The Lord is lust is back again with another short, hot read! I really like this author; he never fails to entertain me with his hot and sultry reads! There is an undeniable attraction between Elizabeth and her son’s best friend! It might be a taboo subject for some people but the chemistry between the two of them was off the charts! This might have been a short read but it had everything in and more to make an exciting read! If you are looking for a short read with a good spice level then Forbidden Desire is the book for you!!

Why is the 2nd book in the Stalker Series by Megan Mitcham. It can be read as a stand-alone but there is a little bit of a continuation from the previous book but not any significant amount that it would affect your enjoyment or understanding of the book. Like the first book in this series it is a fantastic psychological thriller with a romantic aspect to it. Having read the first book I was really looking forward to reading Genevieve’s story and I have to say that I was gripped from the very first chapter. This book is very different from the first book but it is equally thrilling and full of suspense. The story starts with top attorney Genevieve Holst, famous for prosecuting criminals, working on a case to defend her friend and boss when he is accused of murdering his wife and children. What leads on from here is a story that will have you on the edge of your seat and your heart in your mouth as Genevieve struggles to deal with the outcome and the aftermath of the trial. The romantic interest comes in the form of Detective Owen Graham who was part of the prosecution at the trial and therefore an adversary who later becomes someone that Genevieve can rely on for support. I really loved this book. It was great seeing into the lives of Larkin, Marlis and Libby again too. I’d really like to see more of these girls and hope that there will be more to come from this series.

I wasn’t certain what to expect with this book. Dystopian novels are not my usual read. This book was pleasantly surprising. While it did take me a couple of chapters to get into it, when I did, I couldn’t put it down. I loved the world this author created. You feel as if you are right there in it as you follow Thea on her journey as a refugee. There are emotional moments in the book, as well as suspense, danger, and romance. Overall, a great read. 😊

After reading the first book in this series I was so excited to get stuck into the second, it did not disappoint. The story picks up where book one finishes. I would recommend reading them in order to be able to follow the story properly. Whilst this book is only a hundred pages or so it does not fall flat or seem rushed, it’s packed with twist and turns and certainly enough fantasy to keep you gripped from beginning to end. Another great addition to a brilliant new series. Thank you Mina Chara.

The second in an epic high fantasy series. Again, incredibly detailed world-building, although I’d probably read the first book before this one. Lots of action, great character development, and an interesting storyline. Definitely an engrossing read.

All three books in this set are great reads, although I probably wouldn’t read them all in one go (I rarely ever do), but they can also be standalone. They’re romantic comedies but the characters are interesting, passionate people. They’re likable and relatable. I loved the wit and humour. These are easy reads I’d recommend.

Midnight in the House of Lang is a dystopian romance by Bree M Lewandowski. It is my first read by this writer and as I fell in love with dystopian world after Hunger Games (novels NOT the movies, people!!!) then I decided to pick up Midnight in the House of Lang after reading the synopsis. Midnight in the House of Lang was different from any of the other dystopian novels I have read so far, it had more romance then any of the other ones I had read, it had some steam-punk elements that was also something I had not encountered before in the stories I had read … I loved how the writer was spinning the tale of the far future ravaged by war and natural catastrophes and how the humanity had to revert back to horse drawn carriages and steam power. The world seems so real that sometimes I thought to myself ‘Thank Goodness I will not be alive to experience it myself’ and then realizing that hey, I am ‘just’ reading a book … The couple in the midst of romance is the granddaughter of the Emperor, Thea Lang, and Captain Irek Surov who is fighting for Russia. They meet when Thea and her elder brother are refugees after having had to flee from Austria to the safety of Belarus, and so the writer starts to paint a beautiful picture in this crazy scary world … pick a picture by one of the great painters of 17th/18th century and overlay it with steam punk and maybe, just maybe you are able to imagine the world they inhabit! Come along and keep in mind that it is ‘just’ a book!

