Unsteady by Elizabeth York – Review by Angela Hayes

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Unsteady by Elizabeth York is a wonderful second chances/contemporary romance. It is well written, with depth to the storyline, and lots of emotion. I could feel and ‘see’ the heart and soul that Ms. York has infused into this story, which made the experience all the more memorable. The characters are complex, but beautifully developed ‘people’ who took me on a journey that I didn’t want to leave. There were times that they frustrated me, and I really wanted to shake some sense into them in those moments- but that’s only because I had emotionally connected to them and their story.
London and Logan have a history, with shared experiences and memories, but they also contain painful reminders of broken hearts. What happens when lies and trust issues get in the way of finding happiness? How could they have gone from being so close, to years later having lived apart for so long. What happened to break them apart? What happens when they meet again after all that time? Can they overcome the secrets and lies? What does the future hold for them?
Trying to condense this story into a short and concise review really can’t convey how great this story really is. If you love second chances, romance, emotion, endearing characters, and a story that will tear your heart out and then stitch it back together again- then this is definitely the book for you.
I wonder what Ms. York has in store for us next?

Thank you, Ms. York!
