Hidden Obsession (An Alliance Agency Novel #2)Hidden Obsession by India Kells
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Maddie Wade and India Kells have made a dynamic duo for Hidden Obsession. I recommend reading the Prequel and Knight Watch (Book 1). The characters are complex and complicated and the plot is engaging. It is a fast paced roller coaster ride from the first page to the last page. This story focuses on Cleo and Mason. Cleo is an office manager of the Alliance Agency. She is a strong female but there is a skeleton in her closet. . Mason is a security who has protected from the rich and famous to the royalties. Mason has fallen for Cleo and the feeling is mutual. When there is a stalker coming after Cleo, will Mason be able to protect Cleo? Will the skeleton be too much for Cleo to keep secret? I highly recommend this story to find out these answers and much more.

Testament of Feats: Book of Judgement Book One by K.H. Jones. This is the first book I’ve read by this author and I believe its his first book. Its a great read. Its a fantasy book which is not my favorite but this book pulled me in and wouldn’t let me go. It reminded me of The Hobbit and it was so interesting. It has all kinds of World building and you have to pay attention or you will get lost. Night Scream is a ranger and he is in search of another ranger named Warhold. Some people offer to help Scream but others are extremely dangerous to him. Scream has decided he will find what he wants no matter how many worlds it takes him to or how much danger it puts him in. Mr. Jones storytelling is amazing and so detailed. I’m sure this won’t be the last book I read by him.

Winds of Fear: A gripping psychological thriller (Fearless Series) by Gledé Browne Kabongo. This book was one of the best I’ve read this year! This is my first book by this author and I’ll be hitting the rest as soon as possible. I completely agree that this can be read as a stand-alone with any confusion, but I’ll definitely be getting the others. From page one I knew I was in for a fantastic read with Abbie and I wasn’t wrong. This story had me on the edge of my seat most of the time and I loved every minute of it. The characters are so well written you can see each scene right before your eyes. The storyline is filled with suspense and twists that had me completely hooked! I can’t wait to read more from this author! Five stars all the way and highly recommended!

Testament of Feats: Book of Judgment by K. H. Jones. I sometimes have a hard time sinking into a fantasy type stories but I had no trouble with this story. This book is well written and paced nicely never feeling rushed or lacking anything. The characters are complex and truly pulled me in. The story is no quick read and I mean that in all the right ways, I had a hard time putting it down but I had at times simply to stop my head from being overloaded with all the amazing things happening in this book. The author created a truly unique story world that kept me hooked. I’m excited to see where we’re taken next from this author. Four big stars and highly recommended.

Earl of Darby (Wicked Earls’ Club) (Once Upon A Widow Book 4) by Aubrey Wynne. This entire series has been stealing bit of my heart since book one and yet again I find a piece missing! I’ve been really enjoying all these stories and this one was no different in that regard. Once again this author completely hooked me from page one. This author and series has really opened my eyes for historical romance, you see I wasn’t much of a fan but that’s definitely changing now. The characters from start to finish completely drew me into their world and I couldn’t stop reading. Each character brings something unique to the storyline, everyone being complex and relatable. The storyline is well written and paced nicely never feeling rushed or lacking. Each character has a story to be told you won’t want to miss. I’m excited to see where the author takes readers next. Courage of Us (Code of Honor Book 1) by Brooke May – Review by Jenni Bishop

Courage of Us (Code of Honor Book 1)Courage of Us by Brooke May
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Courage of Us (Code of Honor Book 1) by Brooke May is a story that you can easily get lost in. It is a military romance and it is one story with deep feelings and emotions, heartache and love, loss and pain and Brooke has written the characters in such a way that you become so immersed in them that you feel everything right along with them. It is a tale of young love that was lost and secrets that may destroy them.

Patience’s world was changing, everyone she loved went away but what hurt the most was the loss of her best friend. Nothing for seven years but heartache and loss but she is slowly rebuilding her life that is until her past comes back and she has to face it head on. Will she be able to share her most terrible secret with the one that could destroy her?

Duke could not bear to see the pain so he took off without a word and now he is coming home after years away and is determined to get back what is his. But there is one thing stopping him and he doesn’t want to share that secret with anyone who could see him less than a man. Will he take a chance and share every secret or will it be too much and lose his chance at love?

Brooke’s story is a second chance at love and about healing through the pain that life has thrown at you by being with the one you love.

Naughty & NiceNaughty & Nice by Phoebe Alexander
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Naughty & Nice (Spicetopia #4) by Phoebe Alexander is my absolute favourite of the series. This wonderfully sinful tale gives us a wedding and an unlikely couple come together. There is never any question when it comes to one of Phoebes books, I jump right in and she never disappoints. The Spicetopia world is vivid and alive and the characters are well developed and loveable.

