This is a beautiful story about 3 friends and all the things the have gone through together. This book will make you laugh and will definately make you cry. It deals with some tough subjects include death and emotion and shows that even though we think someone had a perfect life the reality is different

Daughter Dawson is a psychologist who knows very little about her past, being adopted when she was younger with the express rule that she keep the name Daughter, (which if you ask me is a really crappy name, but there you go, she’s stuck with it for the rest of her life) she is at a loss as to where she came from and who her parents are. Quite early on, however, the bombshell of all bombshells is dropped in Daughter’s lap and literally blows her world apart, her father happens to be a serial killer. Dolan (I don’t know what it is with the D names but hey, just gotta roll with it) is an interesting character, dealing with a lot of dark and horrible crap in his past that has left him with some interesting coping mechanisms? I question because I assume that’s what they are. I won’t spoil it for all the readers out there – got to leave a little mystery and all that – but I thought the way that Roads wrote Dolan was really intriguing. Dolan works for the FBI and bodies have definitely been turning up, at least he is pretty sure that bodies are turning up, no one else around him seems as convinced. In light of this, its decided that maybe the best thing for him is to go seek some professional help for his apparent issue and that’s when Daughter and Dolan meet. Obviously the first time they meet there is an instant connection and I’ve got to say that it kind of rankled me a little bit. The instant connection deal that is in most romance novels annoys me anyway, I get why it’s there and I know that other people enjoy it, but for me, it just feels daft and unearned. You can find someone attractive but the instant eye-meeting and being completely turned-on shenanigans that turns up quite a bit just doesn’t do it for me and in this book, I just felt that it really didn’t need it. Daughter and Dolan already have this really quite horrific things connecting them, drawing them together, and if felt that it was enough. Still, I will say that this is an enjoyable read, I thought that the premise was really interesting and it did keep me hooked. Thought it was a compelling idea really, I mean how would you react if you found that a parent you had never known suddenly decided to turn up in your life and they were a serial killer. I think I’d find a nice little rock to hide under. For me the romance between Daught and Dolan was okay, but I felt like it took centre stage in the novel when it really didn’t need to, there were other elements that I wish Roads had focused on just a little bit more. Still, someone else who reads this may think the balance is just right and that the romance is needed. Tis just my opinion. I will say that, even with how I feel about the romance, it was well written, in fact, this whole book was well written. I didn’t actually realise till quite a way in that this was the second book in a series, I mean honestly, you really can’t tell, it does a grand job of standing alone. I may have to go back and read the first one though, just to see what I am missing out on. Would recommend this to romance and thriller lovers alike, this story has both in equal measure and will keep you on the edge of your seat.
I really enjoyed reading The Goddess of Everything from Paul DeBlassie III. This is one thriller that will and did keep me sitting on the edge of my seat as I followed the story of Gabriel de LaTierra, a psychiatric healer. This is one that really takes it time to build and find that smashing ending, but I felt all the time spent was well worth every second. I found myself really connecting to Gabriel and becoming invested in his journey and the layers that surround it and build. I have high hopes this is not the last of this type of novel from DeBlassie, because I will be there to devour it next. I do look forward to seeing whatever new comes from him. This is my absolute favorite of his so I hope he can top it! If thrillers and layered, well planned and thought out novels that engage you are your thing, this is a book you do not want to miss out on reading!

Shannon you’ve done it again! Chimera Rising is the third book in The Traveler series, and my personal favorite. I have been impatiently waiting for this book since i finished Chimera Revolution, and Shannon just keeps amazing me! I HIGHLY advise to read these in order, and I highly recommend reading them all! This book, along with the rest of it’s series, is such a beautiful series of ups and downs, and will absolutely hook you from page one. It has quickly become my favorite series, and i just cannot wait to get my hands on more from this author! Shannon knows just how to weave an absolutely spell binding (Pun intended!) work of art!

If you have not checked out Shannon Nemechek and her series The Book of Eleanor, you have been missing an awesome series. This is the third book in the series so i HIGHLY recommend reading the first two before reading this book. In this series there has been time travel, fantasy, magic, danger, mystery, and plenty of paranormal activity to just name a few things. The characters really compliment the plotline well. They are fully developed and complex. I have enjoyed Kate and Colm from the beginning book. They have been through a lot, but are they able to get into just a little more? I found myself turning the pages very quickly because I wanted to see what Kate and Colm is in store next. I did read the book in one sitting. Make sure you are comfortable, have all your snacks, and get ready for a roller coaster ride.