Southern Promises: The Complete Series (A Contemporary Romance Standalone Box Set) By K.G. Fletcher 5 out of 5 stars
This is an amazing box set. It has three stories that pulled me in from the beginning and didn’t let me go until the final page. Each story has wonderful main characters that I loved reading about. There is chemistry/attraction between them that is undeniable. There is romance, sparks and passion. Will Katie and Clay, Hartford and Gia, as well as Jessica and Tim get an HEA? Read these stories to find out. The books had my emotions going up and down the entire time I was reading them. I enjoyed the bantering/flirting that goes on between the main characters. I also enjoyed reading about the additional characters that interact with them. The stories have scenes that will tug at your heart as well as ones that are romantic and make the temperature in the room rise. I highly recommend reading these books.

Every Last Psycho: A Collection of Two Novellas By Zarina Macha 5 out of 5 stars
The book Every Last Psycho: A Collection of Two Novellas are two tales with two very interesting main characters. The first one is Tess Davis. She is in the story Every Last Thought. Tess is a young girl who has schizophrenia triggered by the death of her twin brother. She is trying to survive, and this story tells about her downward spiral after living through a horrible trauma, as well as discovering that her best friend, Ed, who she is in love with, has a new girlfriend. Will she be able to stop the spiral? Tess is a character that I grew to like. I also liked her friend Ed. He does his best to try to help Tess no matter what. In the second story, you meet Evelyn Baxter. She is a young girl who I found to be independent, confident, and always seems to get her way. What will happen when she is not accepted into the University of Cambridge and another girl is? What is really behind the perfect mask that Evelyn wears? This is a dark tale that had me turning pages. Both of these stories take you on a journey that you will not soon forget. I know I thought about them even after I had finished the last page. This author does an amazing job of creating both storylines and characters that are unforgettable. This is a book that I would recommend reading.

Anger (Hero High book 2) by Mina Chara is a 3.5 star read. Friday Fitzsimmons is still trying to figure her way around Hero High and the camera’s, the new Dr Dangerous is hell bent on finding his place as a villain and making sure Friday is in the middle of his plans. Making new friends along the way Friday is trying to stop her anxiety worries getting in the way of her time at hero high. There was a little more excitement in this book but it still fell a little flat for me, but when I picked up the book I didn’t put it down until I was finished.

If you love the world of magic, mystery and great characters you will love Of Magic and Scale by Natalina Reis. The story follows Aiden a laid back person who is looking to relax and chill in life until he meets the stoic character of Nael.
Nael is a protector for his little sister but when he gets put as prime suspect in the murders which have been discovered he enlists the help of a unlikely character in Aiden, but Nael has a secret and will this affect their relationship if found out. Will they discover who is committing these hideous crimes you will have to read the book. The with the interaction of the secondary characters this makes for a really entertaining book.
The chemistry between these two characters is great from the first time they meet and the story is a great read. You will turning the pages frantically to get to the next chapter and the writing brings the characters to life. I really enjoyed this book and this is not the first book I have read by Natalina and will not be the last.

Jake the Growling Dog Goes to Doggy Daycare by Samantha Shannon is quite a cute, feel-good children’s book, that is suitable for all ages. I am always looking for books to read with my grandson, so when this showed up on my feed it looked like something he would enjoy, so I took the chance and grabbed a copy. We have read the book together several times now, over video calling due to the social distancing imposed at this time, and he has really enjoyed it. It’s a cute and sweet read with wonderful lessons. The illustrations are interesting, colourful, and beautifully drawn- They really brought the ‘story’ to life and added some brightness to the book. A great little story with a wonderful message.

