What I love about books the most is the characters and the journey they take in the story. In this story, Xen is a strong woman that I enjoyed reading about. Her journey in this book kept the story interesting and flowing pretty well. This is told from several different characters pov so you need to check out to see whose pov each chapter is written. This is the author’s first book, and I felt that she did well. I am interested in what she puts out in the future.

This book can be read as a stand alone but, I would recommend reading the complete series so that you can get some of the back story on what the other characters are referencing. I read this as a stand alone and yes I could keep up, and knew what was happening at all times but there was always that little niggle in my mind that made me want to know what they were talking about in some areas. It is definitely worth the read.
Beth is an awesome woman. Although she is actually shy, timid, and sometimes self conscious because of her height, she takes care of anything and everything by herself, she doesn’t feel the need to ask anyone for help. I thought I was going to hate Ink right away but he quickly proved that he was a good man, and good enough for Beth. He didn’t have too rough of a past that most bikers in these stories do, but their story alone made up for that fact. When all the drama around the drugs starts to unfold and Beth is caught up in it all, my heart started to break because it looked as though Satan’s Devils were going to abandon her and Ink could do nothing but be helpless. Then when her dad showed his true colors everything blew up and started happening so fast, but all the truths come out.
I would highly recommend this book, it is a perfect mixture of romance, bikers, drama, and action. I read this in one day and could not put it down. The secondary characters were all interesting as well, which will make we want to rewind and go back to their books. Now I can’t wait for the next book in the series and hope it is about Ink’s best friend Mace.

I don’t really read a lot of self-help books but this is one I’d definitely recommend. I’ve always been a skinny girl but have in the past few years become much more concerned with how I look. This book really helped me think about the way I think about my body and how that connects with other parts of my life. I loved the addition of the journalling prompts spread out throughout the book and the 365 daily prompts at the end, and the writing style is exactly like chatting with the author over coffee – girl next door and all. Highly recommended.

The Runaraound by Sylvie Stewart is the 6th book in the Carolina Connections series. I am new to this author and I am IN LOVE! I love her style of writing. She has a way of making the characters really come to life with their emotions and quick wittiness. I was hooked on this story from the moment I started this book until the very last page. Ariana was an amazing character all together and I loved her throughout the whole book. She is very strong and quite humorous. I felt the strong connection between her and Jax. I felt his frustration with his newly discovered teenager. I feel as if this book couldn’t have been any better… it was written perfectly. I will be honest and say that I have not read the other books in this series. However after reading this one, I’ll be going back and giving them each the love and attention that they deserve.

I always know, and love, that with a Rowan Shaw book I am going to get some taboo subjects with some steamy reading to accompany it. I wasn’t disappointed with REBOUND, the 4th book in the REWIND series from her. Like I usually do, this book should and does, have a content warning because it will make you explore concepts and ideals around love that are a bit outside the typical or what most consider typical love stories. I love how Rowan Shaw can do this with a finesse that will blow your socks off each time.
In REBOUND we get the story of Noah. Noah has thought that no matter how rough life can get at least he has a good man by his side that loves him. All of that is shattered with an unexpected break up. This spurns Noah into discovering his more bisexual side and a relationship with a woman that will heat up your kindles as you read. I personally enjoyed the undertone of a Polyamorous relationship and the way they seem to work. I am personally a practicing poly person so this was a nice bonus touch to the story for me personally that I thought was done very well, something I find is not easy to do. I look forward to seeing what will come next in the series as I am sure it will be as delightful and steamy as these have! Hopefully it tops this as it became my favorite of the series fast.
5 Star REBOUND (REWIND BOOK 4) By Rowan Shaw is the fourth book in the Rewind series and a book I couldn’t put down once I started reading. I can’t tell you how much I freaking love this whole series and this author. This story can be read as a standalone but I recommend reading the first three books in this series to give you background of the characters . Noah is faced with a opportunity one he’s always wanted and has dreamed about it. But is it worth the risk of his heart getting broken? I have to say I just love Noah and want him to find what makes him happy. There are parts of the story that had me feeling a little emotional. Get ready for this emotional journey. Find out what happens next in this must read. I can’t wait to read more from this Author.

