Fall: The Ragnarök Prophesies: Book 2. By A.K Morgen.

I truly loved reading this book, I did start on book two and have just purchased the first to tie up a few questions I have but, I do love me a bit of Norse Mythology, this book is a perfect combination of that and good old fashioned Fantasy and a little bit of romance thrown in for good measure, what more could a girl ask for? The author kept my attention fully from beginning to end, really looking forward to reading more books from A.K Morgen. Thanks for a brilliant read.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Fall: The Ragnarök Prophesies by A.K. Morgen is the second book in the series. I somehow did not notice the number two and jumped right into the middle of the story. I enjoyed this book so much that I am going back to book one to see what I missed. The story must pick up to where the first book ended. Arionna and Dace are emotional characters with a lot on the line. Will they make decisions that will benefit the many or the few?
I have really enjoyed the ride of a story and the characters as they are further developing. This book has a lot going for it. The story is well constructed, interesting characters with depth, and more. I look forward to going back to the first book and also reading more from this author in the future.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

St Nick’s Christmas Wish is the 7th book in the Hot Hunks Steamy Romance Collection. It is written by Tamara Ferguson who has become a favourite of mine in recent months since I discovered her wounded warriors series. When I started to read this book I had no idea that it was linked to this series and this was a very pleasant surprise.
I really enjoyed this book, the characters are fantastic and the storyline really grabs you and keeps you wanting to keep going and see what happens next. As well as the romance between main characters Nick and Emma there is an intriguing storyline regarding Nick’s childhood running along at the same time.
As well as Nick and Emma, there is a great cast of secondary characters, in Nick and Emma’s friends who I’m sure may become the main characters in future books by Tamara Ferguson. With the insights we got into these other characters, I am looking forward to reading more about them.
I also really enjoyed the crossover with the wounded warrior books and getting to revisit some favourite characters again.

Being Lost: Satan’s Devils MC San Diego #1
By Manda Mellett
4 out of 5 Stars
MC books are a hit or miss with me. This isn’t a genre that I can identify with or really understand, however, Being Lost, by Manda Mellett is a fantastic book to get started for someone who is looking to cut their teeth on an MC series. These are not your typical heroes and heroines. The main male character is much older than the other books that I read, but I like a silver fox with a plan, and Lost is just that fox. Lost has found himself in charge of the wellbeing of a mature woman and her adult son. They are in danger and the more Lost and Patsy get to know each other, the less he can stomach the thought of something happening to her.
Mellett is a fantastic storyteller. She brings depth and life to both character and story. You will not regret picking up this book and starting this series. 4 out of 5 stars. A must-read.

Blessed: Academy of Seraph By Brandi Elledge

Mrs. Elledge has done a fantastic job writing this book! She captured my attention from the beginning and had it to the end. I found it hard to put it down.

Gabriella, a teenage girl, has been running for the last two years. When she’s finally caught up to she’s taken to one of the academies. She’s told not to trust anyone because you never know which side they’ll choose. The quote I choose for Gabriella is: “Maka? You’ve called me that before what does it mean?”

Finn, the commander for one of the academies, catches up to Gabriella. There he finds that there’s more to her than meets the eye. He then finds himself drawn to her and finds himself protecting her. The quote I choose for Finn is: “It wouldn’t be important to anyone else. They took it because they are trying to figure me out.”

I really advise anyone who’s reading this to be ready to laugh. This book had me on the edge of my seat waiting to find out what happens next. I highly recommend this for anyone who loves a good laugh.

Hands down one of the best books I’ve read all year- if not ever!!! Honestly if I could give it more stars I would!!! I CAN NOT WAIT TO GET MY HANDS ON THE NEXT BOOK/S!!!!

