Who doesn’t love romance??? This was the perfect book for that. Drawn to Him was a book that I could not put down until I read the very last word. This was a quick read for me. Two people not looking or wanting to find love until it is pretty much right in their faces. This story will keep you wondering. I loved Erica and Matt’s story and I can not wait for more from Ms. Mannersly.

Breaking Traditions: The Shifter And The Mage by Madilynn Dale is a sweet paranormal teen love story. Whilst the story is well written, and the plot is good, but it didn’t grab me as well as it could have. It needs more drama or action to give it that something more. The premise is a shifter and has her parents pushing her towards marriage. Alex is a Mage and works his way into her heart but is it enough for the staunch shifter community and where does it all fit with Natalie’s want of a different life?

One Hot Texas Summer (Prentice Brothers of Sweet Ridge #1) by Nicole Flockton was a great 5 star read.
This is Kelly and Tate’s story,I was pulled right in by the authors writing and loved these two.
Tate has taken over the responsibility of his family’s peach farm and it is the site for this year’s Founder’s Day festival. He isn’t looking forward to working with Kelly who is the florist handling the flowers for the festival.
She isn’t thrilled about working with Tate either because of his playboy ways. But as they work together she starts to see a different side to him. They both have been hurt in the past so they each had some things to work through. You can feel the chemistry from these two coming off the pages.
Overall I really enjoyed this book. I really like how independent and strong both Kelly and Tate were. They were perfect for each other, I had some LOL moments when they would banter with each other. Of course we get some ups and downs and small town drama. If you’re looking for a great read I highly suggest this book. I look forward to reading more from this author.

I really like historical romance so I thought I would go out of my comfort zone and try a historical mystery book and I have to say I really enjoyed it. Whilst it did take a little time to get into the story was richly detailed and well written. I have read work by the author previously so it was good to read something by her again. I really enjoyed the setting of the story and enjoyed the history that the author brought to the book. The characters were great to read about; in fact it was an enjoyable read overall and definitely one that I would recommend.

This book wasn’t exactly what I was expecting. It had more suspense and a little bit of drama that I didn’t anticipate. I enjoyed that a lot.
The characters are well written, and I can’t wait to see where this story is going to go. I was able to listen to it all at one time and I was thankful for that because I didn’t have to remember what part of the suspense/drama I left off with.
This is a first time read (listen) from this author and I will have to check out her other work.
If you like some suspense and some steamy scenes, this book is for you!

I cannot wait to read more books from this author! Being my first read from her, I didn’t know what to expect but I’m so glad that I picked up this read. This read had everything I love in a good fantasy read, from witches, magic, creatures and adventure, then to top it off it has romance. This is a brilliant creative read, that is mentally visual and you can’t help but picture everything in your mind while reading it, which then really makes you believe you are there alongside the characters. I found this book easy to read, and I easily became captivated with the story and couldn’t put it down, the next thing I know I’ve finished the book and left wanting more. I absolutely loved the characters and I loved following their journey throughout this read. I highly recommend this book and can’t wait to see what else this author brings to this series and what other worlds I can be captivated by!

This is a book that had my emotions going up and down the entire time I was reading it. The story is written in such a way that I felt like I was right there with Sarah as she describes her life. I couldn’t help but be impressed with how Sarah adapted to the situations that she came to be in, and I found her story an honest and intriguing one. Don’t miss out on an amazing story that will have you not wanting to put it down until the final page. I highly recommend reading it.

I loved reading the book Drawn to Him by Tammy Mannersly. It is a story that hooked me in from the beginning and I just couldn’t put it down. It is a wonderful romance book that will warm and touch your heart. I loved the characters of Erica Townsend and Dr. Matthew Garrick. Erica is an intelligent, independent woman who has learned from the past that resisting love is the way to not get her heartbroken. Matthew is a new doctor in town who has not found the right woman for him. Then he meets Erica. There is an instant attraction when they meet. There are sparks and chemistry that can’t be denied. Will Erica give Matthew a chance to show her how much he has fallen for her? What will happen when a secret admirer gets thrown into the mix? Will there be a HEA? Read this book to find out. This is a story that had my emotions going up and down the entire time I was reading it. I grew to care about Erica and Matthew and wanted them to find happiness. There are very romantic moments as well as times when I was smiling and laughing out loud at the interactions between the characters. I enjoyed reading about Erica and Matthew’s best friends and the support that they provided. Don’t miss out on an exciting, at times mysterious, and entertaining story. I would highly recommend reading it.

