The Crown of Stones: Magic-Scars is the second book in “The Crown of Stones” trilogy and I highly recommend reading this series in order.
As with Magic-Price, this tale is told in the first person narrative and is full of action. I’m so grateful that I am reading these stories after the entire trilogy has been published. I can’t imagine having to wait for the next to be released.
The story is almost told from a moralistic point of view. Decisions that are made ALWAYS have consequences. When a faction suppresses natural “order” sometimes the price that must be paid is higher than the results initially gained. Manipulation of societies is NEVER a good idea and perhaps folks in today’s socio-economical environment could learn a thing or two from reading this fictional account of good vs evil. – I digress…
As an arch from book 1 to book 3 the story flows forward and the protagonist has some growth that was good to see. This is a fast paced adventurous tale that I did skim a little bit. There were times when things felt a little repetitive, but that is to be expected I think.

I really enjoyed this book. An adventure through time, some historical romance, and a bit of book nerd, this reminded me of ‘Outlander’. This is definitely a page-turner, and I loved the plot and characters. Although the beginning was a little narrative-heavy, the story picks up and I really enjoyed the dialogue and the writing style hooked me in. This is a well-written book with lots of heart and warmth. I can’t wait for the next book.

Cy and Jolie are finally getting married. Cy has invited his parents to the wedding which takes place in Spicetopia. What could go wrong? Pretty much everything when the Sweets are involved, starting with the minister arriving a week early. Jolie is already stressed to the max so she enlists her event coordinator to take care of Micah. After meeting him, Natalie wants to take care of him in more ways than one. How is she supposed to entertain a minister in an amusement park specialized in sexual fantasies and fetishes?
I found this book to be quite entertaining and amusing. It’s another wonderful addition to this series. Just when you thought you read it all, Ms. Alexander comes out with another book to top the others. The story takes place at Christmas so this was the perfect time of the year to read it. Loved it!

Amy grew up around the Satan’s Devils MC and has been away from them for many years now. Christmas seems to be the only time Amy will visit but this year she is dreading the return. She is afraid of what people may or may not pick up on, as well as what they might think of the company she is bringing. But she knows she has to do this, because not showing up would be far worse in their protective eyes. As the story evolves you see Amy’s true colors start to shine through as she starts to gain back the confidence she tragically lost.
I thought this book would end up being just another MC book, but I was kept on my toes as the story went through some crazy plot twists and turns. The common theme of family and brotherhood was definitely present through this whole story which was heartwarming to read. However, readers should take heed to the author’s note about the story being dark in places and may contain triggers. While this could be a testament to the author’s descriptive abilities, there was one chapter that I found difficult to stomach while reading.

Naughty & Nice by Phoebe Alexander is the 4th book in the Spicetopia series. I will rave and rave forever about all of the books in this series but this one takes the cake!!! I loved every book in this series but this one with the perfect characters and the perfect story opened my own eyes to so many things! The story of Natalie and Micah is just pure perfection. Micah is a minister of sorts who has been asked to marry Cy and Jolie at the Spicetopia theme park for adults. Ya’ll who would have thought to bring a sweet and innocent hunk of a minister into a giant adult park… Phoebe Alexander… THAT’S WHO! And boyyy is he out of his element here at the park. Thank goodness he has a sweet vixen, Natalie, to show him around the park and keep him as inside of his comfort circle as she can. Because she is the parks event planner she is balancing between helping Micah adjust to what goes on in the park and planning the wedding. Natalie soon challenges Micah to have an open mind with the things going on inside the park and as the two get to know more of one another, and the beliefs of both come out, there may be no turning back the realizations that are happening to the both of them. This book was flawless… I am sad that I finished it so quickly but I just couldn’t put it down.

I have not read any of the other novels by Shannon Nemechek, but I will say she outdid herself with “The Traveler: Chimera Rebellion”! It was an awesome read. It was very easy to fall into the story, and to be transported back in time to the Civil War, just as Katie was. You fall in love as she falls in love, and it will spellbind you as the magic is released. It based on historical fact, but as it as meant for entertainment purposes only, it was one of the best contemporary historical fiction novels I’ve ever read! I can’t wait to read the rest of the series!

