Brumbaugh’s Tirumfall trilogy is shaping up to be very epic and grand. This second installment picks up where the first left off so is best understood and enjoyed within the context of the series. However the imagery and character development are so rich that they stand well on their own. With another epic quest and battle of good versus evil, fantasy lovers will enjoy the world building Brumbaugh provides in these pages. Have thoroughly enjoyed the series thus far and look forward to reading the next book!

I continue to be intrigued by the take on a “fairytale” theme that Sravenheart explores in this series. I love the premise of making the “villain” the main character. It creates empathy and understanding otherwise often denied. I love the concept of the story. I found following the story from Astrid’s perspective intriguing. It felt a little disjointed to me a few times but likely because it’s a raven’s point of view. Ha ha. Overall another very enjoyable fantasy read. I look forward to reading more from this author.

This four-star read will have all mystery lovers riveted to their seats. I thoroughly enjoyed how the author constructed the story and started it off very quickly. Curse of the Sands (Relic Hunters) by Martin Ferguson is what I would class as good old fashioned action story! It is interesting to read about, filled with fun and adventure. It is an exciting read. The author has created a story that is highly entertaining and felt like is action packed and fast paced from the start. I could easily imagine the scenes in this book and it made it feel like I was right there with the characters on their discoveries. I loved how the book made me think of the old adventure movies like The Mummy and Indiana Jones. It has such a nostalgic feel to it while a also feeling fresh and new. This is a great book and definitely worth your time.

Grosse Pointe by Natalie Barnes is a brilliant historical fiction novel that will transport you right to the time in which it is set. This book has been so well written you can vividly picture exactly what the author is describing and the characters. I loved Brek and his whole demeanour. He felt so unpolished which is exactly what I would want from his type of character. He for the time and the genre perfectly. This is the first book that I have read by this author but it certainly won’t be the last. Well written and interesting this is a book I would definitely recommend!
This was a quick little book that I really enjoyed. I like that there were some things that surprised me and then even still went a different direction than I expected. I am not much of a football fan and was still able to keep up with the lingo. The characters in this were very well written and surprising to say the least, Tarrah did a great job building this book not only with the main characters but the background people also. I wonder if there is going to be more in a standard novel with some of the shenanigans that were presented in this quaint little story.

Tidal Love was a really lovely read by K.M. Lowe, I really enjoyed it. I was engaged in the story straight away and I think I most definitely fell in love with the characters Harleigh and Giovani as soon as I started reading about them. After everything that Harleigh had been through I desperately wanted her to find someone who would treat her right and I just knew the moment she met Giovani that he might just be that person for her. I was rooting for them the whole way through. Alongside the lovely romance story is the wonderful descriptive language the author uses to describe the setting for the story, I really felt like I could imagine what I was reading. Overall a really lovely story and one that I would highly recommend.

A move across the ocean, a murder across the street from her new home and a game on the dark web. This story was intriguing and had interesting twists and turns. Mystery, crime, police, teenage angst with a splash of romance. This was a page turning thriller worth reading.

Sports romances are a must read usually for me, throw in Brooke May as the author and I am there. I loved She’s No Cowgirl, the fifth book in the My Cowboy Series. Kennedy is a kick butt and take names lead female character. She does her best to fit in in a man’s world and truly wants to play football with the best of them. Unfortunately, or fortunate depending on how you look at it, she doesn’t find her niche quite like she does with writing sports. This brings Hunter into her life and these two are fabulous. I loved the push pull and the way things read so realistically. I felt as if I should be their own cheerleading section at times and found myself giggling at several points. Overall this was a nice escape read for a rainy Sunday afternoon when I needed a little light and happiness in my life. I can’t wait to see what we will get next from Brooke May!

This is the second book in the Tirumfall Trilogy. The adventure of Gant and his friends continues. The world of fantasy and adventure is safe since they successfully defeated evil in the last book. Its is another fun filled adventure, full of magic and mystery. The worlds that are created are so well written that you can actually believe that you are there.
However their peace maybe short lived when a visitor warns Gant of a child that is to be born. This child will end the arguments between the forces of evil and team them together.
Can Gant and his friends stop this child’s birth or intervene to make the child a force of good instead of evil? Or will they need to prepare themselves for another battle against the forces of evil?

