The Twins (The Twins #1) by R.G. Miller – Review by Erica Fish
The Twins by R.G. Miller
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
This book is about twins, Stacey and Jannifer McHill that were part of a hideous rape. It is a story that is told through the eyes of Detective Isis Williams. She was assigned a case that had a horrible outcome due to rage. Detective Williams really found herself while working on this case. It is a book that has a couple of curve balls that you see but when it happens you still cannot believe it. Detective Williams was a hot headed woman. She is a lost soul. She really finds what really matters to her throughout this investigation. There is not a “quote” per say, but when she is feeling herself getting angry she starts throwing punches in the air to gain her composure. There are some males important to the story, but I felt Detective Annette Toni was an important character. When she calls Williams “babe” it was an important part to see the growth that Williams was going through.
R.G. Miller is an excellent story teller. He likes to throw little curve balls in the story. The fact that this was a thriller kept me on my toes. Although there were times there was a break away to the other story line and it made me reread a part because I thought I was lost. I love how he tells exactly what happens to the twins right before the last hurrah of the story. I would definitely recommend this story. It was a good read. I cannot wait for book 2.
