My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Tompkin’s School: For the Extraordinarily Talented by Tabi Slick is the first book in A Supernatural Academy Trilogy. Welcome to boarding school for twins Izzy and Kain and their new lives. This is a book with supernatural, paranormal, and a story of growing up. I really enjoyed the story, but the ending left a lot of unanswered questions which I hope to see answered in the other books in the series. I am always trying to find books to recommend to a younger audience and I think this will do well to capture their attention and keep them wanting more. I enjoyed the twins as well as other characters in the book. They are realistic but also a bit compelling as they develop in the book. I like the twins have their own stories and an overlap. They are developed individually and this could lead the series in interesting directions. I look forward to reading more in this series.
