Levi (The Brothers of Creekside Ranch Book 1) by Edith Mackenzie

LOVED this story! Captivating, full of action & suspense & likable characters. Just the right amount of humor to keep
The reader entertained. Very enjoyable. Excited to read the next two books of the series that will focus on the other two brothers.

Bella is running from the Russian mob, when she finds herself hiding as a nanny of an orphaned 9yr old girl, who is living with her triplet brothers on a ranch. Not too familiar with domestic chores & children, this task gives Bella a run for her money. Ex-Navy Seal, Levi, returns home to his family ranch to help his two brothers run the ranch & raise their sister. When Levi gets a call from a military buddy asking to house Bella and keep her safe until the trial, they use the nanny job as a cover. Undeniable attraction develops between Levi & Bella, as the everyone attempts to adjust to their new way of life. Levi struggles with his anger and PTSD, while Bella learns to stand up for herself. Can Levi and his family keep Bella safe and can Bella help Levi work through his demons from his previous life to build something special? Beautiful love story that leaves you rooting for the “happily ever after” ♥️

Phenomenally written, this was my first Edith MacKenzie book, but it will not be my last. Can’t wait to delve into the next two Brothers of Creekside Ranch Books! 5 stars for sure!

This story has a sad start, a sad under-lying reason for Levi and Bella to meet. While the reason is sad the rest of the story line and characters are sweet, fun and oh so cute. I really liked how these two characters needed each other and then that need turned into something else altogether. And in such a short amount of time.

This trio of brothers and their sister will make for some very fun stories. Doesn’t everyone love a cowboy? A family man? Levi is just what we need. He’s rough and tough and needs the kindness that Bella brings to the table. She also brings the love that only a female can give, both to Levi and his siblings.

This author’s way with words keeps you engrossed in the story. Even with the sweet story there is a touch of danger since the Russian Mafia is involved. Thankfully Levi is ex-Navy Seal so he should be able to save the girl and the day!!

Hopefully the rest of the family finds their happily ever afters sooner rather than later!!

Levi is a retired Navy SEAL. He’s back to living on a ranch with his triplet brothers after their dad and step-mom were killed. The triplets have a ranch and a little sister to take care of now. Levi’s connections bring the perfect nanny to help care for their younger sister. Bella, the nanny, is a witness-in-hiding until she can bring down her mafia ex-boyfriend. The siblings and Bella learn to get along and get used to life together on the ranch. When disaster strikes they have to band together for everyone’s sake.
“Levi” would be a perfect Hallmark movie. It was a wholesome story with likeable characters that was an easy read.

I found this story to be a really good read. Who knew Levi, a military scarred from his time on duty and Bella, A once weak turned strong who is in hiding could become each other’s saviors. It’s an adventurous ride to their happily ever after. Also I can’t wait to read more of Amos and Elijah’s story. It’s a great read! Edith Mackenzie excited for more.

This was a good read! Was romantic, but because it was clean there wasn’t any steamy or explicit scenes. It was thrilling and interesting. I really liked the characters and liked seeing their dynamic. It was enthralling and kept me interested. I’m intrigued to see where the series goes and I can’t wait to read the next installment!

I really enjoyed this wholesome mystery. Levi, a tough former Navy SEAL, has agreed to help protect and hide Bella who is needed to testify against her ex-boyfriend. Little do each other know, they are exactly what each of them needed. There really wasn’t a dull moment in the book but the beginning had a slower start but boy was it hard to put down. The character development between the key characters was great and I found I was falling in love with the family. At times, I was holding my breath with anticipation at what was to come next. I can’t wait for the next installment.

The love story developed here is endearing, and the witty banter adds to the appeal. There are many concepts at which the story hits on, “I can fix him”, strong female heroine, and “tough guy with lots of layers” pretty much sums it up. It’s a good drive for the book and overall plot, but instances of the heroine rushing in to save the day and being amazing adds a stretch that seems both unrealistic in terms of the characters backstory but as an overall unrealistic feel.

Overall a good, quick read that tugs in the heart strings and leads the reader feeling satisfied with the happy ending.

I absolutely loved this story! Whilst I love romance stories with the steamy scenes sometimes it is nice to read a clean romance story and this was 100% that! I loved getting to know the characters Levi and Bella (also known as Beccy) they certainly had a love hate relationship and I just loved them together! The story may have been a little predictable but I didn’t care because I was completely swept up in the blossoming romance between the two main characters (even if they didn’t want to admit it). I knew that Levi was going to be a big softy underneath that hardened exterior and I knew Bella would be the one to break down those barriers! I also loved all of the secondary characters and I’m very excited for each other brothers to get their own stories and Little Allie was just the sweetest! She’s definitely lucky with those big brothers to look out for her!
A wonderful read and one that I would highly recommend – I can’t wait for the next book! This was also a wonderful introduction to a new author!

Book 1 of The Brothers if Creekside Ranch is fabulous. I enjoyed immersing myself in this ranch and this little family. Triplet brothers raising their sister after the recent passing of their parents. Levi, former Navy Seal, brings Bella to the ranch to protect her at the request of one of his Seal buddies. Neither Levi nor Bella know what they are in for when they get there. This story is compelling and the descriptions made it all come to life in my mind. I can’t wait to continue this journey with this family.

