My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The Immigrant: An Italian in America by Gaia B. Amman is the seventh book in the Italian Saga, book 1 in the new spin off series. This is a series that follows the same character throughout her life. While I would recommend reading this series in order so you get the full character development it isn’t required – I haven’t read them in order and have enjoyed the ones I’ve read so far.
This book was a great addition. Leda is a fascinating character to get to know, especially in this book with the complete change of scenery. The author wrote the story perfectly. It really felt like you were there with Leda for her whole journey. You got to experience everything as she did.
I am looking forward to see what else this new chapter has to offer.