Blessed: Academy of the Seraph is the first book in the new Academy of the Seraph series by the supremely talented Brandi Elledge. I absolutely LOVE Ms. Elledge’s books- she is one of my favourite authors- on the top 5 list- so it was a given that I would be reading this story. But to say I was blown away is an understatement- I couldn’t have loved it more than I do! I have read it twice already- and will read it again before the next book releases in a few months time- that’s how good it is!
This book has a little bit of The Mortal Instruments feel to it- but with its own identity and originality. The way this series is shaping up, it is set to be exceptional!!! I am so excited to see what lays ahead. I have a serious addiction to Ms. Elledge’s stories now, and I need my next fix like STAT!
“Blessed” is a multilayered extravaganza of a fantasy that captured me right from the first page- I couldn’t have put it down, even if I’d wanted to- it is completely spellbinding!!! The story is woven around angels and demons, immortals, magic, action, adventure, prophecy, secrets, humour, taco’s, unicorns and puppies (you need to read the story to get the reference to the last three 😊).
I really don’t want to give too much away, because you really should read all the exciting details for yourself. So, I will just give you a basic run down- a little taste of what to expect. Gabriella Arien is what they call ‘blessed’- as in touched by angels kind of blessed. There is also a war raging between the angels and the fallen and their demons. There are two Academies looking to recruit new ‘soldiers’- The Seraph Academy (Angel Academy) and the Empowered Academy (the Darken/Fallen Academy). There are compulsory trials held regularly to pick/find new recruits who have been ‘touched’, then gauge their level of power before being trained. Gabriella has managed to avoid the last few trials as she wants no part of the academy, or the war. But she is finally forced to attend, and so her adventure begins. She will soon discover that there is far more to her, to the Academy of Seraph, and to the whole situation than she could ever have imagined. As danger begins stalking her, she is going to have to decide who should she trust? And can she keep under the radar long enough to figure things out? With betrayal, politics, power plays, hidden agendas, magnetic chemistry, and an incredible adventure- this story is truly a riveting read!! I can not recommend it highly enough!!!
Brilliant!!!!

Thank you, Brandi Elledge!!!!

I love this author so much, I love that whatever she writes is just wonderful to read. She plans her characters so well and makes them so connectable to the reader. Her writing is so easy to read, I just know when I pick up one of her books I am going to enjoy it and I definitely enjoyed Help Me, Harry. As soon as I started reading about Cassie and Harry I fell in love, they were both genuine characters that I couldn’t help but care about and want the best for them. The first meeting between the two of them I could feel the connection that they had, it did seem really honest and genuine. I thought that they would be perfect for each other. I could tell Harry desperately wanted to shake his player past to convince and show Cassie that he could be the man for her!
A wonderful romance read that I thoroughly enjoyed! As always I look forward to more from this talented author!

When a chance meeting in a bar, can fate really be in the stars.

Nick and his friends are enjoying there holiday, he needed this break as things are getting confusing with him working as a stock broker and also secretly running his family business can he just relax. While in Bali he and his friends meet a group of woman in a bar and that’s when he discovers Emma.

Emma is on holiday with her friends, leaving behind her responsibilities from Crystal Rock for a few weeks is just what the doctor ordered but meeting Nick on his last night of his holiday is just her luck. They have instant chemistry and feels cheated that there encounter was so short.

While away Nick evaluates his life and when a proposal is delivered to him from his friend Jake to run his property company in Crystal Rock. Nick and Jack arrive and run straight into Emma, they can’t believe it. As the story goes through you learn that Nick has secrets and mysteries which he has to uncover to protect both Emma and his family and will he be able to protect them.

I loved this story the character of Emma is of a strong, confident and Independent women who deserves happiness, Nick has always overcome the label of his family but he is humble and kind not the bratty rich kid that normally ends up in this kind of character so he was a breathe of fresh air. It’s always nice to go back to Crystal Rock and love this just as much as the other series. If your looking for a good story line with action and Santa then you need to read this book.

When you think you have the most perfect life but when a trip away ignites something inside you that makes you think do you act on it or keep the peace.

Harry is getting over his divorce and has a love and leave them attitude for his relationships but there is just something about Cassie that has peaked his interest and want to discover what will happen but there’s one problem she is engaged.

As the story goes through the relationship of Harry and Cassie you understand that Cassie is second guessing her love for Evan and is he the guy she wants for the rest of her life, but when news devastates Cassie will Harry be there to pick up the pieces.

I loved this story, Cassie’s character was great and flawed, the relationship she had with Harry was lovely and they became we suited opposites. I thought the story was well written and an easy read, I was routing for them from the beginning and enjoyed every word.

This is not the first book I have read by this author and I recommend this book for a quick, easy read and if you love a happy ever after this is for you.

This was a great little cozy mystery that I read in one sitting. It was so gripping I couldn’t put it down. The characters are well written and their stories easy to follow which makes the books a enjoyable easy read.

Margot was an army chaplain. When she returned to her home an old army buddy invites her to dinner at his home with his family. Who would have guessed this innocent invitation would turn into a murder mystery. Everyone has a motive and a means but who committed the crime. This book will keep you guessing right up until the end and the ending will shock you.