Southern Promises: The Complete Series: (A Contemporary Romance Standalone Box Set) by K.G. Fletcher. When I noticed that this series had released as a box set, I knew I needed to reread them!! I loved these books individually, so this box set is a really fantastic opportunity to get three fantastic books for one great price. This is such a wonderful contemporary romance series, with three beautiful stories which could be read as a standalone- but why would you want to stop at just one? The series comprises of:
–Georgia Clay (Book #1) – A Friends to Lovers Romance –Georgia On My Mind (Book #2) – An Opposites Attract Romance –Georgia Pine (Book #3) – A Second Chance Sports Romance
Here are my individual reviews for the books to give you a little snippet of what you can expect from the books:
GEORGIA CLAY (BOOK #1)
Georgia Clay is the first book in the Southern Promises Seriesby K.G Fletcher. This story is sweet, spicy, emotive, romantic, and so well written. I loved Clay and Katie, they really were made for each other. I also loved the music theme woven through the story. I’m not a huge country music fan, but I can appreciate it- but after reading this story and then listening to the song at the end of the book, I can honestly say I wanted to go to Nashville and hang out. Katie Parker is a successful Insurance Broker who lives to work. She loves her job and has worked hard to climb the corporate ladder and make a name for herself in the industry. She hasn’t had much luck in the relationship department, preferring to put her time into her work instead. She rarely takes time for herself, but dreams of one day travelling to far flung places. The story starts when she is on a rare night out to attend her 10-year high school class reunion. Katie’s really only going because her best friend Stacey wouldn’t let her back out. She’s certainly not expecting to bump into someone who takes her breath away. Clay Watkins is an award-winning song writer, with numerous hits under his belt. His song writing has proven to be very lucrative and he’s sitting pretty. Clay is only attending the reunion in the hope of seeing Katie again. He had a huge crush on her in high school and he’s curious to see her again. When these two reconnect, they spend a wonderful night under the stars that neither would soon forget. But, they both have commitments that will take them in different directions, could they make a long-distance relationship work? You really should read this fabulous book for yourself, it is a real ‘feel good’ story. When I got to the end of this book, I discovered ‘the’ song mentioned in the story really exists! I found out that Ms. Fletcher wrote the song herself and sang on the recording! She’s one talented lady. A fantastic author, a beautiful singer AND an amazing songwriter!! There is a link at the end of the book to listen to “What Would Happen If”… This is the book that started my K.G Fletcher addiction… and the series only gets better from here!!!
GEORGIA ON MY MIND (BOOK #2)
5 Stars
Georgia On My Mind is the second book in the Southern Promises Series by K.G Fletcher. I am really loving this sweet, romantic series! The first book was sublime, but this book is even better! It is an erotic, funny, emotive, and romantic story that had me hooked right from the beginning. It was so easy to read and very easy to love. Gia and Hartford (Hart) are wonderful, complex characters that grabbed me immediately and pulled me into their story….. And what a really great story it is! Full of spicy, sexy details that sizzled off the pages- with secrets, lies, regrets, and drama- adding even more interest to this fabulous story. Hartford Parker is Katie’s brother (Georgia Clay Book #1) who has moved back to town after a scandalous situation left his life in tatters. He’s been house-sitting at his sisters’ home, while she is away on tour with her boyfriend, licking his wounds and trying to figure out his next move. He is a little lost and doesn’t know what to do to get back in ‘the game’. The last thing he expects is to have his drive and determination reawakened by an incredibly beautiful Marilyn Monroe impersonator. A simple cup of coffee with this stunning woman turns his world on end. The more he gets to know her, the more he wants to help her. She’s incredibly independent, but he’s determined to help her no matter how much she might object. Will meeting Hart be the beginning of a bright future for Gia, or will a terrible mistake cost her this chance at love? Brilliant!!! Bring on Book #3!!!
GEORGIA PINE (BOOK #3)
5 Stars