The Fat Girls Guide to Loving Your Body by K.L. Montgomery is a book you need to read. Although this book is primarily a body positive book it can be about anything in yourself that you have decided you do not like. Ms. Montgomery points out in this book how that is a “choice”. Of course, we all want to say…well that’s easy to say but how do you do it. What are the mechanics of making a different choice? In this book Ms. Montgomery takes you on a journey that will lead you into learning how to do that. She teaches you the mechanics if you are listening with your heart and mind. The language is a little rough at times, but I think it reflects a very real person that is talking to you in a very real way. Not dressed up and all Grammarly but plain and simple, and down and dirty. I feel like it reflects the heart of someone who has a very real desire to help people find out where happiness can be found. Let K.L. Montgomery show you how you are so much more “than the sum of your parts.”

5 Star Covert Threat (A Gray Ghost Novel, book 5) by Amy McKinley is a wonderfully written Book that once I started reading I couldn’t put it down till the end. I’ve absolutely loved this series and I have to say this is my favorite yet. The characters are very well developed and easily relatable and they have some serious chemistry . In this book we get Trev and Jules, she’s a workaholic who needs protection and he’s a former Navy Seal. Will he be able to protect her? What does their future look like? Find out what happens next in this absolute must read. I also recommend reading the first four books in this series as well. It’s a series I know I’m going to read again and again. I look forward to reading more from this Author.

Phoebe Alexander is one of my go-to authors! You can never go wrong at one of her reads being absolutely captivating that will keep you on your toes and have you turning the pages until the very end! Phoebe Alexander has once again created a read that is well developed and characters that are relatable, lovable and real! Our main characters are James & Sarah they develop a connection and their chemistry is off the charts sexy. But what happens when things could turn into something more! This is a steamy read, with romance, high emotions and a captivating storyline that you wouldn’t want to miss! I can’t wait to see where else this series goes and what this author brings us next.

Thia Finn is a new author for me and this was a brilliant introduction to them! This author definitely has a way with words, a brilliant storyline has been created along with in-depth characters that I thoroughly enjoyed to read, it was well developed from the start and I was hooked within minutes. I loved the characters that this author created, they were each real, relatable and helped push the story forward. This story definitely brings you all the emotions but with it, I couldn’t put the read down. I can’t wait to see what else this author brings us!

I have been reading this author for years and have followed his character Stone Barrington ever since. This is one of my favorite yet. It is a well developed story that kept me turning pages. I love Stone’s character. He brings the story to life and keeps it engaging. The twists and turns had me sitting on the edge of my seat just waiting to see what would happen next. If you are a fan of Stone, I highly recommend reading this book, you don’t want to miss it.
A Sun So Bright is the 3rd book in the outstanding Reigning Hearts Series by K.G. Fletcher. Fletcher is an author that I have come to love in the last year and is now way up on my list of favourite authors. Her ability to write a heart-wrenching romance blows my mind and this book exceeded my expectations. We first me the heroine of this book, Fiona Merrill, in the first book in the series Run To The Sea. At this point in time she didn’t do herself any favours and came across as a stuck up rich girl. Also her actions in this book had the reader hating her. I was kind of worried how K.G. Fletcher would get the reader to love Fiona’s character but I shouldn’t have worried at all. Fletcher is a master at writing amazing characters. In this book we get to see the real Fiona, the sad, lonely woman hiding behind all the riches that money can buy. But she wants what money can’t buy and that is love and happiness. After hiring hot bartender Chris Ballard to play her boyfriend we really get to see the real Fiona. She’s actually a very sweet, loving, loyal person. I loved the relationship between her and Chris. So of their interactions are hilarious as he tries to break down the ice queen. As with all of her books, I was pulled right into this story straight away and was gripped the whole way through. This book will take you on a long and twisting roller coaster of emotions and you just might need some tissues to get you through some parts. I certainly did!! This book just had all the feels! I was totally hooked. I hope that K.G. Fletcher gives us more from the Reigning Hearts Series as I’ve loved this series so much.

