This paranormal mystery – what an unexpected triumph! Broadwell does a beautiful job weaving this tale and sharing it with the reader. It is a worthwhile read, detailed and realistic. I was immediately pulled into pages and submerged myself in every scene. I loved this book and am finding myself becoming quite a big fan of Broadwell. Definitely recommended!

I feel like all of my reviews on Jane Suen’s writing are always the same. Jane Suen is a captivating storyteller with a voice that is soft and almost poetic to me. There has never been a piece of writing that I’ve read by this author and didn’t love, despite them all being so different. Until reading Coming Home, I thought Flowers in December was my favorite. This book exceeded all of my expectations! I loved being reunited with characters from the first book and seeing where life has taken Connor and Tom! If The Shoe Fits, book three in the Liberty Lawrence Series by Bea Stevens. Another great story with Libby getting pulled into another mystery. But will this be the one time they can’t figure it out…. With help from her best friend and boyfriend can Libby figure out what’s going on before its too late.. Libby is her normal funny, fashionista self with a new dream job, too bad she’s not sure what to make of her boss who, at first, seems to be horrible. This story like the others in the series will pull you in right away with the well written characters and story line.

Seraphina’s Vengeance Book 3 in the Seraphina series by Sheena Hutchinson

We all have two sides to ourselves. But Seraphina truly does. The good and the bad are fighting inside her and it’s crazy when a side actually wins. I was a little disappointed over how things went down at the end but it was still good. Nate and Seraphina have communication issues and it is the reason the evil could possibly win. The author gave you a lot to think about. How we have to live with the consequences of our choices. Sera had her moments that I wanted to reach in the book and slap her. A Cold Dark Place was a thrilling 5 star read and book one in the Cold Justice series. I was pulled in right from the beginning.
The FBI had once estimated there were approximately two-hundred and fifty serial killers active in the US at any one time. Alex’s job was whittling that number down.
Mallory is an FBI agent who is working hard to put serial killers away. She is also searching for the one responsible for taking her sister from her 18 years ago. Alex is an assassin who is working towards freedom by hunting serial killers, he is counting down the days.
When Mallory discovers a serial killer dead at a crime scene she suspects there is someone else they should be looking for. This is where Alex comes in, he decides to watch her and make sure she doesn’t discover who he is. This is where things take an interesting twist and get even better.
There is so much more to this great mystery and suspenseful read. There are secrets revealed and you continue to be on the edge of your seat until your done. I was very happy with how everything came together in the end. I’m looking forward to reading the next book in the series.

Broken Sand Dollar was an amazing addition to the Sand Dollar series. The storyline continues to follow Alex as he faces his problems head on. I was surprised and excited for the return of Penny and this novel. Alex was faced with handling all three of the women who played key roles in the development of his character. Not once was I bored with this novel and I found it difficult to put down. Such a wonderful read and I truly loved seeing the change that occurred with each character.

The Devil’s Shadow by T. Birmingham is the fourth book in the Wild Beasts series. This can be read as a standalone but I recommend reading the earlier books first. There were characters from earlier books and storylines that were mentioned. I started on this book but really enjoyed this book and will be going back to catch the earlier stories. This book focuses on Kieran who goes with what life brings him. Ginny is broken and she is afraid that she will hurt and wreck Kieran. I really enjoyed the book and the supernatural setting. This was well written and flowed well making this a fun, enjoyable read. The setting is detailed and the characters are interesting. The story was interesting and had lots of different aspects. I look forward to catching the earlier books and reading further into the series.

Dig Two Graves is the first book in the Gripping Crime Thriller (aka Solomon Gray) series by Keith Nixon. It was my first book I have read of his, but he won me over as a fan. I love crime thrillers and this book fit that without being too gruesome. It kept me engaged start to finish and I didn’t want to put it down. I didn’t expect things go the way they did, and the murderers were a shock. The last pages left me hooked for book 2. Solomon Gray has to have the saddest history of any book character I’ve read, but he still has that drive and desire to solve his son’s disappearance. He isn’t the strongest of characters for a main character, but the story itself was enough to keep me hooked and wanting to keep going. I will continue reading, because I want to know what happened to Sol’s son 10 years ago. Although, I’m left wondering about the title, since there were more than 2 murders in the story.

Braedyn is making his way through school, youth and his own sexuality. This is his story and how he fits in his broken family. Mom is addicted to pills. Dad is extremely enabling. Along with helping his siblings find themselves. His life has gone in so many different directions and now let’s add Jeff.
Deidre Huesmann has done it again in book 2. Her characters are amazing and fit this story so well. I love that she asks and answers so many questions in her story. I think this is a beautifully written story. So good I will recommend it to all of my friends and their young adults. Please take the time to read her series. I just love it. I’m looking forward to the next book in the series.