In The Arms Of Morpheus: A Speculative Romance is the second book in the Antiheroes series by Gaia B. Amman. Ms. Amman is one of my go to authors and when this book popped up I couldn’t wait to read it. This book had me hooked from the very first page. I couldn’t put it down and finished it in one sitting. This book is sci-fi and romance rolled into one.
Tasha and Josh are the main characters. They have great chemistry and are highly entertaining to read about. I felt myself wanting to read more to find out what would happen next and to slow down and savor it. You know which one won out.
If you like Sci-Fi and Romance this is the perfect book for you! This book can be reed as a standalone, but I recommend you read the first book in the series first.

One Hot Texas Summer by Nicole Flockton

I love a good romance that has classic push and pull between the two leads from page one. Flockton does a beautiful job establishing the conflict early as we follow our heroine and the possible lady’s man that is the peach farm owner’s son. I loved the setting that this story took place in and it’s charm extended from its festival to each resident in the town. I fell quickly into this story and found this book to be an extremely pleasing and easy read. If you love a good romance, you’ll truly love this work.

I loved this book. I felt immediately transported to a place and time that simply fascinates me. I adore good historical fiction. Couple that with a crime/suspense theme and needless to say I found a novel to dive nose first into and one I simply didn’t put down until I read the last page. I thoroughly enjoyed the story that unfolded and found the author to put together a complete story that visually transported me into each page. Highly recommended.

Her Blackened Soul is the first book in The Blackened Series by Isra Sravenheart. This is quite an original story, with a bit of a fairytale-esque feel to it. It stands apart from other ‘fairytale’ type stories in that it is all about the ‘villain’. It is a fantasy- a paranormal romance with magic, a powerful dark witch, drama, and more.
Lady Isra is a powerful witch- with a bit of a black heart. Yes, she’s dark- but she is full of complexities which we discover along the way. She has serious trust issues, and a taste for revenge. What happens here makes for an interesting read.
Whilst I did enjoy the story, it was a little slow to get going and lagged at times though the story- disrupting the pace and pulling me out of the story. I really wanted to love this book because it is one of my favourite genres- and the premise held so much promise. But I have had a crazy week, so maybe it was just me, and so I will revisit this book at a later date to see if I still feel the same way, or if I was just having an off day.

The Trouble With Paradise is the fourth book in the Madeline Dawkins series by Cynthia Hamilton. I am soooooooooo in love with this series- hands down one of the best discoveries I have made this year!!!! This is one of those series that you can read over and over again and never tire of it. After reading the first book and loving it so much, I was compelled to go on a one-click spree for any other books that I could find in the series. I ended up reading the series back to back, and several times over- that’s how much I enjoyed them.
I went into this book with extremely high expectations because all the previous books were so brilliant- so part of me was a little trepidatious about reading it, wondering if Cynthia Hamilton could sustain the momentum and deliver another thrilling mystery. So, I am thrilled to say that I should never have doubted her as this book is every bit as wonderful and brilliant as the previous books- setting my anticipation levels on high for the release of Book Five!!!
The story is so cleverly woven with intriguing mystery, suspense, drama, engrossing developments, action, danger, tension, romance, emotion, and so much more. Cynthia Hamilton once again puts Madeline and Mike through their paces- weaving a smart and thought provoking mystery infused with a dangerous tension that kept me on the edge of my seat for most of the story.
This story takes place four months after the events of the previous book. Madeline and Mike end up with two cases involving grieving widows who need help to uncover what really happened to their husbands. One widow is in jail, charged with the murder of her older, wealthy husband. But did she really kill him? And if not, then what really happened? The other widow wants to prove that her husband’s death definitely wasn’t suicide. But, what will our detectives discover? As I have come to expect from Cynthia Hamilton, nothing is ever simple. She always manages to weave a complex, multilayered mystery with more than a few twisty surprises to get me sitting up and really paying attention. Add in the fact that Madeline’s snake of an ex is now released from prison, had me wondering what he was up to, and when he would make his move. He seems to have turned over a new leaf- but Madeline (and I) know better- and just how underhanded and vile he can be. So what unfolds makes for quite a thrilling read!
As I have mentioned previously, I think The Madeline Dawkins books would make a fantastic television series- reminding me a lot of the old Moonlighting series with Cybil Shephard and Bruce Willis- but with more danger, excitement, and a modern ‘feel’.
So, if you love a cleverly crafted and thrilling mystery then what are you waiting for! Grab yourself a copy and dive in- but be prepared to develop an addiction to Cynthia Hamilton’s stories- you may find that one book will never be enough.
I am so desperate to find out what’s in store for Maddie and Mike- especially after the way this book ended! So, bring on Book Five!!! SQUEEEEEEE!!!! I can’t wait!

In The Arms of Morpheus: A Speculative Romance (Antiheroes Series Book 2) by Gaia B Amman was a romantic mysterious read. I loved the intricate plot, I felt like I was really on my toes while reading it. I loved Tasha from the get go, so is so grounded in her way of life that you can’t wait to see her develop. Josh got off on my bad side but overtime grew on me. I enjoyed the pacing and the story telling was just fantastic. I felt all the emotions at the right time.