Georgia Pineis the third (and Final) book in the Southern Promises Series by K.G Fletcher. I adore this series and can’t believe that it is finished! I really hope I am wrong because I am not ready to say goodbye to these fabulous characters and the wonderful stories that Ms. Fletcher has created. Each book slightly eclipses the last, making this a very memorable series. I didn’t think it would be possible for me to love a story or the characters more than I loved the last book, Georgia On My Mind (Hart and Gia’s story)- but once again Ms. Fletcher proved me wrong and had me falling in love with the story and the characters before I’d even got one chapter in- when she had me in tears before I had even gotten to the end of the first chapter, I knew I was in for an absolutely captivating story- and she certainly delivered everything I had hoped for, and more! This book could be read as a standalone, but I can’t recommend the other books highly enough- they really are worth the read and help set the tone and feel for the series as a whole. We met Jessica in the previous book and my heart had ached for what she experienced- so I really wanted her to find true happiness in this book and I was intrigued to see what Ms. Fletcher had in store for her. In this book we find Jessica a year on from the life changing events of the previous instalment. She’s newly divorced, still reeling, and quite lost. She’s had no time to really grieve for the end of her marriage as she has four adorable little girls who need her now more than ever. But she’s been struggling since her world fell apart and she’s not sure how to stitch it back together again and get everything back on track. She feels like she has failed her daughters and herself, as all her life she’d been expected to be perfect, her parents settling for nothing less from their beautiful daughter. She’d been the perfect daughter, the perfect cheerleader, the prefect sorority girl, the perfect friend, then the perfect wife and mother- but that was before her perfect world crumbled out from under her leaving her overwhelmed by disappointment and uncertainty- responsibility and expectation weighed heavily on her shoulders. Feeling extremely vulnerable and out of her depth, she gave in to her emotions, and was completely shocked when a tender giant came to her rescue. He brings some much-needed confidence and balance back into her life, and her world becomes brighter with him in it. Tim McHill has had a huge fall from grace and has retreated across the country to live a simple life, keeping a low profile. He lives in the shadow of his former life expecting that his past will catch up with him eventually. He has no intention of letting anyone in, he’s purposely shut everyone out. But seeing this beautiful, broken young mother falling to pieces tugs at his battered heartstrings and brings out his caring and protective nature. He finds himself drawn into her life, bonding with her cute daughters in the process. All of a sudden, his life has new meaning and he looks forward to the future. But what happens when his secret is discovered? When mother nature throws a dangerous curve-ball, will they find a way through the storm, or will it destroy any chance of a future? What happens when his true identity is revealed for the world to see? All this and more can be discovered between the covers of this delightful book! The story is soooo romantic- very touching, heart-warming, emotional, funny, suspenseful, heart-stopping, sweet, adorable, passionate, and fun. Like the other two books in the series, this is really well written, and the characters are so endearing, I became hooked right from the beginning. It was so easy to read that I zipped through it in a few hours. These complex characters had me so emotionally invested in them and their wonderful story- they really had a beautiful connection and incredibly sizzling chemistry- their story is full of sexy, steamy and swoon worthy details that really sizzled off the pages. Then there were the adorable girls who added an extra element of adorableness to the whole story. I loved how Tim connected with them right away and how wonderful he was with them- it made my heart go pitter-pat!! But there was also a bit of a mystery to the story, with Tim’s past- and some danger, suspense and a little drama were added, which took this story to a whole new exciting level! This is such a brilliant addition to the series, and most definitely my pick of the three. I really hope we get to see more of these characters in the future- I would love to read Stuart’s story, and Jacques and Elizabeth’s story also. Hint, Hint- Ms. Fletcher!! TOUCHDOWN!!!
So- what are you waiting for, grab yourself a copy of the box set and dive in- you won’t be disappointed. But, be prepared to develop a K.G Fletcher addiction- the series is just that good, you will soon be looking for more of Ms. Fletcher’s work to devour. Love really does win out in the end!