I think this is the first story I’ve read by this author and I enjoyed the writing style. This is a romantic thriller with open door sex scenes.
The story moves at a quick pace and not everything is obviously spelled out. The story is multi layered and had a very obvious beginning, middle and end.
For some reason, the last few books I’ve chosen have been mystery/suspense/thriller and this is one of my favorites among them.
I look forward to reading the future books on this series to see what other mischief these two can get into.

Dig Two Graves is the opening chapter of Keith Nixon’s Detective Solomon Gray series. It is an opening that will haunt you for days and makes you to reach for the next story in the series. I love series where there is one red line that runs through all the books while each book has its own ‘story’ as well! Add to this the location – once grand town of Margate in the south of England – and you are gone … gone for Detective Solomon Gray and his personal story! Dig Two Graves introduces us to Detective Gray and gives us his story, the disappearance of his six year old son, his never-ending search and his daily work as a Detective … this story revolves around a world of abuse, corruption, lies … it is the world where you do not know who is telling the truth and who is lying… there seems to be no end to depravity of the man … It is a dark ride that the writer is taking us, be prepared to suffer and rage with Solomon … you will feel broken and lost and you will give up and you are so wary that you no longer want to continue on the road to redemption … there is no end in sight … It is the best of the contemporary British crime stories and I can only hope that someone would pick up the series and create something that is in the same league with Broadchurch … (what is there in the south of England that brings out the worst in the man?). I cannot wait to continue walking alongside Detective Gray!

BROKEN SAND DOLLAR is the final story in a trilogy and it’s important to read these books in order.
As with the other two books in the series, this is an extremely detailed story. It’s one of these stories that brings everything full circle and while I wasn’t sure what to expect – it all makes sense in the end.
Once again, the story is told from the male POV (side note: the prologue is a scene that features the cover of book 2 which I thought was super cool) and at times is a travel journal as we ride up the coast.
This whole series has been written with morals and values and is very clean.

DIG TWO GRAVES is a suspense/thriller which isn’t necessarily my go to trope but I was in need of a change so I picked it up.
The first story I’ve read by the author, this is a very detailed story about a very unlikable guy. It’s strange because I’ve read other series similar to this and have always found redeeming qualities in the characters. The MC never warmed up for me.
This is a dark story that has twists and turns along the way and it definitely keeps the reader on its toes. There are several elements of the story that tapped into my base fears (losing child in a crowd, for instance) and made me feel a little “itchy” at times.
While I didn’t care for Sol, I did enjoy the story and found that it is a good set up for stories to come.

Wow what a story! This is my first story by Shreffler and I don’t know what took me so long to read her. Claimed Royalty is set in a futuristic world where a princess is becoming a queen. A world where she must prove her strength and intelligence. A world where she must choose a king to rule with her.
This story was so good from the very first chapter. We are introduced to Fiora. She is the princess on the verge of change. I love Fiora’s fierceness. Her devotion and her all around greatness. And then there’s Matheas. Oh man is this one yummy character. He is the total package, except he is not of a Royal House. Which simply means he can not be King, right?
This story is full of surprises. I recommend this to those readers over 18 because there are some sexy scenes. Some very sexy scenes.
The Slip Series Collection by Gwyn McNamee Five Stars
This complete series by Gwyn McNamee is a fun and sexy read.
Dickslip is a short Rom/ Com by Gwyn McNamee. This is book is truly hilarious. I laughed from beginning to end. I just couldn’t put this book down. Rafe’s unfortunate incident on national tv brought instant embarrassment and trouble to his career as a host to a children’s show. Andy is the strong willed women, she is the CEO of the television station who has to deal with Rafe’s mess. My true recommendation of a book comes with how it make my emotions come out, whether it be laughing or crying, and this book really gave me good feels.
Nipslip: A Scandalous Slip Story is the second book in the Slip Series by Gwyn McNamee. This story can be read as a stand alone, but I can’t think of one reason why you wouldn’t want to read this story in order. This story was full of feels. I laughed out loud at times and I wanted to throw my reader across the room at times. This short fast paced read had a big message and I think the author did a great job. Riley and Tate have some smokin Hot Chemistry. I really enjoyed the witty dialog between the two. This is a perfect romantic comedy, with just the right amount of sass.
Beaver Blunder is the third book in the Slip Series. Each book in this series can be read as a stand alone, but it is wonderful that Ms McNamee has brought them all together in this collection. This is Madeline and Owen’s story. This fast read had me laughing out loud. It is just a feel good romance that flowed from beginning to end. This rounded out the series in a wonderful fun way. I can’t wait to see what Ms. McNamee has in store for us next.
Coming Home, by Jane Suen, is the second book in the Flowers in December series. This book continues Connor’s story as he moves beyond the death of his mother. The author has done a remarkable job of including so much emotional attributes within this short story, similar to the rawness that was experienced in the first book, yet at the same time it felt more defined. The holiday dynamic adding more depth to this novella along with the hope of what many hope to accomplish over the holidays – forgiveness, renewal and the hope of something more. Jane Suen is a talented author and her talent continues to grow with each additional book that is written.

