Forbidden Love; Written by Lisa Jones Gentry, As Told by Joe Steele. This is a true story and its a very emotional love story. Its the story of Father William Grau, a black Catholic Priest and Sister Sopie Legocki, a white nun who defied the church in the 50’s and had a passionate love affair that lasted a decade and produced a son Joe Steele. Joe learns from his birth mother all about their relationship and all the secrets they shared. Joe was eventually put up for adoption by his birth mother and was raised in Cincinnati by the Steele Family where life was amazing. For anyone that has been touched by adoption this story is for you. Its full of heart wrenching decisions and live made whole by adoption. Joe Steele ended up graduating from Harvard Business School so he was a very successful adoption story. This book will have your emotions all tied up but its a beautiful story.
