I loved reading the book Rescued by Valan (The Pirates of Barra: Highland Raiders) by Jennifer Siddoway. It is a story that had me hooked from the very beginning. There is action, danger, and romance included. I loved the characters of Valan and Lady Bridget MacKay. Valan is the newest pirate captain for Clan MacNeil. While he is young, he also has been well trained. He is also handsome and charming. When he rescues Lady Bridget, he never expected to fall for her. Lady Bridget is a young woman whose marriage has been arranged. She never guessed that she would be rescued by Valan from those who would do her harm. She also never expected to fall for Valan. What does the future hold for Valan and Landy Bridget? Read this book to find out. This is a story that is exciting to read. I grew to care about Valan and Lady Bridget with each chapter that I read. I wanted them to find happiness. The author does a wonderful job of making both the storyline and the characters come alive. I also enjoyed reading about many of the additional characters that are introduced in the book. Don’t miss out on a wonderful story that you won’t want to put down until the final page. I highly recommend reading it.
