Siren’s Call: Cursed Seas by Amy McKinley. This is the story of Nerissa a young girl who lives with her father in a small fishing village. This village has always been protected by the gods but that is about to end. The fishermen have quit catching fish, the trees have quit bearing fruit and the winds are whispering of big change. Nerissa is about to be given away by her father for marriage but she decides she wants some say in the matter so when Zeer a visiting fisherman meets her and sweeps her off her feet she is smitten. Is Zeer the answer to her problems? Nothing is as simple as it seems and Nerissa is about to find out who she really is and that everyone around her has not been truthful. This is a rollercoaster story that has twist and turns you never expect. I loved it and can’t wait for the next!