Into the Lion's Den: (A Christian Cozy Mystery) (Reverend Margot Quade Cozy Mysteries Book 1)Into the Lion’s Den: (A Christian Cozy Mystery) by Sarah Biglow
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Into the Lion’s Den is the first book in the Reverend Margot Quade Cozy Mystery series by Sarah Biglow. This is a little different from the other books of Sarah Biglow’s that I have read and enjoyed- but as I love everything crime and mystery, I couldn’t wait to dive in.
Margot Quade has just returned from a tour of duty, serving as Chaplain in her overseas deployment. She has only recently arrived back home, still adjusting to civilian life and trying to find where she belongs now. So, when a fellow ‘brother-in-arms’ who she became friends with whilst in service, invites her over for dinner so he can introduce her to his family- Margot accepts. What should have been a relaxing dinner with an old friend soon turns into a murder investigation, as one of the guests is found dead. Added to the tension is the fact that a severe snowstorm has moved into the area and Margot will be suck at the house with all the other dinner guests, one of whom is the murderer. What happens here makes for a intriguing read.
This is the quintessential ‘cozy mystery’, and I really enjoyed meeting Reverend Margot Quade and following along on her story. I think this is a great start to an intriguing series. I can visualize this making a great television series or movie.
Looking forward to catching up with Margot again in the next book!

Thank you, Sarah Biglow!

A little bit of romance and a lot of suspense. Not for those under 18. But the rest of us MC readers can read this.

Therefore there is a father out there that is bringing trouble to the family. Mother and son go into hiding, for how long? That’s all you get!

This book picks up where the first book of the series, Boundaries, leaves off. Valerie and Tim are planning their wedding when murders start occurring in the area. Tim is tasked with investigating the murders…but Valerie feels like there is a connection among the killings. Will the connection be made before the killer strikes again? (You have to read it to find out)
This book kept me hooked in for two reasons. First, the story is good with twists and turns that keep you wanting to see what happens. Second, the relationship between Valerie and Tim is relatable. There is banter between the two, as well as support for Valerie as she continues to overcome her past. I found myself rooting for her as a person in the first book and I still am in this book. Other characters from the first book make an appearance as well. I look forward to what happens next in this series.

5 stars!
As always from Manda Mellett, another amazing story. We hear about the San Diego chapter of Satan’s Devils in previous books, so having the start to a new series is making me all kinds of happy! The one thing I love about this book is the characters are all older adults, which gives the series more depth in my opinion. In this book we meet Lost and Patsy. Of course both have had troubling pasts and bad previous marriages, but when they meet each other, there is an instant connection. As in previous books from this author, the characters have to overcome something troubling from their past that catches up with them. So of course Lost steps in to protect Patsy. Maybe with his help she can finally stop running from her past that is catching up to her, maybe she can finally relax knowing her children are safe. This book also shows the bond of the brothers in the MC and how close they are with each other and how no matter what happens between any of them they have each other’s back. Lost was really breaking my heart and I was hoping for the best for him, he deserves something good, and he finally finds that in Patsy. I keep thinking how long can this series last? How many more stories can be made and still be different from the last, but every time I pick up another book from the Satan’s Devils series, I am surprised, blown away and I fall in love. I can’t wait to see what is in store next.

I absolutely loved this book as I knew I would because Manda Mellett has yet to ever disappoint me. I am so glad that we will be getting to know characters from the San Diego chapter. This was a great start to a new series. Lost and Patsy are both older characters who have been hurt in the past and aren’t looking for anyone, but they find themselves attracted to each other. They each have insecurities that make them more relatable. Lost has many doubts about his ability to lead. Patsy has doubts about her parenting and if she’s making the right choices. I couldn’t help but get invested in these characters and I just wanted everything to work out for them. To find out their story this is a must read. I highly recommend this book.

Lost Doesn’t have faith in himself and now finds that he’s the president of the club. He’s never sure if he’s making the right decisions. Patsy walks into his life needing protection and he falls head over heels. Patsy needs to stay under the radar with her son but she’s been found. She can’t run anymore but she needs help. She finds that and more with Lost. If she can stay alive maybe they’ll have a future.

This is another winning book by Mandi Mellett. I’ve read her Colorado chapters and they were amazing. This is a fantastic start to her San Diego series. The thing that I loved about this book is the fact that Lost and Patsy are middle aged. Most romance books center around young virile men and women. Life doesn’t stop because you turn fifty. This book shows that life and love go on after your children are fully grown.

OMG! Once again when I thought Manda Mellett couldn’t do it again, she does and my oh my does she do it well!
Every book I read by this author just gets better and better, and this one is no different. I love that coming from one set of books she can spin-off and create other series, and you don’t feel like the stories are being stretched too far!

