The Brass Compass: A Novel by Ellen Butler – Review by Bobbi Wagner

The Brass CompassThe Brass Compass by Ellen Butler
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I enjoyed this historical story that takes place in 1938. It is a well written story that has creative details that made me feel as if I was right there in the Black Forest. The story is full of emotion, pain, anger, sadness, betrayal that bring the story to life. Lily is a great character who is intelligent, smart and finds her position compromised and now she must escape. She took me on a journey that left me on the edge of my seat and turning pages just waiting to see what will happen next.
