up in a hurry. I found me turning pages rapidly turning pages to see what is in store for the twins. I recommend this story for young readers to adults.

Paranormal YA fiction can sometimes feel trite or overdone. However I really enjoyed Slick’s take on the paranormal universe in these pages. I was extremely intrigued by how the book opened and then all of a sudden you are transported into such a fascinating world. The family dynamics only helped play into the depth of the storyline. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and look forward to reading the rest of the series.

I knew the moment I saw the cover of this novel that I just had to read it and find out what this world is all about. I found out this is Tabi Slick’s first novel after I had finished it and I must say this is a very good and well thought out, exciting, and adventurous read that you would think that this is an author who has been writing forever. I am so excited to run and check out the other books in the series now!

In this novel we meet Izara and Kain, twins that are figuring out that their world is not what it seems and that their magic is only just beginning to come to fruition. These two are settling into a boarding school and start to discover things that may be dangerous to uncover. This is such a fun read and I am so excited by the premise that I literally can’t wait to get my hands on more!

Tompkin’s School For the Extraordinarily Talented is the first book in the Supernatural Academy Trilogy by Tabi Slick. This is a very intriguing young adult paranormal academy story, with fantastic world building, drama, mystery, and adventure. This is my first book by Tabi Slick, so I wasn’t really sure of what to expect going in- but have come out the end really happy to have stumbled on this wonderfully original pearl- it has left me really looking forward to reading the rest of the series.
When twins Izzy and Kain are packed off to boarding school little do they suspect how much they are about to discover. There is so much more to them, and their new boarding school- their adventure has just begun. With plenty of supernatural elements, dramatic developments, mystery and suspense- Ms. Slick has cleverly blended them all into this captivating read!
The end of the book leaves us wanting for more- so I’m off to hunt down the next book!

Thank you, Tabi Slick!

Tompkin’s School: For the Extraordinarily Talented by Tabi Slick is the first book in A Supernatural Academy Trilogy. Welcome to boarding school for twins Izzy and Kain and their new lives. This is a book with supernatural, paranormal, and a story of growing up. I really enjoyed the story, but the ending left a lot of unanswered questions which I hope to see answered in the other books in the series. I am always trying to find books to recommend to a younger audience and I think this will do well to capture their attention and keep them wanting more. I enjoyed the twins as well as other characters in the book. They are realistic but also a bit compelling as they develop in the book. I like the twins have their own stories and an overlap. They are developed individually and this could lead the series in interesting directions. I look forward to reading more in this series.

Tompkin’s School: For The Extraordinarily Talented by Tabi Slick is the first book in the A Supernatural Academy Trilogy. I found this to be a pretty unique story with an interesting plot.
I liked the fact that the book is centred around twins – this is something you see very often and it is the first time I’ve read about it in this manner. They both played off against each other well.
I thought the story itself could have used a few minor polishes however overall it was a good, entertaining story. As the start of a series it definitely caught my attention. I am looking forward to see what is next at this school.

Tabi Slick! Wow-what you have created in this read is epic! I found the beginning quite slow, but because of the synopsis of this read, I pushed through the beginning as I really wanted to see where this book would go and am I glad I did! This book was kicked up to a whole other notch and I couldn’t put it down! This read is such a brilliant mentally visual read, it came so easily to picture the whole read in my mind while reading it, it actually helped me connect with the storyline and characters even more! This read has action, adventure, twists and turns that have you on the edge of your seat wondering what will happen next. I absolutely love the supernatural aspect of this read, anything with supernatural beings in automatically has me wanting to read it, and I wasn’t disappointed reading this! I loved following Izzy & Kain’s story to see how they change and develop over the read and can’t wait to see where we are taken next. This is a brilliant YA Paranormal read that shouldn’t be missed! I can’t wait to read more from this author and see where we are taken next!

If you like BR Kingsolver, Leia Stone, Jenetta Penner, K.F. Breene, and Krista Street you’ll be thoroughly entertained by this original page-turner.
My Review:
This is the first book I’ve read by Tabi Slick. Tompkin’s School is about Izara and her brother Kain who are sent to a boarding school in Oklahoma because they clash with their father’s new mistress. At this point Izzy and Kain seem perfectly normal teens, but when they get to Tompkin’s school strange things begin to happen to both of them. I loved that the plot was so fast moving yet didn’t feel rushed, and I got to enjoy this thrilling ride with the twins and their friends. Can’t wait for the next one!

There is more to Izara and Kain than meets the eye! Tabi Slick has done a wonderful job of taking us through the ever-changing, fast-paced journey of twins Izara and Kain. There’s plenty of twists and turns in the plot, which only fueled my desire to keep turning the page of their mystifying world. I didn’t always like, understand, or agree with Izara or Kain, but that is what made them more believable, more realistically flawed. Who knew, having a Nozzle for a father, and new (formally side piece secret) of a stepmother, sending you away could be the start of a fabulously magical life.
This cliffhanger ending has got me definitely wanting to come back for more!

Tompkin’s School: For The Extraordinarily Talented (A Supernatural Academy Trilogy Book 1) by Tabi Slick is a YA paranormal adventure story that is unique, original and interesting. Tabi is clever in her narrative and her character building as you never know which way she will take you. The story is dark and there is a lot of tension and action but it is nicely paced.

Izzy and Kain, twins, are sent away to school but it is not your normal school. They also find they are much more than they could have ever imagined. If only they can’t get to the bottom of things seen and unseen they might get a better grasp of who they are.

This is a true little gem and I very much look forward to where Tabi takes us next.

5-Stars

Tompkin’s School: For The Extraordinarily Talented (A Supernatural Academy Trilogy Book 1) by Tabi Slick was an extraordinary read. First off, I loved that the setting for this story was in Oklahoma. The author did an excellent job of bringing it to life in this fictional novel. She gave the various scenery great detail and made it easy to visualize.

Secondly, I loved main characters Izzy and Kain. Their names were unique and easy to use. They were both fun and I loved their sibling bond. The story was told more from Izzy’s point of view but she allowed both characters to really shine. I enjoyed watching them grow and develop as the storyline progressed. They endured quite a lot after moving to the Academy. If you are looking for an excellent paranormal/young adult novel, this is it. I highly recommend it.

The story Tompkin’s School: For The Extraordinarily Talented (A Supernatural Academy Trilogy Book 1) by Tabi Slick is a wonderful book that I loved reading. It hooked me in from the beginning and I didn’t want to put it down until I had read the final page. The main character finds that they can shift into a demon and that someone is trying to use their powers for evil. The book has mystery and danger. The story is written in such a way that I could feel the emotions and conflict that comes from the main character. The author does an amazing job of weaving a tale that had me turning pages wondering what was going to happen next. In addition to the main character, there are also secondary ones, each with their part to play. There are those with an evil agenda and also those who are helpful and friendly. Don’t miss out on a story that is interesting, intriguing, and entertaining. I would highly recommend reading it.

I enjoyed this book. It is a young adult story about two people who are sent to boarding school. It is a special kind of school, only for the highly talented to go there. I found this book to be a little slow in the beginning but once it picked up, it took off and I had a hard time putting it down. The characters are great and I had no issues connecting with them. This story is about two young adults that seem to be normal until strange things begin to happen to them. They seem to have some special powers and now someone wants them and not for good either. This is an enjoyable story that keeps you engaged. I highly recommend this book.
