Where should one look for inspiration when there is none to be found? Destiny is an author who writes romances, but she is in a bit of a slump. Enter Niccolo Mancini, an actor/musician who is looking to make a jump across the pond and make it big in America. They have a chance meeting when Detiny’s best friend has a photo shoot and needs her to step in. Will sparks fly or have there been one too many tabloids claiming Mr. Mancini as a playboy? This was a very slow burn, but I found it a likeable story. I stopped reading it here and there to do other things, but it can easily be read in one sitting. I liked the feisty side of Desitny but found myself wishing she had higher self esteem.

Expertly written friends to lovers slow burn. Destiny and Nico were well written, believable, likeable main characters who had me rooting for them. Overall a easy read with everything you want in this trope- humour, steam, tension and romance. My first book from this author and I cant wait to read more.

This book had me sucked in from the beginning and I couldn’t put it down. The slow burn was almost too slow at times but that didn’t stop me from loving it. Destiny and Nicco both have their issues but they help each other in the best ways by being exactly what the other needs. This book was emotional, funny, romantic, steamy and just all of the things. I’m excited and just can’t wait for Candi’s story as I loved her in this as well.

This is the first book that I have read from this author, and I was not disappointed. I fell in love with this book almost immediately and wasn’t able to stop reading this book until i finished it in one sitting. This is Book 1 in the Wounded Hearts Series. While it can be read as a standalone, your experience will be better if you read this book first. I hope you enjoy this soul mates, strong female friendship, wounded, broken. A Mediterranean hero contemporary romance story. He offered her a deal… A deal she shouldn’t have taken. Now that she’s in, how does she get out? Niccolo Mancini is the last person she expected to steam into her life. she’s a struggling romance author. Him, a scorching-hot, Italian, film star who’s just skyrocketed to fame. Their agreement has us spending a lot of time together, much of it under the same roof. As the terms of the deal play out, undeniable attraction ignites. Hearts entangle. What’s a girl to do? You’ll love this tantalizing, push-and-pull relationship because everyone yearns for the tumultuous journey that leads to a happily ever after. Someone Exactly Like Me is a slow burn, friends to lovers, forced proximity romance about an off-limits celebrity and the romance author who unexpectedly steals his heart. I’m excited to see how this author continues this series. I’ll be looking forward in the future for more books to read from this author.

I fell in love with this book and its characters. It was very funny, realistic, and sweet to say the least. Nicco has an incredible story that you never see coming, he wants to love and be open so bad but his past will not allow him until he meets Destiny. She’s an angel to him so selfless and loving and genuine. Destiny has her impression of Nicco but as a ‘fan’ who has seen his ‘work’ well she sees him as inspiration and that is only until a deal is made. Candi, this girl is everything Destiny isn’t and her best friend since they were kids. I love the push and pull with Nicco and Destiny there isn’t ever a dull moment. Also, make sure you read the ENTIRE book including the prologue.

This story is amazing. Nicco and Destiny are not in a rush to do anything together. Their chemistry is off the charts but they have both been badly hurt before and have no desire to experience that again. Can they find love together? Will they over come all of the walls they each have up? After spending weeks getting to know one another, what happens next? WONDERFUL story. Definitely worth the anticipation from chapter to chapter.

I LOVED, LOVED, LOVED this book SO much!! The characters were so enjoyable and relatable—the reader can’t help but fall in love with them, as they were slowly falling in love with each other! TOTAL relationship goals. Magnificent feel good read. Can’t recommend it enough!
Handsome & intriguing, up & coming Italian actor, Niccolo Mancini has quite the reputation as a playboy. Indie romance writer, Destiny Cardone has sworn off men and the notion of ever finding her soul mate. When their paths cross on Destiny’s 30th birthday, the attraction is instant & sparks sizzle all around them! Destiny was aware of Nicco’s reputation and knew there was no way that someone like him would be interested in her. When they engage in a business relationship, a beautiful friendship begins to form and the facades begin to fade, but will it be enough to bridge the lifestyle differences and allow them to have a shot at that happily ever after, true love?

This book had so much to offer I’m not sure I know where to start. This book was definitely a slow burn full of love, heartbreak, friendships and more. While I have only read a couple of books from this author, she is quickly becoming one of my favorites. When I first saw the cover to this book I knew that I wanted to read it right away, the cover had bright colors and was absolutely beautiful, and not to mention I just love a book where the title comes full circle. The characters were well developed, the plot was wonderful, and the overall story was amazing. So if your looking for a great new slow burn make sure you pick this one up today.