Each character she brings us, whether we meet them in a previous read or they are a new character to us they are all refreshing, and you can’t help but love each character. Lost’s story is no different. This read really got me. Pasts play a big part in this read for both our main characters and really influences how their present plays out. Like many of our reads from Manda Mellett, we get romance, action, adventure, danger, suspense. Brothers that never back down and always have your back, no matter what! Each book casts you into this storyline and really feels real, and makes you really believe you are there alongside the characters.

I love the pace of this read, you are never lacking in anything which makes it even harder to put the read down! With Lost’s and Patsy’s read giving up an incredible start to a new series I can’t wait to see where else this chapter takes us!

This is a book not to be missed!

Being Lost (Satan's Devils MC San Diego #1)Being Lost by Manda Mellett
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Another great MC novel by Manda Mellett, featuring the ‘Satan’s Devils MC’, this time the San Diego Chapter. This novel concentrates on older couple Lost and Patsy, it’s nice to have a MC romance storyline featuring an older couple for a change. Both of them have had bad past experiences with relationships and so they are wary of love. Lost is the new Prez of the San Diego Satan’s Devils following Snakes mutiny and death. Due to Snakes betrayal Lost is unsure about his new role but the MC members are all looking to him now for guidance. Then he meets Patsy, Patsy has always had to make tough decisions in her life and the latest one was choosing which of her two grown up children needed her help the most. This decision has led her to starting a new life but now they have been found and are on the run again and in danger until Lost comes into her life. Patsy wasn’t looking for a man at her age but she needs protection and feels she can rely on Lost, meanwhile he knows he should tell her to stay away from him but somehow he just can’t. This is a great story, with strong characters, a fast paced storyline and at the heart of it a second chance at love romance. It has drama and suspense but also concentrates on the relationships between the MC members and the women in their lives. I liked how Lost and Patsy’s relationship developed throughout the book and how their chemistry sizzled off the page and led to some steamy scenes between the couple. A great read, and it was nice to meet a new chapter of the Satan’s Devils and I look forward to reading future books in this series.

This book took me by surprise at how good it was but also multilayered. Full of action with the scenarios of her getting justice for herself and the other victims of Eddie’s crimes. Romance with she and Robin that she can have the best of both worlds and this is only the beginning for this duo! There’s a great sense of action from characters out to seek vengeance even in a completely fictional way.

This book is intriguing and fun to read! This book is a page-turner filled with action on each page and great world building in a fantasy land. I’ve enjoyed where it took me in Alice’s adventure. I love to follow the story of where Alice comes from and what she’ll do to rise above it at all costs. The fact that she’s out to set herself apart from her grandpa is truly spectacular and the supernatural fantasy realm is great for exploring your imagination especially with her ghost sidekick, Malcolm.

What a lovely story!! I have read books by this author previously so I was really looking forward to starting this one and I did really enjoy it! I read the story quite quickly and I think that because it was so well written and had a fantastic pace the words just seemed to flow along and it was an easy read. I loved the characters, Chloe and Sebastian! Chloe has such a wonderful nature especially towards animals, she had a connection with them and I really enjoyed watching her and Sebastian form a connection also. The animals in the story were a great addition also; it definitely made the characters feel more connectable for me being an animal lover also. As with all good romance stories there were some twists and turns but deep down I was rooting for Chloe and Sebastian the whole way through!
A fantastic heart-warming read and one that I would highly recommend! I can’t wait to read more from Ms Daniels again!

Being Lost (Satan’s Devils MC San Diego #1) by Manda Mellett – Review by Angelina Frazzini

Being Lost (Satan's Devils MC San Diego #1)Being Lost by Manda Mellett
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Being Lost by Manda Mellett is book one of the Satan’s Devils MC San Diego Series. Manda doesn’t get it wrong with these MC books and this one is no exception!

Lost is feeling the weight of the MC on his shoulders. He didn’t expect to become Prez and now he has to make sure he does right by the club. The Tucson chapter requested that they keep an eye on a woman and her son moving to the area. Lost doesn’t expect Patsy and especially doesn’t think he deserves a chance. Patsy had to make an extremely hard decision when she decided to move away and start a new life with her son. Now, danger is knocking at their door. Patsy has lived her life. She doesn’t need a man. Which makes meeting Lost a surprise for her. Even better because he’s attracted to her too! Patsy is so much stronger than she gives herself credit for. After all, she made an impossible decision and is sticking with it despite the danger she faces. Lost doubts himself at every turn but no way will he let that interfere with his obligations to the club. Will these two work through their issues so they can work on being together?

I couldn’t put this book down. I had to find out what was going to happen next. Patsy and Lost both went through a lot in their lives but still wanted to work through it all to be together. I really enjoyed these characters and this book!