This is almost bittersweet to read. I enjoy the new guys at the helm and the whole second gen thing. Equally I am sad reading about how old and decrepit the original guys are. I am thinking they are only 50-60ish (I know they lived hard) but hearing about their creaky/sore bums, backs and legs from riding a couple hours? They just don’t seem that old. Especially since Drew is almost 40. I struggled wrapping my head around this. I did enjoy how relaxed the original guys were. Joking and laughing around and causing trouble for the new Prez.
Amy’s story is something I didn’t expect. She was so sweet and nurturing while growing up. Hence becoming a nurse but she has a darker side that is just different. Tragedy happens then she needs to return to the compound for Christmas festivities and face Drew and the family.
Wizard formerly Drew was Amy’s best friend growing up. Once a crush was developed Wiz had to put a stop to it since he is ten yrs older. That stop changed everything between them.
I did love seeing the clubhouse at Christmas time. Everyone being there. All the joking and back slapping. Seemed like old times. This is a fun enjoyable story with a touch of dark and danger.

5 Star Hidden Obsession (An Alliance Agency Novel Book 2) by Maddie Wade & India Kells is a romantic suspense that had me on the edge of my seat trying to figure out what happens next. I literally couldn’t put it down I had to know what was going to happen next. I highly recommend ireading the Prequel and the first book in this series to get a better enjoyment of the Alliance Agency and everyone that is involved. This story is full of action, suspense, and even romance. Cleo and Mason, She is the office manager at Alliance Agency and very good at what she does and is very attracted to Mason. He’s a former secret service agent who now works for Alliance Agency. He also is attracted to Cleo.What happens when a stalker sets their sites on Cleo? Can Mason keep her safe? Will he find out who is stalking her? What does their future look like? Find out what happens next in this absolute must read. I can’t hardly wait to read more from these authors.

I’m a HUGE fan of time travel novels that include romance… There’s a huge series out there with books that are like super long and I have that whole series in paperback and have read it 3 times …This is why I was a bit worried when I saw this book, I was afraid I’d be too critical or it wouldn’t live up to what I had in my mind as far as expectations for the time travel genre…
One of the main reasons I chose to read this is the author..I love Shannon Nemechek and have read a few of her books but let me just say that this is by far my favorite of hers so far. She did an AMAZING job with this story and actually had me completely invested within the first few pages and I found that I didn’t compare or criticize at all.. I actually did not want it to end. How this story unfolded and how Katie and Colm came together while Katie learned of so many things about herself and her own past, I just can’t say enough about this story!
This was full of everything I love about reading…The way everything was written made it almost seem real and even possible.. I’m not going into specifics of the story…I say read it, you will not be sorry..I can not wait for the next in this series. That ending … oh my!!
I will absolutely be rereading this right before the second book releases and I already can’t wait 🙂

Naughty & Nice by Phoebe Alexander is book four of the Spicetopia series. This book can be read as a standalone. While this book is a contemporary romance, the author adds her own flare making it such a great book to read. There is a little bit of everything in this book – drama, surprises and of course you can’t forget the romance.
Natalie is the event planner at Spicetopia and her first big event is coming up. Did I mention it’s the bosses event? Micah agreed to officiate the wedding but he had no idea what he was getting himself into. Natalie and Micah are total opposites and while it doesn’t seem logical, the attraction is off the charts.
This book was actually a little thought provoking and gets you thinking a little bit around Natalie’s thoughts on her sexuality and the idea of virginity. Like I said, there’s a little bit of everything in this book. I definitely recommend!
I was unsure what I would find within these pages. But certainly I was unprepared for the emotional journey I would embark on these words. Emotional, and powerful, the book was a rollercoaster for me. I wasn’t sure how the story would unfold but found the plot fascinating and the characters very interesting. Given that this is a true story, I was intrigued to follow the plot to conclusion. I really enjoyed this book.