Natalie is planning the biggest event since it opened for Cy and Jolie’s wedding. Nerves are strung tight when the officiate comes and then Cy’s parents. Natalie meets the charming Micah and is surprised when he wants to see the park. Sparks fly and he realises there is more to life than he thought. Will Cy’s parents ruin the wedding? Will Micah decide it is more than he can handle and run for the hills?

Phoebe did a great job and it is one book you don‘t want to miss out on. If you like something oh so sexy and erotic, steaming and exciting then this is a book is one you should grab and dive right in.

I can’t wait for more.

From the moment I started reading this book I was utterly hooked. I really felt like I was immersed completely in the story and the journey of Katie and Colm. I loved how different they both were and how they managed to create a connection despite this.
Ms Nemechek has a great writing style – one that I have appreciated in previous books I have read. This whole book has a great flow to it. It was very well developed and did everything needed to capture my interest. This book is clearly the start of a great new series and one I cannot wait to continue.

Naughty & Nice (Spicetopia #4) by Phoebe Alexander. This is the fourth book in this series and I honestly can not count how many books I have read by this wonderful author!!! This might have been in the top of my favorites by Ms. Alexander.
What could possibly be bad about this book and series. An “adult” theme park, the wedding of the century, throw in a sexy event planner and an even sexier minister……. can they behave themselves or is one week just enough time to get in “trouble”?
While these books can be read as stand-alones, in my opinion, it is better to read them all together, to just the full experience. I can not wait to see what this amazing author is going to give us next!!!!

Misplaced is the second book in this series and again another enjoyable read from Mara Gan. As soon as I started this book I again was captivated by the authors writing, her imaginative writing style transported me into the story and the loves of the characters. I was really engaged in what I was reading from beginning to end. I love Meda’s character, there is just something about her that draws me to her, she is strong and stubborn yet to the people she cares about she is willing to do anything. I loved the twists and turns this story took – I definitely wasn’t expecting some of them and I was glued to the pages hoping that it would end how I wanted it to!
I would definitely recommend reading this series in order. I am looking forward to reading more from this author again in the future.

The characters are engaging and personalities that just pop off the page. Katarina and Chase have a steaming relationship. They are trying to fulfill her father’s dream. Katarina has to remember when it comes to Italian family dynamics there are traditions and rules. Katarina is on a long road but maybe Chase will help her along the way. Katarina is a strong female character and I love watching her grow with the story. Will Katarina fulfill her father’s dream? Will Chase help protect Katarina? You will have to read the story to find out all the details of this story and more.

5 Stars

Naughty & Nice is the fourth book in the Spicetopia series by Phoebe Alexander. This is such a fantastic contemporary romance- with quite a lot of surprising elements to the story. Ms. Alexander takes all the stereotypes of contemporary romance and turns them on their head. This book is anything but the usual trope we may be used to. She introduces a few little twists of her own- and adds her own ‘spice’ recipe to the mix, to really hold our attention. This story is everything I had hoped for, and much more. It’s naughty, nice, sweet, and spicy- with drama, surprises, humour, discovery, chemistry, and a wonderful romance.
Natalie Roux is the event planner at Spicetopia, the ‘adult’ theme park- and her first big event is the owner’s wedding. No pressure, right? She is determined to make this the best holiday wedding, ever! But when she meets the minister who arrives to perform the wedding ceremony, she realises that it’s not going to be so easy staying on task. How hard could it be though? It is only for a week.
Micah Green is about to discover a whole lot more than he ever imagined, when he agrees to officiate at the wedding. The week is about to get very interesting. What ensues makes for a captivating read- and is one of Ms. Alexander’s best books yet!
I sure hope there are more books planned for addictive series!! Bring on Book 5!!! Hint hint hint, Ms. Alexander….
Happy reading!

Thank you, Ms. Alexander!

Winds of Fear (Fearless Series #3)Winds of Fear by Glede Browne Kabongo
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Winds of Fear was a thrilling and suspenseful 5 star read and book three in the Fearless Series.
I was pulled in right from the beginning.

Abbie is a busy mom who is working to get her PhD. She gets an opportunity to meet her new neighbors Jenna and Charlie when they stop by for a quick hello. Jenna shows a little too much interest in Lucas, Abbie’s oldest son. Which causes Abbie to get uneasy feelings.

When her kids nanny ends up quitting and is found dead, Jenna offers to take care of the kids until Abbie can find a new nanny. Things start to get even weirder and even the kids are starting to sense that some things are not right.