Covert Threat (A Gray Ghost Novel, book 5) by Amy McKinley is an excellent, fast paced, action filled, romance. It has an excellent storyline and plot. The climax was amazing and I love how the author wrapped it up. Jules and Trev are the main characters of this novel. Jules story was shocking and tragic when it was revealed later in the book. I was in tears after finding out how and why she lost her memory following a boating accident at a young age. Jules was amazing and I loved how smart she was. The things she had accomplished with her career were inspiring. Trev was also an inspirational character as well. I love that he taught self-defense classes for women in honor of his mother. Despite his tragic and painful youth, he grew into a strong, educated, and fun protector. I loved this book and I highly recommend it.

The Fat Girl’s Guide to Loving Your Body by K.L. Montgomery 5 +++ Stars Wow, just Wow, I really felt like this book, this author was really talking straight too me! K.L. Montgomery who refers to herself as Krista in her book is a ‘Kindred Spirit’. This is definitely not just another self-help book, it is much more than that, if like the blurb says, “Do you wonder if you’ll ever be happy with your body? then I recommend this book. It is written in the first person almost as though Krista is talking to you personally, just chatting as friends as it has a casual feel to the writing which I liked and felt was right for this book. The book is divided into bite size chapters with clear headings and each one deals with a particular subject at the end of each chapter is a journaling assignment for the reader to work on. Krista introduces us to ‘Journaling’ in an early chapter and this is what makes this book unique, as it is gives the book an interactive feel and gets us, as the reader involved and thinking about our own experiences and how we can change for the better. Krista is very clear throughout the book that, “it’s indeed your mind that needs to change, not your body”. “IT IS NOT YOUR JOB TO BE PRETTY” is another saying which is repeated throughout the book. She reaffirms her positive sayings throughout the book. Krista talks us through ‘deprogramming’ in one chapter and she introduces us to ‘Body Positivity or ‘BoPo’ as she refers to it. I love the fact that Krista is honest and talks openly about her own experiences which made me feel as though I was not alone in my thinking and that someone felt the same, this kept me engaged in the book from beginning to end and I read it in hours not days. I have also referred back to certain chapters and feel that having read it cover to cover the use of easily identified chapters means the parts that are specific to you, you can refer back to. I love the fact that at then end you can download and print a certificate to, “remind yourself of your commitment to loving your body”. You can also join Krista’s ‘Fat Girl Tribe’, on Facebook and the book ends with a section of daily ‘BoPo’ Meditations which enables the reader to continue their journey, each day has an affirmation to be read and reflected on. As Krista observes at the end of her book, changing ones mindset and learning to love your body is not an overnight thing. The, “meditations are meant to keep your focus on all things body positive”. I could go on raving about this book for hours but really you need to read it for yourselves to understand how inspirational Krista is and how her advice in this book can really help you. Therefore I can not recommend this book highly enough, a definite must read for anyone wanting to achieve a more positive body image! So if as the blurb says, “Have you ever struggled to love your body? then yes I definitely agree that, “YES “YOU NEED THIS BOOK. NOW”!

Sky to Sea by Amanda Marin is the second book in the Crimson Sash series. This is a wonderful YA/dystopian story with the main characters, Neve Hall and Micah Ward. Neve and Micah are trying to prove themselves in the New Republic so they can gain citizenship. But the best things are not always easy. The two are quickly put to the test amid the New Republic and the Nations relationship becoming explosive. I highly recommend reading the books in order to get the full story and enjoyment out of this series. This is well written and the characters are great. I really want to know more of Neve and Micah’s story and am awaiting the next book in the series.

Not sure why but this is my first book by this author and I loved it. I love a break sometimes from the heavy drama and the too hot scenes, not that I don’t love those too but this story was refreshing while still being very emotional, and I enjoyed every single word. I love this author’s style of writing, very smooth and easy to read.
I have 4 daughters, and although I’ve never dealt with this sort of conflict described in this story I’ve seen many others play out over the years and this book felt so real. The conversations felt real, the feelings were described in a way that made me feel them. I seem to gravitate toward the deep family stories lately and the emotions that go with them, this was an amazingly written book and as I said above, not sure why this is my first read by this author, but I can guarantee I have already looked at what else is available and my tbr has grown and I’ll be watching for any and everything from this point on.