Hidden Obsession An Alliance Agency Novel: Book 2 Maddie Wade and India Kells 4 stars
This story was pretty good. Cleo is a string character that has been in a position where she isn’t the one holding the cards. It’s crazy how much one can experience in such a short amount of time. I really enjoyed Mason. He was in my book a great male lead. Though his reaction to Travis wasn’t believable to me. I was shocked by how the story twisted. The plot got really juicy. Overall it was refreshing to read a story that didn’t sound like a big cliché. The authors did really well with building the story and characters. There were a few moments that I was like don’t be that chic Cleo. But it worked out. Normally books have my emotions in fifty million direction but this one kept it straight to the point. The side characters had a lot of interesting moments as well.
Naughty & Nice by Phoebe Alexander is book 4 in the Spicetopia series and definitely my favorite in the series so far. Micah and Natalie couldn’t be any more opposite. Sometimes opposites attract though right? Natalie is the event planner and she is currently planning the biggest event to happen at Spicetopia. Cy and Jolie’s wedding!!! Very exciting. We have watched these two grow since book one. They have had a lot of stuff happen to them and those around them but, it has only made them stronger.
Micah is the person who will marry the happy couple and he comes in about a week early. What is a man of the cloth to do in an “Adult Only” amusement park? Well Natalie and Micah become quite close and she shows him around the park. The first 2 days or so, they stick to the calmer things for Micah to see. Then a challenge is made for him to let loose and not be so closed minded. All bets were off after that. Natalie and Micah got to spend some time together as two average people. Not an event planner and a minister.
Everything should be happy and wonderful with this big wedding about to happen but, Mr and Mrs Sweet were there and problems started occurring. Natalie planted some seeds in their heads and it was up to them to listen to what she said or ignore it. Things couldn’t go on the way they were.
This author has become one of my “go-to” authors. She gives us alittle romance, heat, drama, and of course some bumps in the road.
Hidden Obsession (An Alliance Agency Novel Book 2) by Maddie Wade & India Kells 5 stars
I absolutely loved this book. I was hoping we got Cleo’s book next after book 1, and this didn’t disappoint. Cleo’s got a stalker and I love how we’re thrown in only knowing how much she wants to divulge as we go. And Mason, oh what a guy! These two were great to read and I enjoyed seeing those from book 1 around in this one and I so cannot wait to see where this series goes. Another amazing read!
Misplaced (Joined Book Two) by Mara Gan was a fantastic read! I give this book a five out of five stars. This is book two in the series and I felt like it was a great continuation. I enjoyed the plot and the twists and turns definitely kept me engaged. The characters were well developed and the attention to their development felt intentional.

Addie: To Wager on Her Future (Other Pens, Mansfield Park Book 5) by Leenie Brown. I’m really starting to love a appreciate a regency romance. I wasn’t always a fan but books like this one are quickly changing my mind. This story is packed with drama and emotions that will give you highs and lows. With just the right balance of funny to break it all up. From page one I was completely hooked and couldn’t put it down. The author does an amazing job of writing with such feelings and attention to even the smallest details. Each character brought me everything I was needing in their parts of the storyline making them complex and unique. The storyline has a nice easy flow never feeling rushed or lacking. I’m excited to read more from this author! Four stars and highly recommended.

You literally could not go wrong with a Maddie Wade or India Kells novel. For this reason when the two team up you can imagine some pretty awesome reading is to be expected. These two never disappoint either. I absolutely loved Hidden Obsession. Everything from the gorgeous cover to the intriguing action that keeps you in suspense throughout. I adore the undertone of romance and how it doesn’t impede the greater picture, rather is compliments the whole thing.
Cleo is too fun to read. She finds herself being stalked, but unsure if it is someone from her past returning to be an issue, or someone completely new and unknown. Either way she is forced to face the past and find her footing here and now. Mason is our main man, and a swoony one at that. He loves his girl with the violet hair and would do anything to protect her from harm. The catch is, he needs to prove to Cleo he is what she needs and wants. The stalking with come back to bite them both eventually and make for some awesome chapters of reading. I can’t say enough good about this book and would score it 10 stars if I could. Unfortunately, I’ll stick with the 5 and try to patiently wait for the next fabulous book in this series.
Misplaced by Mara Gan is the second book in the Joined series from her. I loved the first book and was very anxious to get my hands on this one to see where things would go next. I would personally recommend that you read the first book before diving into this one or you may find yourself a tad confused at times. This book will be the one you want to carve out some time for because it is so fast paced and full of action that you will be anxious on the edge of your seat to find out what will come of the characters you have grown to love. I know I did and was awake slightly past my bedtime to read the end.
This one finds Meda awakening very confused. She doesn’t even know if her real name is Meda. Regardless of her situation she becomes influential in protecting several others. I loved how she was so selfless and inviting as a character. I could totally see myself being friends with her if she were to be real. This book is sci-fi of sorts but also includes some realistic historical facts that enhance the story to make it feel that much more realistic. I loved how I never felt overwhelmed by made up names etc, something I often struggle with in this genre of books. Never an issue with Mara Gan’s work. I look forward to seeing what will come next from Mara Gan, and I am sure I will love it already!

