Hopelessly Devoted (Bayou Devils MC Book 1) by A.M. Myers

I just love MC books, but this one will definitely go up with my favorites. I loved the story flow and the twists and turns. This author made me fall in love with everyone in this book and I can’t wait for this story to continue.

Alison is a crime reporter at the Baton Rouge Times and has worked her butt off for 5 years to build a strong reputation, but it’s just the start. She has a yearning to be a columnist and is working to fill the empty position within the paper. Problem is so is someone else, who hasn’t even been there for a year, but has been sleeping with the boss for the last 6 months. He offers a challenge to the two and whoever writes the best story after signing up for an online dating service and going on three dates will be awarded the position. She goes on these 3 less than perfect dates and writes her article with her honest feelings, knowing down deep it won’t be enough to get her the columnist position. Alison has 2 amazing best friends and a supportive family, no man in her life as she has decided not to date after her last relationship shattered her hopes and dreams.

Storm is VP of the Bayou Devils MC. He is haunted by his past every single day of his life, this past keeps him from ever getting close to another woman, the pain is too deep and it drags him down and keeps him in darkness, all of this he feels he deserves.

Storm’s Labrador puppy leads him to the front steps of his neighbor, Alison, causing a slight accident that leads to Storm administering first aid. She has sparked something in him that he hasn’t felt for years and he isn’t sure how to handle it. Problem is his past is coming back and means to cause harm. He is convinced that everything in his past will tear them apart and put her in danger. Can he walk away and save her, or will he allow his own selfishness to put her right in the middle of his past?

This had me hooked from page 1, it’s not one of those books where you figure it out early and just wait for it to play out, no, this one just kept building and I was totally off at what I thought was going on. This was written perfectly and I can’t say enough about how much I loved this book. I want more!!!! LOL