REBOUND (Rewind Book 4) by Rowan Shaw. This author knows just how to pull me in. I’ve read these in order a while you could read them differently I recommend in order just to enhance the reading experience of this series. This author knows how to write a story that grips readers. I’ve loved every book in this series and this one was just as amazing. The characters are complex and relatable I was completely drawn into their story I just didn’t want to leave. There’s so much emotion written into the words and I felt it all. The characters captured a piece of my heart and I’ll never get it back nor do I want it back, because I truly felt a connection with each character in different ways. It’s well written and paced nicely never feeling rushed or lacking anything. It’s a bit different and I loved every minute of it. Five stars all the way and highly recommended. Can’t wait to see where the author takes readers next.
Game of Fear: A gripping psychological thriller with a shocking twist (Fearless Series) by Gledé Browne Kabongo. This book had me completely drawn in and on the edge of my seat. This author knows the meaning of suspense and how to keep readers guessing. From page one I knew I was in for quite the adventure with Abbie, I was hooked and couldn’t put it down. It’s not an overly long book but that didn’t hinder the storyline in anyway, it’s fast paced but not rushed. It’s a well written thriller that I really enjoyed. Characters are complex and well written. If you’re looking for something that keeps you on the edge of your seat I highly recommend this book. Four stars and highly recommended.

Taming Zane (Almost Perfect Series Book 2) by Lisa Lanay. This was just what I needed. Something not too heavy and a fun read. The characters have a chemistry that jumps off the pages. Sometimes life likes to change what you have planned and this book shows that when Shannon meets Zane. The characters are relatable and had me completely hooked from page one. I read this in one sitting because I couldn’t put it down. It’s well written and paced nicely never feeling rushed or lacking anything. It’s a sweet heart warming story that I really enjoyed. Excited to see where this author takes readers next. Five stars all the way and highly recommended.

Beloved by Pamela DuMond is the third book in the 21st Century Courtesan series.
This is my favorite book of the series so far and I’m dying to see what happens to Evie in the next book. As I was finishing this up Moulin Rouge was on and of course I felt it was fate and had to have it on in the background.
So much happens to Evie in this book and I have no idea where to start. There’s Dylan, Wyatt and Easton all vying to be a part of Evie’s life in some capacity. Her sister Ruby, who I really want to smack for being selfish and throwing everything to Evie. Evie’s mom who is doing better but still has her issues and then there’s the stalker who we learns lot more about.
I have questions about a few things but I have a feeling they will be answered in the next book which needs to hurry up.

The Fat Girl’s Guide To Loving Your Body by K.L. Montgomery Five Stars
This is a must read book for everyone, especially if you have self image issues. I wasn’t sure what I was getting into when I started reading this book, but this book gave me something to think about. I don’t have to settle and this book gave me some great ideas about self image and attitude. I love the narrative when K.L. Is talking to you like a girlfriend. I’m not much for writing, but the exercises were stimulating and help give me a different perspective. So me new outlook on this year is to be better to myself and try not to sweat the small stuff. Life throws us enough curveballs we shouldn’t bring more on ourselves. Thank you Krista Lynne for the insightful words of wisdom. I look forward to continuing down this healing path for the foreseeable future.

Ink’s Devil (Satan’s Devils MC Colorado Chapter #5) by Manda Mellett 5 ++++++++ (there’s not enough to justify this book)
Ok, seriously can this author stop making me love another biker every time I read a new book? I’ve got enough biker book boyfriends to last me a lifetime now but I will still greedily take more! Ink, he’s intrigued me from the start of this series and I was so happy to get this book. And he didn’t disappoint one bit. Typical biker, ex marine, single for life, one and done. We’ve read about it in every book and every book they fall harder and harder. This had such an amazing story and something different than ever before. (For real how does she do This every single time) Bethany, or Beth, is now one of my favorite female characters in these books, she’s not afraid to take the fall for her mistakes no matter the consequences, as like the other females who need to be strong to be with a biker, but she hit me on different level and I can’t put my finger on why. These two, oh the chemistry, the give and take and the just overall protectiveness these two had so quickly just drew me right in and I couldn’t devour this fast enough.
I am so so curious who will be next and I have a guess, but we will see if I’m right or wrong when that time comes. As for now, I will just love this book as being my favorite at this moment and probably best read of the year so far.