Of Magic and Scales is a spicy take on the thriller genre! The author had me captured from the first chapter and I finished this book in a couple hours simply because I just couldn’t put it down! I love the chemistries and relationships in this book very much and I definitely reccomend giving this book a read! I personally haven’t read or seen a M/M story before, but was pleasantly surprised. Rise (The Larussio Legacy, #2) by Via Mari was a great 5 star read.
Gio and Kate are moving forward with the casino in Vegas.. While heading home to see Serena, Gio is on the phone with her when he hears explosions and then screaming. Luckily his team gets there and gets Serena and her Nonna out safely. Gio has arranged for Serena and Nonna to be taken to his home on his jet when another explosion erupts and causes more chaos. Things get crazier from here and I was on the edge of my seat.
Are they after Gio or Serena? And why?
Overall I really enjoyed this book, I was pulled in right from the beginning. There is danger, action, betrayal, hot sex and so much more. I felt bad that Nonna lost her home with all her memories. Gio loves Serena and is determined to protect her. My emotions were all over the place. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series and get more from this couple. 1-click and get started today.

I enjoyed this book although it’s hard for me to think of a time when I don’t enjoy save the world kind of stories. In High Fae Academy Year One, by Kaylin Peyerk, it’s not that Tiana doesn’t know who she is, but she certainly doesn’t know about any prophecy. Until of course Orin enters her life. Then that all changes. First it seems like this was going to be one of those fluffy little hot and steamy books but it was quite refreshing to see that it didn’t actually go there. Although the relationships in this story are intense they are all part of building the story. Good characters good world building and a killer of an ending. You won’t want to miss the second book, I know I don’t.
Wow does this author have a gift or what?! This book, well you’ll need to read the first book before this one as it answers questions from the first and I like to get the story in order. I really love these 2, Gio and Serena! I think I melted my kindle a bit and I’m ok with that. I have so much to say but also can’t put it into words that make sense lol. Pick this book up, you won’t regret it. Promise!

Romance in Rehoboth Boxed Set (Books 4-6): A Small Town Romantic Comedy Series by K.L. Montgomery
I loved each one of these books, and am so glad they are being sold in a boxed set. Each of these are standalone stories with their own wonderful characters. Ms. Montgomery is an exceptional author that writes such realistic stories that are emotionally driven. I enjoyed all these books for different reasons but each of them take you on a journey of love and the fight that it sometimes takes to get there. I can’t say enough good things about these three books, Badge Bunny, Wedding War, and Stage Mom, but I will say they are a must read. The characters are so realistic and I found that I became invested in their happiness. I highly recommend this boxed set.

High Fae Academy: Year One is the first in the series by Kaylin Peyerk. I really enjoyed reading this story! Besides it being my favorite genre, I was intrigued by the world and the magic. I did think the character development could be better, but I look forward to reading more about these characters. The story ends on a cliff hanger, so I’m hopeful we’ll get more character back stories and growth. I can’t wait to see how the story progresses.
Romance in Rehoboth Boxed Set (Books 4-6) by K.L. Montgomery, includes Badge Bunny, Wedding War, and Stage Mom. Each of these stories can be read as a standalone but there are interconnected characters.
Badge Bunny (book 4) – cop meets ER doc and boy do they bump heads. Wedding War (book 5) – two rival families trying to save wedding businesses – fall in love? Stage Mom (book 6) – a single mom with a daughter meets a nice guy.
These books will have you giggling over the crazy shenanigans but you are guaranteed a Happily-Ever-After. I might have to say these three are Rom-Coms are just what every romance reader needs to read.

Sweet Salvation by Toya Richardson is the third book in the Protectors Series. This book can be read as a stand-alone although I can see how it would be beneficial to read them in order. This was an interesting book to read. It was well written and developed well. Although it is a typical story of mates the story itself is much more unique than that. The characters were what drew me into this book. It felt like they went through so much. They were connected with each other and me and the reader. This is a new author to me but I definitely enjoyed her writing. Her writing style was one that was easy reading. This was a great introduction to this author and I will certainly look into more of her work.

Descendants of Time and Death by Winnifred Tataw was a good novel. It didn’t grab me like I thought it would. This is the first novel I’ve read by this author, and the reason it probably didn’t grab my attention like I wanted and confused me was probably because I haven’t read the first book in the series. I did enjoy reading this novel, I just probably should have read the first installment before I read this one. There was a great storyline and characters, just again I wasn’t pulled in like I thought I would be from the synopsis I read. I can’t wait to read more from this author!

