5-Stars

Tompkin’s School: For The Extraordinarily Talented (A Supernatural Academy Trilogy Book 1) by Tabi Slick was an extraordinary read. First off, I loved that the setting for this story was in Oklahoma. The author did an excellent job of bringing it to life in this fictional novel. She gave the various scenery great detail and made it easy to visualize.

Secondly, I loved main characters Izzy and Kain. Their names were unique and easy to use. They were both fun and I loved their sibling bond. The story was told more from Izzy’s point of view but she allowed both characters to really shine. I enjoyed watching them grow and develop as the storyline progressed. They endured quite a lot after moving to the Academy. If you are looking for an excellent paranormal/young adult novel, this is it. I highly recommend it.