Overall this was a great read that kept me on the edge of my seat. There are several twists and turns, we get murder, mystery, suspense and so much more. This is my first read from this author and she pulled me right in with her writing. This book can be read as a stand alone, however I wouldn’t mind reading the first two books so I can connect better with the series. 1-click and get started today.

5 out of 5 stars

The story The Traveler: Chimera Rebellion (The Book of Eleanor Book 1) by Shannon Nemechek is a time travel/romance book. It is a story that had me hooked from the beginning and I didn’t want to put it down. I loved reading about the characters of Katie Butler and Colm O’Donnell. Katie is a strong, independent woman who finds herself transported back in time. Colm is attracted to Katie and is determined to find out the truth about her. What does the future hold for Katie and Colm? Read this book to find out. The author gives wonderful attention to detail and I felt like I was right there with the characters. I grew to care about Katie and Colm with every chapter that I read. Katie finds herself at a time in history where the country that she finds herself in is at war with itself. I have not read a lot of time travel/romance books however this one has me wanting to read more of them. Don’t miss out on a wonderful story and find out if Katie and Colm have a future together. I recommend reading this book.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I give Naughty & Nice (Spicetopia Book 4) by Phoebe Alexander, 5 stars.

This is the latest in a great series, and the author has hit it out of the park yet again! Each couple has been different in each book, but I was never expecting Micah!!! That made it even better. Natalie and Micah are exceptional and the characters you loved from previous books are back too! You don’t have to read the previous books first, but I highly recommend it since they are each so good and you will learn the whole story. That being said, I love how the author has yet again added in the bullet points in the story leading up to this book. It’s a nice reminder for those forgetful like myself or those new to the series.

The story itself is so fun. Besides the attraction between the two main characters, there is also a wedding about to happen and chaos that ensues from that. There are so many feelings in this book.

For those who like their romance hot, heavy, and a little different, this book is for you. It relvoves among an adult amusement park, need I say more?

Naughty & NiceNaughty & Nice by Phoebe Alexander
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Another story from Spicetopia means another ride into a fantasy land. Alexander has created an adult world…well actually an adult playground that helps the reader escape real life problems. A dream land.

“No judgment. Everyone’s into different things, and it’s all good. I’ve never been in a place where I felt freer to be myself.”

There should be so many places where people can say this in the real world.

The plot idea is interesting enough, a male virgin…a minister virgin at that. Mix in a woman of experience, one with an open mind and you have the making of some sweet sexy fun. “Who knew?”
We follow many of the characters from Book one throughout the series. Each book looking at one
couple more than the others. Micah and Natalie are this book’s starring couple.

This story is such a fun read. Definitely recommend this story, series and author.

5 ++++ Stars

So when reading the end of Fire & Ice and she explained and gave us just enough of a teaser about this book I sat with a smile on my face wondering how this author was going to handle this with everything else I’ve read by her. I can only imagine this was a challenge for her 🙂

Bravo Miss Alexander..this was perfect! I want to say this is my favorite of the four but I enjoyed every one of these so much that its become one story for me and I so appreciate the work that went in to releasing these all so quickly, I was able to grab each one and jump right back in without any refresher time. Cy and Jolie will continue to be my favorite couple but Micah and Natalie won my heart almost immediately. There were a couple parts in this book that had me laughing out loud and most had to do with explaining some of the attractions at this park…This author never ceases to amaze me with how she can make this married for eons kind of woman blush. I love it!!

PLEASE give us more of this series, I don’t even care if it revolves around our already beloved characters..Just give us more!! I can’t wait to read all of these again!!

It is a must to read this in order, I can’t imagine not having read all of these.

Simply Amazing!!!

The Crown of Stones: Magic-Scars is the second book in The Crown of Stones series. It picks up two years after the events of book one.

I have to say that I have loved every book I’ve read by this author and this one holds up to the rest of them. The world building is superb. And, while it can slow the story down a bit sometimes, I love the attention to detail. When you are reading this story, you get lost in the adventure and feel like you are living alongside the characters.

This is definitely a page turner. You will find yourself losing sleep just to find out what happens next as the story takes you on an emotional roller coaster full of twists and turns.

The Traveler: Chimera Rebellion (The Book of Eleanor 1) by Shannon Nemechek is an interesting read that keeps you on your toes wondering what is coming next. It is well written and keeps you glued to the pages. I enjoyed the characters and the worlds that Shannon has created. The story is along the same lines as Outlander, which I truly love. There is magic and witches, time travel and wars death and love.

Kate finds herself in Savannah and loving the history she has heard about, but she soon finds herself in another time and in the middle of war and face to face with her soul mate. But that is not the only thing she finds in this time, what she learns seems impossible and almost laughable, but she soon learns the truth and what her destiny is meant to be.

If you love Outlander, you will love this. I look forward to more from Shannon.
