A Cold Dark Place (Cold Justice Book 1) by Toni Anderson – Review by Lisa Brydalski

A Cold Dark Place (Cold Justice, #1)A Cold Dark Place by Toni Anderson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

A Cold Dark Place is the first book in the Cold Justice series by author Toni Anderson. Mallory Rooney is a newbie Special Agent with the FBI and the twin sister to a kidnapping victim missing since they were nine years old. Mallory has made it her mission to find out what happened to her sister eighteen years ago and she won’t stop until she finds out who took Payton and why. Along the way Mallory finds herself searching for a vigilante who has been murdering suspected kidnappers and pedophiles before the FBI can uphold justice. The search leads to Mallory realizing that maybe there is more going on behind the scenes than she ever expected. Now Mallory must find out what is going on, who is behind the vigilante and when will her sister’s abductor strike again?
Wow! I can’t believe I have never read this author! I am a huge fan of romantic suspense and psychological thrillers and Ms. Anderson certainly gave me an excellent one! From the first page this book had my attention, the author did a great job peaking my interest and holding my attention. This story had me on the edge of my seat and I couldn’t wait to see what would happen next. At one point I thought I had the killer figured out, but no, the author pulled a quick one. There were several twists and turns within the story I couldn’t tell what was going to happen next, truly a mark of a good author and I look forward to ready the rest of this series.
