My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Sceptre of Flint by N.L. Holmes is the third book in the Lord Hani Mystery series. This book is every bit as interesting and detailed as the other books in the series and really will draw you into its pages.
With this book you are taken back into Lord Hani and his family and it really is like slipping back into a book you are part way through. It doesn’t ever feel like you have left these characters behind. The story was as well developed and complex as I have come to expect and was just as enjoyable as all the others.
If you enjoy historical fiction then I would definitely recommend this series to you. It is evident that the author has out a lot of effort into creating a historically accurate story and it certainly pays off. This is a brilliant book and an overall brilliant series.