I found Breaking Traditions a great story. Madilynn Dale has a great mind for detail. Her description paints a beautiful picture that I could see in my mind’s eye. Her characters are fully developed. I found that this story has some twists and turns which enhanced the story. I found myself asking if I could break my family tradition or do what I want to do to be happy. Those is the questions for Natalie. She wants to own her own bakery one day, but her parents want her to be a stay at home mom. She falls in love with Alex, but as a shifter, she needs to follow her traditions. What will Natalie do? Will she follow her heart or her family traditions? I highly recommend this book to find out the answers to these questions and more.

One thing I like about Nicole Flockton’s books is that they are short love stories. She tells the story with enough information to fall in love with her characters and the town around it. Her characters are simple people that makes you want to find out more about them. Her description paints a picture for you to see the romance starting as a bud blossoming into the rose. This story is about Kelly and Tate. Kelly is the town’s florist who has been asked to run the town’s festival. She is excited to take on this challenge. The only problem is that she has to work with Tate. He is known to be the town’s “player”. Kelly has been hurt by a serial cheater. She starts having feelings for Tate but will she give in to her feelings or stand her ground. Tate is taking care of his father who is recovering from a stroke. His brother puts his family farm in the place of holding the town’s festival. Will Kelly be able to keep focus and not let her feelings out about Tate? Will Tate be able to take care of his Dad and help host the festival? Will Tate fall for Kelly and prove that his “player” days are over? I highly recommend this book to find out the answers to these questions.

One Hot Texas Summer (Prentice Brothers of Sweet Ridge Book 1) by Nicole Flockton. I loved this book. It was a short read but kept me turning the pages as fast as I could. Its the story of Kelly Turner who has ended up back in Sweet Ridge, Texas after a messy breakup and a horribly boring accounting job in Houston. She is so glad to be back close to her Mom and friends. She has opened a flower shop called “This Bud is for you” and its doing terrific. When one of her best friends Macy asks her to manage a Satellite site for the Town’s annual Founder’s Day Festival she can’t say no. Then she finds out its located at Prentice Peach Farms where the infamous Tate Prentice is running the Farm. She has thought a lot about Tate and even had some dreams about him but he’s known for his playboy ways so she knows he’s the last thing she needs. When they start working together Tate is infatuated with Kelly and wants to prove to her he’s not what everyone says he is. Kelly is having trouble keeping her distance from Tate and she really wants to believe he’s not the player the town says he is. Will Kelly and Tate be able to get past all the junk and make it work? Breaking Traditions: The Shifter and The Mage is an amazing paranormal, romance novel by Madilynn Dale. Natalie wants nothing more than to have her own bakery business but unfortunately, her parents don’t share in her dream. In a perfect world, they would want Natalie to be a perfect stay at home mom. The main issue with that is her parents want her to be with her ex Theo. Natalie struggles to be true to her shifter heritage but also wants to be happy with her life. Then enter Alex, the mage. Natalie’s wolf side feels drawn to Alex, but this of course is against the shifter tradition. Alex begins falling in love with Natalie but feels that she isn’t being truthful with him. I almost felt bad for Natalie as she struggled through her life. She wants to please her family, she wants to live as a shifter, but she also has dreams of her own. Then I felt bad for Alex too because all he wants is to be with Natalie but he feels like there is something getting in the way of them. Throughout the whole novel, I just wanted the two of them to be happy. The author did a wonderful job with both the paranormal aspects of this novel as well as the romantic ones. I definitely recommend reading this book!

One Hot Texas Summer by Nicole Flockton is the first book in the Prentice Brothers of Sweet Ridge series. It is one of those books that I found easy to get into and a great way to lose yourself for a few hours in some great characters.
I enjoyed the way this book was written. I found that it was paced pretty well and the story definitely moved along in the right direction. There were times when I struggled a bit with the characters – the connection between them was there it just sometimes felt like it needed a bit of work. However for the most part I found myself engaging with them and interested in their story.
As the start of a new series I though this book did well. It wasn’t too series while also having depth about it and it has caught my interested in the other characters that I assume will form the basis of the rest of the series. This is a good start and a book I enjoyed.
The Walls Between Us: A Borderland Love Story by Kate McGahan

I enjoyed this historical-romance story about the wall and before what it is today. I found this story to be interesting and also heartwarming. There is much going on in this book but it is easy to read and follow. This is a well written story that the author used details that make you feel as if you are right there with the characters. I had no problems connecting with the characters as they took me on an emotional journey of two people who live on opposite sides of the wall. This is about a couple; an American and a Mexican. They are complete opposites but as the story grows they find that they have things in common as well as learn about the differences in each other. Their relationship grows into something heartfelt but is love strong enough to break down the wall? Will destiny play a part in what happens to these two? I highly recommend this book. This is my first book by this author, I am glad I picked it up and you will be too.