I really enjoyed this sweet romance. The author does an amazing job with the characters giving them a depth that makes them relatable and allows the readers to really feel the feelings and emotions they go through. The connection between the characters is instant with Destiny already being a fan of Nicco. Over the course of the story we see how they get closer while fighting Destiny’s insecurities and Nicco’s playboy image. This is a great read that keeps you hooked wondering will they get it together or won’t they.
Nicco is a actor that has every girls heart racing and Destiny is no exception. So when they meet at her friends photo shoot the spark is immediate. Destiny is a romance writer who is struggling to find her story however a little time with Nicco has got her creative juices flowing. So when Nicco comes to her with a proposition, he becomes her muse of her story and she helps him with his career, how could Destiny refuse. As their journey continues their feelings grow but with both of them having been hurt in the past and insecurities are they going to be able to work through it all to make it work? Will Destiny finally get to write her own happy ever after or will they both end up with their hearts broken again?

This was an entertaining and enjoyable contemporary romance, with a friends to lovers theme and a slow burn romance between two soul mates. The main characters are, Destiny a romance author with writers block and Niccolo a sexy Italian film star who has just found fame. Niccolo offers Destiny a deal, one which she probably should not have agreed to, but she did, and now she’s finding that she’s spending a lot of time with Niccolo, alone, under the same roof. Although Destiny is thinking of ways she can get out of the deal, she’s also enjoying spending time with the film star, and heart throb, but given his reputation she’s wary. However, the couple can not deny their instant chemistry, undeniable attraction and growing connection. This was a heartwarming romance between two very likeable and relatable characters who were so well defined I felt as though I knew them. I felt engaged with the couple and wanted them to get their HEA. I was immersed in the storyline which flowed well, and kept me happily turning the pages. It was a great read and gave me a real feel good factor.

I’ve always been a firm believer that everyone crosses our paths for a reason. If it be brief and/or forever. Which leads me to my next two questions: Have you ever made a deal with someone and regretted it the next day? Was alcohol involved? I’ve been there, what about you? Someone Exactly Like Me starts exactly like that. A sweet tiptoe around each other friendship/romance novel. It also makes me wonder if that’s why the author named the female lead Destiny. Soulmates and destiny go hand in hand if you believe in that stuff, so it definitely fits. Niccolo Mancini, an Italian model/singer/actor, has been the star of Destiny’s fantasies since she saw Don Matteo. Never in a million years did she think she would come face to face with him, on her thirtieth birthday no less. Destiny, a romance novelist, has been in a writer’s slump the last few years, that is until Nicco. He’s awakened something in her and she just has to keep going. Nicco can’t keep his eyes off of her, but he knows deep down he’s all wrong for her. He still approaches her anyway. Never expecting this breath of fresh air to call him out on his antics. Which gives him an idea, he offers to be the star of her next novel, if she puts him in touch with her mom for help breaking into the Hollywood celebrity scene. And that is where the story takes off on an adventure of my fantasies. I would like to hope for yours as well. Who wouldn’t want to go on an adventure showing an Italian actor around where you grew up. The growth of these characters during this adventure is beautiful. They are both stubborn and set in their ways. However they also crumbled each other’s barrier walls around their hearts. A well written dynamic for anyone to enjoy.

Destiny is a romance author suffering writer’s block. Nicco is a fantastic romance actor. These two are brought together by Destiny’s childhood friend, Cindy. This was a beautiful romance story because it gave the glimpse of the realistic struggle of the relationship. It was a little slow at the beginning; hence, the slow burn, but the action soon picked up. The characters felt real. You felt their pain, their love for each other. You felt every emotion they went through. This is a book that slowly pulls you in and you find that you just can’t stop. You will want to follow Nicco and Destiny’s story. The plot runs smooth with a twist or two, love it! I can’t tell anymore, you’ll have to read it. It’s so worth it.

This is the second book I have read by this author and I enjoyed every minute of it. I like Debbie’s writing style.
Someone Exactly Like Me is the first book in this series and is a slow burn, friends to lovers’ story. I loved the characters and their dynamics. The relationships between brothers and best friends. The story is heartfelt story and sweet journey. There is angst, heartbreak, love, friendships, insecurities and struggles, passion and anticipation, and sexual tension.
I love Nicco and Destiny their story is both heartbreaking and heat warming. It is emotionally raw at times and the characters are realistic and flawed, A deal is struck between a playboy and author no strings attached. Neither are looking for romance until feelings start evolving.

Slow burn romance with depth This is Niccolo and Destiny’s story. It was a heartfelt read full of self-discovery, romance and a bit of steam. All the characters are well developed and the storyline has a great pace. This is the first book in the series but there is no cliffhanger. I will definitely be checking out more from this author.

