The Sound of Love (The Sound Series Book 1) by Maria Watts – Review by Maura Harper
The Sound of Love by Maria Watts
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
Pros:
Author wrote a very well thought out story.
Characters are defined and you know the role they take in the story.
Realism in the writing. Characters are age appropriate in their insecurities and moodiness.
Author wrote in great detail so there was no wondering what was going on in a scene.
Cons:
Realism in the writing. Characters are age appropriate in their insecurities and moodiness.
Author wrote in great detail so there was no wondering what was going on in a scene. A three week span took 400+ pages.
While this is book 1 in the series, it’s been a few years and book 2 doesn’t appear to be written.
Every rock star cliche is in this story. If my younger cousins were looking for a story in the rock star genre, I would add this book to the list.