Baba Ali and the Clockwork Djinn: A Steampunk Faerie Tale By Danielle Ackley-McPhail and Day Al-Mohamed 5 out of 5 stars
The story Baba Ali and the Clockwork Djinn: A Steampunk Faerie Tale by Danielle Ackley-McPhail and Day Al-Mohamed is a wonderful book to read. It pulls you in right from the beginning and doesn’t let you go until the final page. It is a story that has adventure, danger, and magic. It is a book which tells the story of Ali bin-Massoud and how in one night in which he receives a mysterious box, his life is never the same. I found that I liked the character of Ali bin-Massoud and wanted him to succeed in unraveling the mysteries of a puzzle box and the clockwork djinn. He finds himself summoned home after the death of his father. He has to beware of thieves and those who wish to do him harm. Will he realize his destiny? Read the full story to see what happens to Ali bin-Massoud. The book is never boring and very entertaining. It is written in such a way that I felt I was right there with the characters. Many additional characters are introduced, and they are helpful to Ali bin-Massoud. There are also those whose only thought is of themselves. This is a wonderful book that will take you from England to the sands of the desert. I would recommend reading it.

Forbidden Desires by L.M. Mountford is the first book in the Confessions of a Trophy Wife series. This is short but steamy story that will definitely leave you wanting more. This author has packed such a punch into this book. You are hooked right from the start. I could completely empathise with the main character and the way her life has progressed. This is one of those guilty pleasure type books that I just couldn’t put down. This is a brilliant read and one I would recommend.

5 Star Romance in Rehoboth Boxed Set (Books 4-6): A Small Town Romantic Comedy Series by K.L. Montgomery
I absolutely loved this boxed set . This Author never ceases to amaze me with her amazing style of writing and her characters are always relatable . I yet again found myself lost in the pages of this boxed set which I devoured in two evenings. I had to know what was going to happen next. In this boxed set we get three amazing stories, first up(#4) is Badge Bunny and We get Chris and Brynne ,he’s a cop and she’s an ER Dr. He gives he a bad first impression from then on she doesn’t like him but her body betrays her. Can these two manage to work together after the squabble all those years ago? Third up (#6)is Stage Mom and its Larissa and Mateo’s story ,she’s a single mom trying to fight for her special needs daughter, and he’s heading up the pageant shes trying to get her daughter into . She Hope’s her daughter to be treated the same as the other pageant contestants. Find out what happens next in these wonderfully written stories. As always I can’t wait to read more from this Author.

I really enjoyed this novel by Kaylin Peyerk. Usually I lean more towards vampire and shifter novels, so this was a bit of a departure for me, delving in the world of Fae. From the beginning with Tiana embracing the Fae she was meant to be to the cliffhanger ending this novel by Kaylin Peyerk was interesting and exciting. It kept my attention from the beginning to the end, which came as a surprise. I look forward to finding out what happens in the next book of this series.
This book was my first by Kaylin Peyerk. I enjoyed the story line quite a bit. I cannot wait for the next book. I finished this in no time at all, couldn’t put it down. This story is about Tiana, a half fae half human who needs to decide what path her life is going to take. The characters you meet along the way are so well thought out that once this book ended my heart hurt for them. A great story along with great character building, this will not be the last book I read from kaylin. Read this book and find out which path Tiana decides to walk down, and if she should or not!

This is a new age adult romance story that I loved. This is not my first book by this author but it is my favorite. This is a well written story that is written with lots of heart and soul. I found myself easily connecting to the characters and falling in love with them. Livy and Jeremy have a strong, solid relationship until life brings a twist to their relationship. Now that they are growing apart, will they find their way back to each other? Is their love strong enough to mend their bond and restore what they once had? Their story is one of love and healing. This story took me on an emotional roller coaster ride which kept me turning pages fast. I highly recommend this must read story and this author.
