Hope's Decree (The Fated #1)Hope’s Decree by Angela McPherson
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I give Hope’s Decree (The Fated Book 1) by Angela McPherson, 4 stars.

Trinity is a senior in high school. She just wants to be a normal girl who graduates soon, and then go to college. Sure, she can feel other people’s feelings, but she hides that as best she can. She just concentrates on schoolwork, her job, and her friends. She basically has no interest in boys. Until Blain. He moved in down the street from her, plus enrolled in her school. There is something that pulls her to him. But she quickly learns that there is more to her than just her small ability. She just may be a decent of Pandora, and she has been told only she can stop the evil that threatens to overtake the humans. Can she believe any of this? And what about this feeling towards Blain? Is he even interested?

This is a young adult paranormal romance. I have to say that the overall story is something I have read before. Saying that, the characters have to be good in order to keep me interested. I really enjoyed them. Trinity is a good character, she learns as she goes. Her friends and parents are also great – I would love to see more of them in the future. The story itself is good and I quickly finished the book.

I would say this book is definitely written to the young adult age group, but as someone who is much older, I enjoyed it too and am looking forward to reading the next book.