Oh my goodness! Have you seen this cover!?!? I knew I was going to love every page and get lost in between these pages and I could be my bottom dollar I was going to invest in these characters so again my family members were left to their own devices …..
So almost right in the beginning something is said that I already know but sometimes as mere mortal reader I forever these things but this was a reminder “ Being an indie author is a lot of work . Between self -editing , self-promoting , self- publishing , being active on social media to build your audience , creating a team of people to support you, writing newsletters , and everything else the do-it-yourself romance author has to do , finding time to write can feel impossible sometimes. And when you do have time , you pray for inspiration and the most wonderful love story to create itself in your brain . “ RESPECT for all indie authors ❣️📕 THANK YOU !
So Destiny is an author with a rather well connected mother but I tell you what this girl is as real as they get she’s beautiful , she’s kind and she’s humble and she deserves every bit of happiness ….
Candi is the best friend of our Destiny and she herself is extremely talented and she has a little surprise up herself for her birthday friend … she calls a favour for photographing except it’s with her man candy actor 🔥Nicco
Nicco just has a way of humanising famous people and I think people often forget they’re people and not the characters they portray and I just fell i love with this man ….
Nicco and Destiny just flow and when he uses her as a “ tour guide” they both realise there’s more between them they’re both wanting to admit
I loved watching Nicco and Destiny unfold from friends to more , yes they had a few hurdles as with any love story but at the end of the day love will always prevail ❣️
I just loved this book and it’s on my top 20 for the year !!! I’ll shout about this one on every street corner ❣️📕

This was simply one of the best romance stories I have read in my entire life! The story was sweet, but very realistic, and a good build up. The story brought on emotions, ones that my heart held dear as well. The characters really brought the story to life! I was hooked and getting to the end, was bitter sweet.
Loved the writing that the author possessed and how they made the story come to life. Feelings and all! The author really put forth obstacles any couple may face, especially in this case with a celebrity’s story. The characters had that undeniable attraction and chemistry, but also needed to find the ground they stand on that would have room for them both. Destiny and Nicco were great. Undeniably great. I loved their scenes together and as they grew as characters, and they grew into the strong bond in which they held and were. Amazing and wonderful read! Loved it so very much! Could not put it down! So good!
I loved this story, and reading it was a delicate and happy read at the same time. I could not get enough of this book or put it down. I constantly wanted more. I got so much out of this wonderful author’s story. I can’t wait to read more by them Highly recommend this must read book! Do not pass it up! Seriously!

He’s a hot Italian celebrity who wants the American dream. She’s a romance author whose career is in a slump. They strike a business deal to help each other get what they want. When sparks fly, neither may get what they bargained for and both may end up with broken hearts.
Destiny
My life is vanilla.
Devoid of excitement. Lacking in passion.
What kind of romance author doesn’t even know what passion feels like?
My career is plummeting.
I’m desperate.
Most people aren’t even aware of my existence.
He sees me.
He’s everything I thought I could never have; passionate, adventurous, intellectually fulfilling.
He’s also famous, making him untouchable to a nobody like me.
He offers me a deal to save my career.
As the deal plays out, flames ignite that can’t be doused.
Will I pay the price of a broken heart to get my career back on track?
Nicco
My life is on display for the world to judge.
I show them what I want and nothing more.
She sees me.
She sees beyond what I show.
She’s everything I’ve always wanted; kind, loving, and pure of heart.
Debbie Cromack is a contemporary romance author who writes romantic, emotionally raw love stories with a lot of heart and a hint of steam. Her characters are realistic, flawed, and people you’d want to get to know. She’s been called the master of the SLOW BURN.
After spending 25+ years in corporate America, being the CEO of an event decorating company, and then an online business coach, she tried her hand at writing romance novels, publishing her debut novel at the age of 50, and has been writing ever since.
Fun facts: 1) She lived in Taiwan for ten years, 2) Her undergraduate degree is in psychology/sociology/anthropology with a minor in corporate communications and her MBA is in marketing…NONE of which help her in her author career, and 3) You’ll almost never hear her say the word, “hate” or the phrase, “It’s hard.”
When life has you down or feeling frantic, she challenges you to ask yourself, “Is this serving me?” And if the answer is, “No,” do your best to set it free and let it go.
She’s an Amazon international bestselling author and has been featured in Forbes.
The Personal Side of Debbie:
She has a bunny named Nutmeg, who’s quite the little snuggler. She also has two Nigerian dwarf goats, Patches and Tiny Tim, and many chickens.
She does her best to eat healthy and organic however, she does have a wicked sweet-tooth for chocolate and tries to only indulge on special occasions. Her biggest indulgence…hot cocoa!!