I love friends to lovers books, but I love it even more when one is so deeply invested in the outcome of their forever. Karlie Kyle loves Luke McKade, has for years. Luke is gob smacked at how just not so little Karlie is any more. The Chosen (The Orb Quest Series, #1) by Cari Schaeffer was a fast pace, hooking read, that had me so engrossed I nearly stayed up more then half the night to finish!
This book opens on a high explosive note that gets your heart pumping and raises your anxiety. That did it for me, in minutes I was hooked and couldn’t stop reading. Strong, engaging, and complex, this book will keep you on your toes, and flipping the pages. Being a past reader of Caria Schaeffer, this book lives up to the others and for me, maybe even better.
This book has a solid multi-layered plot, and a strong message of the bonds of friendship. This book is perfect for all ages, it has enough action, and darkness to satisfy older readers. Full of magic, and otherworldliness, there is never a dull moment. All of this is paired with an equally solid and engaging MC, Gemma. Strong, loyal and determined, I love her as the MC and I found her a great role model.
Overall this book is worth your time and energy. So please take my super high recommendation and my stamp of approval, that this book will take you on a dangerous, deadly adventure that will leave your head spinning for more.

This romance thriller is intense, captivating, twisted, detailed, sick, unexpected and beyond entertaining. Toni managed to bring me on a roller coaster ride of emotions as I tried to solve the mystery, and at no point had I seen the ending coming!
I can’t wait to read more from this author and would absolutely recommend this book to anyone looking for their next romance thriller!

If The Shoe Fits by Bea Stevens is the third book in the Liberty Lawrence series. This book can be read as a stand-alone although you will miss a fair amount of character build up from the previous two books. It is always fun to read about Libby and the situations she finds herself in. It is entertainment reading her stories. The author has done a great job at keeping her interesting throughout. The book flows really well, keeping the storyline going and never resting back on the previous two books at all. This is an overall enjoyable series.
Tales of the Dragonfly Novel book III Extended Flight By Tamara Ferguson 4 Stars!!!!
I once again have read a series out of order but I wasn’t lost or out of sorts. I found that this book really held my attention and left me wanting more. I found that the author was able to weave intrigue and drama through the whole book with a nice sprinkling of romance.
I really found myself going through all the emotions with Aaron and Kiley as they both not only help one another through the intrigue that brings them together but also through the drama. I really found the author was able to intertwine the two stories quite well and roll out the drama. I couldn’t put this book down and I really do look forward to reading more from this author and starting this series from the beginning and fill in the gaps.

Happily. Ever After? is the sixth book in Gaia B Amman’s Italian Saga. Leda, the independent and adventurous heroine we’ve watched growing up over the past five books, is now in her early twenties. She’s had her heart broken and broken hearts. She’s struggled with mental illness. And coming through it all, she’s now focused on her course and her hobbies. But she can’t ignore her feelings for Sergio, and his demands on her attention. Leda is great! The books are written from her perspective and Amman does a great job of getting inside her head. She is both mature and naïve, the paradox of young adulthood, and this comes across in her interpretation of situations. She’s clever, and I found myself learning a thing or two about biomedical sciences (Amman’s background really comes through here – I enjoyed the level of detail!). I like the varied LGBT+ representation, particularly with bisexual and polyamorous characters. There’s generally a great cast of characters, building up throughout the books, and it’s good to have some diversity there! The pace sometimes felt a bit odd – chunks of time would fly past and yet we get incredible amounts of detail about things which aren’t necessarily central to the plot – but it sort of feels like we’re focusing on the things that are important to Leda. We have to appreciate what her priorities and occupations are! This is a five star book. A great insight into Italian life (as a teacher, I particularly enjoyed learning about the education system…) and wonderful to see Leda maturing. If you like coming of age stories spread out over a number of years, such as the Adrian Mole books, you’ll enjoy this series!