Alice Will: Dreams of Chaos Book 1 by Ashley Chappell was an excellent adventure and fantasy read. I loved the characters and the imaginative setting. This author had an amazing imagination to create such a magnificent story. I easily got carried away with this book and enjoyed being lost in its pages. I found Trotter’s name to be unique and memorable and Alice’s age in this novel shocked me. I was very quickly attached to her young character and unique abilities. I also adored Prowler’s character as the most amazing feline ever. He was witty and perfect for that role. This book was amazing and I highly recommend it!

I do love a good fantasy read, and Mara Gan has once again proved that she writes brilliant Fantasy Romance. This is book 2 in the Joined series and for the full effect of these books, they should be read in order! This book has twists and turns throughout, you can never guess what is about to happen! Along with the twists and turns, this read is full of suspense, adventure, action & mystery things you always need in a good read! I was hooked with this book from the first sentence! We get another lot of brilliant characters that I love watching them grow and progress with their story.
Mara Gan creates a fantastic vivid world that is made mentally visual with her descriptive words, and I love diving into the world she creates. I can’t wait to see what else this author has to offer and what else will come next!

Hidden Obsession by India Kells and Maddie Wade was steamy, action-packed read with a twist that I didn’t see coming. Mason and Cleo are co-workers that have been fighting their attraction for one another until Cleo found herself with a stalker. Mason being the protector type on man has Cleo coming to stay with him and that where things begin to shift in their relationship. Can Mason and the team of Alliance find this stalker before Cleo past catches up to her?
This duo is easily becoming a favorite that I can’t wait to read more of. I highly recommend this series if your like me and love some suspense with your romances.
5 Star Running In Snow: A Holiday Novella by Renee Regent is a super quick read and is made up of two short stories in which are set around Christmas and New Years. I found myself lost in the pages and truly enjoyed both stories and was wishing they were longer. In the first story Noelle’s Promise we have Noelle she hates the holidays but has promised her boyfriend and lilly his daughter that she will spend the Holiday them. She makes it through the party until a family member gets loud which brings back memories from her childhood. What does the future hold for Noelle? In the second story Eve’s Hope. Eve doesn’t like the holiday either and New Year’s eve is no exception. But when her heat goes out she accepts her neighbors invite over to his party. Find out what happens next in this must read.i look forward to reading more from this Author.

This is quite the murder mystery story! It was a bit of a struggle at first. Once we met the neighbors the story started taking off. It was fast paced and I couldn’t put it down. Everything thing was woven in highlight the good and bad so I never could figure out who done it. Very well done!
This is my first book by this author. I enjoyed her story telling. It easily kept my interest and the characters were riveting.

Mara Gan’s Joined series is one that moves between different genres. The first book was science fiction, with a space opera feel to it. The second book, Misplaced, is a mythological fantasy set in Ancient Greece. They are held together by character and story but the world has a completely different feel to it. I particularly liked Meda in Joined and love how her character is developed in Misplaced. She has woken up in this strange world with no memories of her past, besides her name. She is struggling to survive, going to desperate lengths to protect others and herself. The world she has found herself in is one of corrupt power and unjust rules, where doing what is right can get her into a lot of trouble. As before, the world building was fantastic. There were plenty of recognisable figures and events from history and mythology, as well as vivid scenes such as markets and forests. I could really picture the environments Meda was in! For me, this is a five star book. I’d recommend reading from the start of the series if you’re after a rich fantasy that will take you to some wonderful places. I’m really excited to see where this story goes next, and how it develops further. After Joined and Misplaced, it feels like anything could happen!