Levi had me hooked from the first page. The author has a way with words and I hardly put my kindle down while reading this book. The book started right in the middle of the action. I thought Levi was a jerk in the beginning and was happy to learn the reason why, and start to see a transition to him mid-book. His brothers are fun and very loveable so I can’t wait to read their stories. Bella is not at all what I expected. She grew up an aristocrat, but somehow ended up with a Russian mob boy friend. I wish there was more back story there, but it gave us enough information to go on, and we discovered more of their past relationship as the story went on. The ending was abrupt but at the same time was kind of a perfect happily ever after. I am glad to know the story continues in book two though. Happy to have found a new author and series!

Levi (The Brothers of Creekside Ranch Book 1) by Edith Mackenzie. This is such a good clean western romance. Its the story of Levi who we met in the very first The Brothers of Creekside Ranch book. He has been put in charge of Bella or Beccy the nanny ( her secret identity) who has been sent to the ranch for protection from her mob ex boyfriend. He is in the Russian mob and when she got him arrested she thought she would be free but not at all. He’s determined to kill her. Levi has grown up taking care of all his brothers and little sister Allie. He doesn’t really want the responsibility of looking out for anyone else but the more time he spends with Bella he’s liking her. She is also becoming a pain in his behind but he’s promised to look out for her. When Allie gets kidnapped Levi is furious and Bella is devastated. Will Levi and Becca make a relationship work out and will Allie be found safe? Read this fun, clean romance to find out!

5 stars!

I really enjoyed this book. Bella is an all around sweet woman, and the way Levi treats her is just disgusting since he knows nothing about why she has been thrust into his care. He just makes assumptions. On the other hand he is going through some things of his own so I can see why he is distrustful of people and wary. Bella being dropped into the brother’s and Allie’s lives is the best thing that could have happened for all of them and the bond they all form is nice, especially for Bella due to the past she has shared with her ex. Bella is a strong and amazing woman for protected Allie the way she does. I hope to see more of the brothers and see what becomes of Levi’s brothers, Amos and Elijah.

Levi was a sweet/hard different type of romance than I’m used to. A band of male identical triplets, which gives me at least 2 more books to look forward to. This is Levi’s wild ride. Well written with beautiful character growth especially for the main female character was exponential.
In witness protection to be hidden from her Russian Mafia ex-boyfriend, Bella finds herself a nanny to a recently orphaned girl. Though she’s not Bella to them but Beccy instead. The only one who knows her real identity is Levi. Bella does everything she can to fit and blend in but housework and cooking was never something she ever did before.
Levi, ex-Navy seal, has been tasked to keep Bella safe. He uses it to his advantage by suggesting she be a nanny to his baby sister. Levi is deeply wounded from his time in the military, so if you suffer from ptsd go into this novel and tread lightly.
I know people personally who could sympathize with Levi as they’ve battled that monster as well.
Helping each other along the way Bella and Levi end up growing closer to one another, developing a connection that grows throughout.
Bella is posh and Levi is hard nosed and hands on, what would these two ever have in common?
Is it a story of safety?
Or is it about opposites attracting?
Do their feelings get in the way?
If only their lives were easier, maybe they could explore the chemistry between them. Maybe there is just lots to look forward to, not only in Levi’s story but in the future books starring Amos and Elijah.

I read this story in one sitting! I took an immediate liking to all the characters and their differences. They’re no stranger to tragedy and rough situations, but are a close knit family and the new nanny Beccy fits right in. This definitely was a wholesome cowboy romance and I can’t wait to visit these characters again in future installments of this series.

I look forward to reading more of Edith’s books! I can tell she is very knowledgeable about horses and writes a story you could make into a movie. It was an entertaining read and I can’t wait to read more. Thrilling and romantic! A great combo.

This was an enjoyable and engaging western style, clean romance, which kept me happily turning the pages. Bella Orstwell, is an English aristocrat who helped get her abusive Russian mafia boyfriend arrested, but is now in hiding whilst awaiting the trial. Bella has to pretend to be both the housekeeper to the Delaney Brothers and a nanny to their younger sister. Although all three of the brothers are attractive, it’s cowboy, Levi that catches her eye, however, it’s also ex-Navy SEAL Levi who is in charge of protecting her. Levi is busy enough helping his brothers run the ranch and raising his little sister, without having to take on a ‘babysitting gig’.
He definitely wasn’t expecting Bella who is both annoying and lovely at the same time, and all he can think about is kissing her, when he’s not ordering her around, for her safety. Meanwhile, Bella is determined not to follow all of Levi’s many orders, but although she has sworn off men, there is something about wounded hero Levi which makes her want to heal him. Soon the couple have more dangerous things to deal with as any HEA can only happen if Levi can keep Bella alive when her past comes looking for her. The main characters are all likeable and relatable, and the chemistry between Levi and Bella came across in the narrative and in their banter. I was hooked from start to finish and I felt immersed in the storyline, which was a good mix of, drama, suspense and romance.