Ever After?: An Italian Relationship is set in the scenic Milan, with Leda falling hopelessly in love with Sergio, a stoner that flits in and out of Leda’s life, without explanation. Leda and Sergio’s relationship is a heart-warming, realistic love story, that was incredibly relatable and genuine. Both characters are incredibly complex and life like, that will have you falling in love with them despite their flaws. I really enjoyed the sixth book in the series, and found it to be a wonderful edition to Leda’s life story. Gaia B. Amman’s writing gets better every book, and her characters get more and more complex. I highly recommend the series, and gave this book 5/5 stars!

I was really looking forward to reading Lost in Love. I really enjoyed the first book in the series so was hoping this one would be just as enjoyable and I wasn’t disappointed! I love this author’s writing style, her books are so easy to read and her characters feel real to life. I always find that I am hooked into her stories straight away and they never fail to always entertain me. I really like Ella, she is a funny character who I have loved reading about. This was a really fun read that I thoroughly enjoyed! I would absolutely recommend Lost in Love to anyone looking for a fun, light hearted read and especially if you have read the first book in the series! I can’t wait to read more from this author again in the future.

The Devil’s Shadow is an all encompassing paranormal novel and it is the fourth book in the Wild beasts Series. It is not your typical paranormal story though and you know the book is going to be deep when there is a glossary in the front but I was very grateful for it. Though this book has a language all its own, the story is gripping and it will have you turning the pages faster and faster to see if this strange cast of characters can solve the mystery surrounding them. I think this book has a little bit of everything in it and I liked that it wasn’t typical to any genre. It was a great blend of everything I like to read and I can’t wait to see what this group gets up to next.

The story The Woman America Loves a Latte by Holly Tierney-Bedord is a book that I enjoyed reading. It is a story in which some parts put a smile on my face and others that had my mouth hanging open. It is a book that hooked me from the beginning, and I found myself not wanting to put it down until I had finished the last page. There is a colorful cast of characters included that are entertaining and interesting. There are some characters that I found myself questioning their motives and actions. Veloura is a young woman that after finding out about her fiancé not having her best interests at heart, looks to find a new path for herself. She finds herself with the opportunity to be the spokeswoman for a coffee chain. Will she have a bright future? Read all about the new path she is trying to create for herself and what happens to her next. Veloura is a character that I enjoyed reading about. There are times when I wondered what she was thinking and others when I wanted to give her a hug of support. She comes across as someone with a good heart. She also has quite a dark past. There are events that happen that I didn’t see coming. Don’t miss out on a story that once started is addictive to read and will have you glued to the pages. I highly recommend reading it.

The story The Protector: MAC: (Cover Six Security) by Lisa B. Kamps is a wonderful book that I loved reading. It is a story that includes suspense, mystery, and romance. It is a book that starts off strong and doesn’t let you go until you have read the final page. I found myself lost in the emotions and danger included in the story. I loved reading about the characters of Gordon “Mac” MacGregor and Tabitha “TR” Meyers. Mac is a man that knows about danger. He was in the military and understands how easy it is for a life to be taken or lost. He also is finding it hard to not think about Tabitha. TR is a woman who is strong, independent, beautiful, and stubborn. She had enlisted Mac’s assistance and now finds that danger is not only to her life, but her heart could also be in peril as well. These two have an undeniable attraction to each other. He is turning into a distraction. With dangerous scandals and coverups happening he is determined that he will protect her and keep her safe. Will he find out how and why TR’s life is in danger? Can he keep her safe? Will the feelings/emotions that these two have for each other be revealed? What does the future hold for TR and Mac? Read this book to find out. This story had me turning pages at times wondering what was going to happen next. I was constantly trying to put together the answers to questions and the mystery that the book presents. There is also romantic and steamy dialogue. The romance will make you swoon. The temperature in the room definitely rises when reading some scenes. Don’t miss out on a story that will keep your eyes glued to the pages until you have read the last one. This is a book that I highly recommend.

The story The Chosen: Book One: The Orb Quest Series by Cari Schaeffer is a wonderful book that I enjoyed reading. It takes you into a world of fantasy/magic and includes characters that have a bond of friendship. It is a story that grabbed my interest from the beginning and didn’t let go until I had finished it. I loved reading about Gemma and her friends. They find out they are marked as The Chosen. They must learn about the truth that has not been taught. They are to find the lost Orbs in order to fulfill their destiny. They also know there are powerful enemies that are against them. Read this book to find out what happens to Gemma and her friends. I enjoyed reading about the background history that is written about. You can feel the strong bonds that Gemma and her friends have. This story does an amazing job in laying down the groundwork for the series. It is exciting and fun to read. It is a book that I would highly recommend reading and I look forward to the next story in the series.