Both of these authors are fantastic on their own and the combination of them together is just so powerful. This book was absolutely brilliant. It genuinely had me on the edge of my seat, heart racing and I could not put it down. I loved the whole basis of the story. It had everything you could want from this type of book. The characters were just fantastic. I really felt like I connected with them. They had such a chemistry that you could feel on each and every page. This series so far has been fantastic, and I cannot wait to read more from it. This collaboration of authors is definitely one of the best I have read.
As I said in my review of the 1st book of this series I am not a huge fan of sci fi or fantasy…I enjoyed the first book enough to read this one and I might have liked this one a little better. It’s been a bit since I’ve read the first and I thought I was ok because most of the book can be read as a stand alone but later on some of the first book came into play and I probably should have refreshed my memory and it might have helped, but this one felt completely different and I did enjoy it more.
I really did like Meda, her character was awesome and I was drawn into the story right away with reading about her waking up and the sensations she was experiencing trying to figure out where she was, and then who she was. Her struggles to survive felt very real, and realizing her special ability yet having no idea how she got it was awesome. I loved how she set a mission to help and followed through.
The story did flow nicely and didnt feel near as wordy as the first book did. I will just say that if your a fan of Sci Fi, Epic fantasy than you will love this book. It was written very well. The whole Meda and Perseus part of the story put a whole new spin on second chances. I loved that!

Misplaced is the much anticipated second book in the Joined Series by Mara Gan. I have been anticipating the release of this book, waiting to continue from where we left off in book one. To say I had high expectations would be an understatement! I adored the first book and couldn’t wait to dive into this one. I am so impressed by this exciting second instalment!! It is everything I could have hoped for, and more!!! The story picks up a little after the climactic events at the end of book one. Meda awakes on a remote beach- with no memory of where she is, how she got there- or anything else for that matter- except for knowing her name. I won’t go into too much detail here, because I don’t want to spoil the story for you. But what ensues makes for an exceptional, and spellbinding read which any real fantasy lover sure won’t want to miss. As it is a continuation of the story from book one- I really recommend reading the first book before beginning on this one. There is a lot of backstory, character introductions, and other important information contained in Joined (Book One), which I feel you need to know in order to fully appreciate this book. This book has so much going for it- it has a bit of a Greek myth feel to it- but with an originality all its own. It’s a mystical and suspenseful- with mystery, drama, danger, action, adventure, brilliant world building, superb characters, intriguing storyline, choreographed beautifully, with real historical facts sprinkled throughout the storyline to add an extra element of interest to the whole thing. I can see Ms. Gan put a lot of time, effort, research, planning, heart, and soul into this story- and it really shows- setting this story apart from many others in the same genre. As I mentioned in my review for “Joined”- the characters are really superb! They’re so well crafted, complex, and incredibly endearing. Ms. Gan’s world building skills are top notch- she has built an entirely believable, vividly detailed, rich and fascinating world in which to set her story/series- right down to intricate backstories, histories, and even languages. The story is elaborate, and multi-layered- with so much happening, I was on the edge of my seat. That ending!!! I NEED the next book NOW!!! I CAN-NOT-WAIT!!!! My mind is reeling with possibilities- anticipating where the story is heading!! It’s set to be EPIC!!!

Hidden Obsession is the second thrilling instalment in the Alliance Agency series by Maddie Wade and India Kells. As I have said previously, these ladies are two of my favourite authors, so when they team up to write a book, I just know I have to read it, no questions asked!! I am really loving this series- right from the gorgeous covers, to the superb writing, and all the intense action-packed and gripping storyline(s)- featuring such fantastic characters- so, colour me hooked. Like the first book, this is a romantic suspense- with intensity, action, danger, a stalker element, emotion, secrets, thrills, tension, intrigue, mystery, drama, chemistry, surprises, interconnected details, complexity…. and much more. The authors built the suspense, tension, intrigue, and drama superbly- holding me in the story, right on the edge of my seat a lot of the time- and kept me guessing the whole way through. These two ladies definitely know how to weave a gripping and engrossing story, that’s for sure! The authors styles definitely complement one another, as the story is a really well written and polished piece of work-and is a testament to the authors writing skills and compatibility. Now, I can’t wait to get my hands on more! Fantastic!!!

Amy’s Santa (Satan’s Devils MC Second Generation #1) by Manda Mellett is the first book in the Satan’s Devils Second Generation series. I have read the first generation as well as her Colorado chapter books. I can honestly say that I love these books. I did put the disclaimer that Manda Mellett put in her teaser about the book and characters. This story is about Amy and Drew. They were apart of the first generation series but they were young. I was hoping there was a story going to be told about these two. Without giving too much away Amy loved coming home for the holidays but this year was different. Amy has a secret that she does not want her Satan Devil’s family to find out about. Will Amy’s secret stay safe or will her family find out about it? What does the future hold for her? Will Drew be apart of her future? It is well worth reading this story to find out the answers to these questions and more.
