A Cold Dark Place is the first book in the Cold Justice series by Toni Anderson, and WOW, what an intense and intriguing read this has been!! I loved it! The story is a romantic suspense- with mystery, a serial killer (or two), danger, shocks, twists, emotion, heart-stopping action, gruesome and chilling details…. and so much more. I was completely riveted by this compelling story and couldn’t put it down, devouring it in one sitting. This may have been my first read by Ms. Anderson, but I can guarantee that it won’t be my last!
Mallory Rooney is an FBI agent with a passion for justice, who’s on the hunt for a serial killer. But her investigation brings up some perplexing questions that seem to point to a vigilante on the loose. She’s determined to find him and bring him to justice. Mallory has a bit of a dark secret that weighs on her soul- her twin sister, Payton, was kidnapped when they were nine years old. And now 18 years later, she is obsessed with finding the kidnapper and discovering what happened to her sister.
Alex Parker is haunted by his past, a man lost to the demons that drive him, a lone wolf with a tonne of baggage. He’s a covert operative working for a shadow organisation called The Gateway Project, as an assassin. He is tasked with hunting down serial killers and putting a stop to them, permanently. His latest case brings him into Mallory’s life, and bringing more complications than he could ever have imagined. As he gets to know her, he can’t help feeling protective of her, and wanting to help her. Especially when a serial killer seems to have her firmly in his sights. But would an FBI agent and an assassin ever really have a chance of finding happiness together? This is well worth the read to find out!!!
Brilliant!

Thank you, Ms. Anderson!
