Olivia thought she had found the man she was going to marry and spend the rest of her life with…only to find out that he wasn’t the man she thought he was. She packs up her life and moves to New York. There, she interviews at a law firm where she meets Gabe, who is a partner at the firm.
Gabe is a playboy who doesn’t do relationships. When he meets Olivia as he is interviewing for a new junior partner. Wanting to find a way to keep Olivia around, he takes steps unheard of at the firm to make sure she chooses to work for him.
As their relationship develops, an underlying secret threatens to crumble their foundation at any moment. When that secret comes to light, the series of events that happens puts their real feelings into perspective.
The characters in this book were easy to love. The entire Rhodes family is full of great characters. Olivia is guarded due to her past and it keeps her from opening her heart up completely. I was rooting for her and Gabe to make it work. I am also interested in the other family members and hope to read about them in the future.