This is my first book by this author, I enjoyed it from beginning to end. I look forward to reading more from this author in the future. This is a well written story about Sarah and her journey of being abducted. It is a shorter story but it is one you won’t soon forget. The characters took me on an emotional roller coaster ride of various emotions from some laughter to sadness. I had no problems connecting with the characters and they made the story easy to read. This is an engaging story that is fast paced and kept me turning pages to see what would happen next with Sarah. I highly recommend reading this book.

This is a shorter romance story that I enjoyed. This is a romance story about taking risks with love. This author continues to impress me with her writing skills and her attention to details. I enjoy being pulled into the story from the beginning and this story is no different. The characters brought the story to life and made it easy to read. This is a fast paced story that is engaging and kept me turning pages. Erika is a teacher that is determined to not fall in love. That is until she gets hurt and meets the new doctor in town. Dr. Matt is not necessarily looking for love but when he meets Erika he changes his mind. Now he is determined to convince her to take a risk on him. What will fate have in store for them? Will a secret admirer change things? This is a really great story that I highly recommend.

We are back with Aaron and Brandon Kovac, the twins are now seniors in college and have their lives together, although hundreds of miles apart, they have jobs, a way with the ladies and are nearly finished getting their respective degrees, but nothing is as simple as it seems.
Their mum is diagnosed with cancer and they are finding it hard to deal with it, as are their other siblings. Branson is still learning how to deal with his mental health and Aaron is still dealing with it too, albeit by keeping his distance and leaving his brother to do his own thing.
This is where we meet David, David is the third twin. David is different and has more dark tendencies than the other twins, but he is the life of the party when he is more encouraging. He voices the things that should stay hidden, but also says the things that people want to hear.
With all the emotions which need to be worked through and the more details that come to the fore, the more the problems start to arise, but who is David talking to and what will he say? These are the million dollar questions!
Prepare for another emotional rollercoaster that takes ups and downs in its stride leaving you not knowing how or what to feel, but sure you want to feel more.

Meet Branson Kovac, he is a senior in his final year of school and that’s what everyone thinks he is too, but Branson hears voices and that is where this story begins.
We start with Tara, Branson’s mum when he tells her over the phone that he is hearing voices and to say she is in shock with this announcement is an understatement. She goes on a brief trip down memory lane and tries to see what she could have gone wrong and justify what she has heard.
We next see Branson as he starts to realise that these voices aren’t heard by everyone else and also, that these voices are becoming clearer and making more sense. He is in with the office counsellor trying to make sense of what happened earlier on in the day and why this incident has him sitting in this office with someone he doesn’t even know.
As he tries to begin to explain his situation and get some advice, he finds that he may not be as alone as he thinks he is.
As the book continues, we meet Branson’s twin, his girlfriend and his other friend Trevor, but what you find out about them doesn’t quite tally with what you want to believe.
This book is an illuminating look into a tough subject and takes you on a journey from two different perspectives, it will have you on an emotional rollercoaster, but one you will not want to get off.

This is a lovely supernatural romance bout 2 people from different species falling in love and the obscales they face.
Natalie is a shifter and according to shifter traditions she has to marry a strong shifter with a good job to take care of her. However Natalie has other ideas and when she meets Alex all those traditions don’t exist.
Alex is a Mage. He is a very hard working young man who falls head over heels for Natalie but will that be enough?
Can Natalie and Alex break traditions to be together or will Natalie be forced to stick to dating her own kind? Who says that love knows the different that are between species and should that difference matters when you cant choose who you fall in love with.
Rebecca Steele Finding the Dream by Joanne Patterson

I struggle with this review. The story was ok but there is a lot of filler in the book and the writing seemed a bit boxy. That in turn led me to be bored and just easily could flip pages and not miss anything. The characters were ok as well. I had a few inconsistencies that I didn’t understand. The MC and her bff were retired but later but also working on career as rodeo queen/singer/ranch hand and then she seemed younger. It was a bit weird and too many mixed signals.
I liked Chance and the relationship he had with Rebecca. I could tell he liked her and was shy about it in the beginning. He was “All in” from the beginning. His secret identity was off in left field but it was used nicely in the story.
There is some mystery in the story as well. I didn’t read book 1 in the series and it made me wonder if this was carryover from that book. It was nicely done and was later in the book.
Overall this is an ok story. I was excited to read this based on others reviews. But I just couldn’t get into the characters or the story. Sorry.