Tarrah Anders is one of my go to and fav romance authors. She always has a knack for drawing me in on that very first page until the end when I can barely stand to finish because I don’t want it to end. Rookie Moves is A Quick Snap Novella and reads fairly quickly. While it is a fast paced read the characters involved have quite the slow burn romance that is delectable. I loved Grant and Emily so much, these two compliment each other so well it is hard to not fall in love with them and cheer them on the whole time. We find Grant the rookie football player with a not so good reputation and Emily the good girl and mayor’s daughter. While Emily is supposed to help clean up his image we discover she also has a bit of a rambunctious side and the two seem to have a way of getting into it together. I can’t wait to see what we will get next from Tarrah Anders!

I just knew I had to read Tidal Love the moment I saw the gorgeous cover! I desperately needed to escape through a book and this one did just that. It swept me away with the love and the emotional roller coaster this takes the reader on. Tidal Love is a contemporary romance, and really it is one of those books you just get completely lost in and forget the world around you. Harleigh has not had it easy and is just now getting her life resettled after leaving an abusive and toxic ex. Her family sends her on a dream vacation and she ends up meeting her dream man, Giovanni. These two will sweep you away with their stories and emotions that they encounter. I loved the way things unfolded and the way the author kept things realistic. I will definitely be looking for more works by KM Lowe because the bonus of reading this book was she is a new author to me and I now get to discover her other works!

Faerie’s Magic is the first book in the Season’s of the Faeby Jessica Feyden. This is the first book that I have read by Ms. Feyden, so I really wasn’t sure what to expect from one of her books. But the beautiful cover captured my attention, and the intriguing blurb sealed the deal. A one-click later and I was diving in, ready to set off on this wonderful adventure. Mira, the princess of the Summer Court, has no idea that her ‘normal’ day of hunting in the forest would end up in a battle between the Fae and the Norn (shifter/witches) where she gets up close and personal with one of the enemy, and her hunting skills come to the fore. She also discovers her powers have been bound. But also, unknowingly, finds her fated mate. There is so much more to this story, but I really don’t want to spoil it for you by giving away too much. It’s always fun to try out new authors. To stumble onto gems that make reading enjoyable. Love On The Ropes was definitely one of those. The first book in her Love In Action series, this book starts the series off right. So sit back, strap in, and hang on for a great ride.
Both Clint Davenport and Erin Hung are living their dream jobs. But with success comes sacrifice. And for these two career-driven individuals, this means no distractions. So when at a company retreat, Erin saves Clint from a messy situation they both realize that distractions aren’t avoidable. Combining angst, humor, and great chemistry between the two lead characters, the story hits a believable note that leaves you thoroughly entertained. This book isn’t instantaneous love. This is the first book by this author for me and I look forward to reading her other books. Tidal Love is almost an insta-love type of story, but since the main characters are broken and lost they don’t see it right away. I like how Tidal Love was written. There is a story behind each character…they just weren’t born super wealthy, having everything handed to them or even an easy life. They all had to work for their current chapter in their lives. This story gives hope to readers that even after tragic events life can go on, happiness can be found.

Rookie Moves by Tarrah Anders is many things. A new author I’ve found, a book outside of my usual genre, and very enjoyable, among other things! I read this quick read in about an hour. It’s a good read, and i recommend it to anyone who enjoys football and the like! I very much enjoyed this authors style of writing, and hope to read more of they’re work in the future!

First of all, a bit off topic but I LOVE the title and the cover art of this book… I’ve become a big fan of Cynthia Hamilton’s writing so I have followed along with the Madeline Dawkins series since the very first book. That being said, The Patience of Karma can be read as a standalone book! I’ve come to enjoy this series so much because Madeline is a great main character that I find more enjoyable as the series progresses. Cynthia Hamilton has a way of providing the reader with an action packed storyline without making the plot obnoxious or unbelievable. I enjoyed The Patience of Karma from start to finish and as always, look forward to more from this author.