Levi is an ex-SEAL that is settling into life on the family ranch. After the tragic loss of both their father and stepmother, Levi and his two brothers are also raising their much younger sister. Things become interesting when Levi is asked to keep a mysterious woman safe so she can testify against her criminal ex-boyfriend. Posing as “Beccy”, a nanny for their sister, Bella is not anyone’s nanny, let alone housekeeper. One small act upsets the whole operation and puts the little sister at risk. How can Bella make things right with the brothers, especially Levi? This is going to be an excellent series. The first book sets the stage for some interesting stories to follow. Highly recommended!

LOVED this one! It is a wonderful beginning to a new series. It has action, suspense, drama and some romance. This is very well written from the storyline to the building of the cast. I really *felt* for these characters and I actually was very moved by a scene that included a dog. I enjoyed meeting Levi’s family and learning more about him and what makes him tick. The female lead was a complete mystery and I am going to leave her that way so you can discover her secrets all on your own. She did surprise me more than once.

This is a first time author for me. I adored her character’s and can not wait for the next in the series. While this is a clean romance the story is fulfilling enough that I did not miss the open door scenes.

This is a contemporary romance story with a bit of excitement thrown in for good measure. This story had a bit of everything you could want from this genre – great characters with a strong connection, a sweet and believable romance as well as bit of action for entertainment. I thought the two main characters worked really well together. There was push back from both of them in the start but the bond between them grew into such a strong connection.
I thought the author did a great job with the supporting characters too. Everyone added to the overall story nicely. The book was well developed and a truly sweet romance. I am looking forward to more from this author.

This book was so GREAT I literally could not put it down and finished it within 24hours, which is something I can do if I am truly hooked! I have read other books by this author and was so excited when I saw this book as it sounded like something totally up my ally to read. Levi, the main character, has very bad PTSD as he is an ex-Navy Seal who has come back to his family’s home due to his parents’ demise. One of his close friends call him and states that they have a rose that needs planting, which means he needs to help watch someone who is in protective custody. This is how we meet Bella. Bella has an ex who with her testimony will be able to put him away for a long time so her being safe is the only objective. This was not your average love story, which made it great as it was one of a kind and a very great read! I cannot wait to read more books in this series as well as by this author!

Levi has been forced to return home to help run the family ranch and to look after his little sister with his brothers when his dad and stepmother died. They are all trying to find the balance in their lives but when an old military friend of Levi’s asks for a favour, he is more than happy to help protect the person in his charge.

Bella is scared, she put herself in a position of no return with a man who is violate and evil, when she receives a way out, she takes it with both hands but when she lands on the doorstep of Levi and his family, can she keep the pretence up with the family or will she break as they openly welcome her into the family. Plus, can she also hide the chemistry between her and Levi?

This is the first time I have read a book but this author and will not be the last. I enjoyed the way the story flowed, and the characters were well developed, the contrast between Levi and Bella was a lovely dimension with the higher society in which Bella lived with the coldness of her family to the honest and warmth that flowed through Levi’s family was great to read.

With the secondary characters this brought the world to life, and I am desperate to see if the author continues the series with the other brothers whose stories are there for the taking and to also see more into the future of Bella and Levi. I cannot wait.

Levi (The Brothers of Creekside Ranch Book 1) by Edith Mackenzie – Review by Jessica Stone

Bella, a young English aristocrat is forced to go into hiding, after leaving her abusive Russian mafia boyfriend Dmitri and turning him in for his crimes awaiting his trial. The last thing Bella expected was becoming a nanny to an orphaned girl in a house full of gorgeous and slightly bossy men.

Levi, an ex- Navy SEAL, recently returned home to his family ranch after losing both of his parents, he and his two brothers have taken over caring for not only the ranch, but also their little sister Allie who’s been left devastated by their recent lose.
The last thing Levi needs right now is some snooty beautiful English woman coming into his life and fighting his every word. But that’s exactly what he gets when asked by an old friend to house Bella and keep her safe.

So under the guise of her being a nanny hired to take care of Allie, Bella, now going by Beccy learns the ins and outs of farm life. Between Dodging two gorgeous brothers whom she started to consider family and one brother who can’t seem to say anything nice to her, but for some reason she can’t get him off her mind, she has her hands full. Bella definitely didn’t know what to expect, especially when she finds herself falling in love with Levi, can Bella and Levi work through their own past traumas and find love and safety within each other’s arms. Or will the past catch up to them…

Terrific book, the dynamic between the brothers makes for a wonderful read, throwing a spicy little through bread in added the perfect amount of flavor to make for a captivating read. I love that this book dives into so tough subjects as we discover some of Levi’s past as a ex navy SEAL while still keeping the story light and enjoyable. Its definitely something I’d like to see more off.
I would LOVE to read books about the other brothers, they are very charming and though we only skim the surface of them as characters in this book, they are hard not to fall in love with.

There’s a lot of growth in Bella during this book as well, I believe that she came from a place of privilege and was thrust into a unknown situation and family dynamic which forced change where there otherwise wouldn’t have been any.

All and all a 4 star read!