This is the third book in this series and wow it took me through the ringer emotionally. It is my suggestion that you read these books in order for the best experience. This story is full of mystery, intrigue, romance, and amazing characters. Evie who I have loved since the first book is a wonderful character who uses her empathic gift to help billionaire men heal. She also takes care of her mom and sister. Her boyfriend wants to move their relationship to the next level for the wrong reasons. Her first love is now part of her life, and she has a stalker after her. This author has grabbed me from the beginning and kept me entertained and wanting more everytime I finish one of her books. I CANNOT wait to read book 4, it can’t come soon enough!! I highly recommend this fantastic story you will not be sorry.

The Runaround: A Single Dad Romantic Comedy by Sylvie Stewart is the sixth book in the Carolina Connections series. This book can be read as a stand-alone. Whenever I pick up a book by this author I know I am going to enjoy it. This book however blew my expectations out of the water. I loved Ari and Jax. The connection between them was fantastic. I laughed along with them, a found myself getting choked up a time or two. They really made me feel like I was on their journey with them. I loved the story as well: it felt different to most other single dad stories I have read recently. It was entertaining and well written. This book ticked all the boxes for me and I will definitely be going back to read the rest in the series.

The Rise of House Valdis is the first novel in the House Valdis series by Naomi Valkyrie.
I went into the novel knowing nothing about the story. The cover caught my attention and I thought it was time to give something different a chance. I’m glad I did.
It’s been seven years since Xenobia arrived on Earth looking for a fresh start. Her best friend Maggie is the only one who knows her secret.
She runs her company helping young girls out of situations. When she agrees to help a man out with his daughter, it unravels a chain of events that may cause Xenobia to reveal her true identity.
I was so blown away by how engrossed I was by this story and learning more about Xenobia. I love Xenobia’s character and how she was protecting her girls.
I don’t want to give anything away but I do look forward to the next novel.

Mountains Wanted (Mountains Series Book 1) by Phoebe Alexander is an erotic tale where the female lead is sexual liberal and polyamorous and our unsuspecting military man is younger and conservative. It is an unlikely pairing but somehow it works and he is introduced to a lifestyle he never knew existed. Sarah knows what she wants but the traditionalist catholic boy James wants his cake and eat it too. Sometimes I wanted to sit Sarah down and give her a good talking to and hug James due to his confusion and uncertainty and I absolutely cracked up laughing at Sarah’s best friend and her antics. It is a very emotive story and touches on subjects that others may find taboo but Phoebe is as always very respectful in the genre that she writes.

Taming Zane is the second book in the Almost Perfect Series by Lisa Lanay. Lisa Lanay’s characters are complex and very lovable. The story line is engaging and simple. It is the simple things that make the world go around. It is refreshing to read a book that can pull into the story and take you away from the real world troubles for a while. This is a romance story with some humor to the story. Shannon and Zane is the couple in this story. Their story is one of sacrifice, love, and fate. Can Shannon and Zane become the cutest book couple or will the sacrifices be too much for their relationship.

Before the Second Show by Thia Finn was an excellent and addicting romance novel. I could not put this book down. I loved the characters Emmy, Alex, Adam, Marcus, and the rest. They were developed well, relatable, and realistic. The author did an excellent job in describing the look and personality of each. The storyline was easy to follow, organized, and had an easy flow. I laughed, cried, and smiled while reading this book. This was such an excellent novel. I highly recommend it.

Beloved by Pamela DuMond is the third book in the 21st Century Courtesan series. This series keeps getting better but I highly recommend reading the books in order or you will be missing out. Evie is a highly paid courtesan down to her last four customers. She excels at her job of fixing these broken, billionaire men. These men all have a different relationship with her which makes for some interesting interactions. I enjoyed getting more concerning the relationships especially between Evie and Easton Wolfe. There is depth to the characters which I did not expect when I originally picked up the first book in the series. I look forward to more from this series in the future.