Tarrah Anders’ book was quick and easy to read, I finished it in a day! If you are looking for a quick romance, this is it, you also do not have to read the rest of the series to delve into this book. While this book initially followed the classic bad boy and good girl romance, Tarrah Anders surprisingly put her own spin on the genre through the character of Emily. Seeing the relationship between Grant and Emily develop and change their own perspectives was great to read. However, I would have loved for there to be more development in the character background and family aspects. The originality of Tarrah Anders’ story would leave you wanting more.

Child of Prophecy (Tirumfall Trilogy Book 2) by J Drew Brumbaugh is a fantasy story. There are a lot of moving parts to this story and the road is not always easy but the journey to find the prophesised one to lead them to victory is a must. This is a fast paced tale with magic and danger, action and hope, magical beings of all sorts and so much more. You need to read the first book, Fall of the Western Kings of this trilogy as the story continues on. This original fantasy is vividly and richly outlined and is a well woven tale. It is easier to settle into this story earlier than the first as we have gotten to know the characters and the authors writing style.

Curse of the Sands (Relic Hunters book 2) by Martin Ferguson is a YA adventure story and sees the gang back together on another mission risking life and limb. As with the first book I love the thrills and mystery, the history and gathering the pieces and putting a puzzle together. Martins world building and easy writing style makes for a thrilling and enthralling read. Again, as with the first book the story is fast paced and gets the heart pumping. I was so engrossed in it that time got away from me. If you love the Librarians, Indiana Jones etc you are gonna love this series. YA or not you will thoroughly enjoy it too.

The Patience of Karma is the fifth book in the A Madeline Dawkins Mystery Series by Cynthia Hamilton. Just when I thought this series couldn’t get any better then I read this book and it becomes my favorite . I’ve truly enjoyed this whole series and highly recommend reading the first four books if you haven’t already . I found myself on the edge of my seat trying to figure out what was going to happen next. Madeline and Mike are back with two mysteries to solve and Mike comes to face his past and some choices he made. We have a missing person case and a husband who believes his wife is cheating . Follow along with Mike an Madeline as they work on solving their cases. Will the solve both ? What happens when Mikes past catches up to him? I highly recommend reading not only this book but the whole series. I can’t wait to get my hands on the next book.

Brooke May’s book was a great contemporary romance which was an easy, quick read. The dual perspectives from both love interest, Kennedy and Hunter were amazing in developing the characters, from their feeling for each other to their love of football. While this book was football orientated due to Hunter playing football in college and Kennedy being a sports reporter, this book could be enjoyed by everyone. I loved that Brooke May did not shy away from serious topics such as career pressure and Kennedy experiencing sexism in her work and due to her love of sports. Additionally, Brooke May highlights an important message throughout the book about following your dreams and never giving up despite all obstacles.

Dare Game (The Irish Garda Files Book 1) by Melinda Colt, was a great little romance wrapped up in a mystery. I really loved that it is set in Ireland. I had to have a little help with a few of the words. I like that little bit of Gaelic thrown in. I like how the author brings out the emotional stress in teenagers when they have lifechanging events occur in their lives, most that they have no control over. I’m looking forward to more of the Irish Garda books.

Rookie Moves a quick snap by Tarrah Anders is a short and fun read. This read is very fun, sexy and kinda quirky read. I really loved reading about Grant and Emily, the book really pulls you in I read the book all in one sitting I couldn’t put it down. The way Tarrah has written this book you can relate to characters. After reading this book I look forward to reading more books by Tarrah Anders. Thank you Tarrah for writing a fun read :).

Love on the Ropes by Aviva Vaughn is book 1 in the Love in Action Series. I found it to be a very easy fast paced read. Emily is a knowledgeable and sexy marketing manager for a top of the charts radio station. New-ish to Pasadena, after leaving the security of her parents’ home at a later age than usual; in her twenties, Emily isn’t looking for love. She’s too busy working towards a promotion. Clint Davenport is one of the radio stations jockeys who is happy in his life, with a past full of his own demons. When Clint and Emily are forced to work closer together, they learn things about each other and themselves they didn’t already know and find themselves having to battle an attraction neither of them wants to feel. This was a fun romantic read I give 4 stars and highly recommend! This story has very minimal offensive language and steamy scenes, however there is a bit!