From the beginning Cade Dawkins, is suspicious that the suspected one car crash is not just as it appears, this one car was helped off the road, and then it was brought to his attention that there were other such crashes, and so it begins. The killer has a type, blondes, as in all good mystery stories, finding the type of victim helps find the killer. This story has both sides, one from Cades and one from the killers. In the end the good guys win. That is my favorite part of all mysteries. You will not be disappointed with this book!

After reading the first book of this series, McKinley excellent job building from pertinent characters mentioned in the first book. Xander and Jaxon are brothers and while not the main characters in this book, Xander and Riley début. The investigation that Xander had started is still in progress with Jaxon joining in. The character development is still my favorite aspect of her books, and I can’t wait to keep reading the series.

The character development that McKinley crafted is far superior to many suspense romance novels that I have read. The ending of the book is definitely shocking and tied all loose ends together. It also left open the future of Xander’s investigation on the ambush in his last mission. I eagerly looked forward to reading the sequel.

I loved this novel! The characters are so real I could FEEL their passion and regret. Are they ever HOT together! The tension leaves you hoping they can move forward to explore what could be! A must read!

Wow! Capturing Fate absolutely blew me away! This is my first novel by Abbie Roads, and will not be the last! Capturing Fate was full of intense action, true emotions, and I truly didn’t want to out it down!
Dolan Watts is an FBI agent and starts the story undercover. When he sees something he should never see in a million years and no one really believes his story, he has to venture on his own to find the truth.
Daughter is a psychologist. She has her own practice and meets a very intriguing man one day. That session literally changes her whole life.
This story was really amazing! The plot was intense and the story was so original. I loved the characters and the writing that made you feel everything the characters were feeling. I cannot wait to explore more from this author!

Nobody Knows: A British Rock Band Romance (Razes Hell Book 1) by Kyra Lennon. I absolutely loved this book and couldn’t put it down I found myself sneaking around to read it any and every chance I got. The characters are complex and relatable, they easily pulled me into their world and I’ll be honest I didn’t want to leave but all good things do end eventually. I definitely won’t forget these characters though and I definitely be adding this read to me reread list. This author knows how to tell a story that had me hooked from start to finish. It’s well written and paced nicely never feeling rushed or lacking anything. I’m definitely looking forward to more from this author. I’m easily giving this book five stars and highly recommend it. A Tennis Pro To Die For (Cozy Mysteries To Die For Book 3) by Judy Moore. Once again I found myself completely drawn into the story world this author has created. The characters are easy at picturing and I like going on the adventures we get to. I recommend reading these in order and trust me they are all great. I liked getting lost in the pages for a while. The storyline is well written and paced nicely never feeling rushed or lacking anything. It’s got everything you need for a cozy mystery and i loved every minute of it. Can’t wait to see where this author takes readers next. Four stars and highly recommended.

The Traveler: Chimera Rising is the third book in ‘The Book of Eleanor’ Series by Shannon Nemechek. I highly recommend reading the books in order as this one starts off where book 2 left off. As the previous books, this one did not disappoint, I fall in love with the story and characters more each book. Capturing Fate by Abbie Roads. I love a book that keeps me guessing and on the edge of my seat. That exactly what I got when I opened this book. The storyline is engaging and well developed with characters that are just as importantly done well as the storyline. The characters are complex and engaging they bring the storyline to life and I like the adventure they took me on. I know for me it was over too quickly but only because I wasn’t ready to be done. It’s fast paced but not in a rushed way. I’m giving this story a five star review and highly recommend! Can’t wait for more from this author who always brings her A+ writing game.
Beckoned: Born of Darkness (Book 1) by R. B. Fields. This book blew me away from start to finish. I sometimes have trouble sinking into a paranormal story but I definitely didn’t have that problem with this book. From page one I knew I was in for quite the ride with not only the storyline but the characters. It’s definitely a steamy read and I loved every minute of it. The characters truly brought the storyline to life. It’s well written and paced nicely never feeling rushed or lacking anything. I’m already excited for more from this author. Five stars all the way! Can’t wait to see where this author takes readers next.

I absolutely loved reading the book Beckoned: Born of Darkness which is book 1 by R. B. Fields. I love almost all paranormal books but especially books with vampires, and this one doesn’t let you down. This book has a great storyline that pulls you in from the very beginning and holds your interest to the very end leaving you wanting more. But not only did the author write an amazing book, her characters are what bring it to life, the details she puts into both makes you feel like you are there! I can’t wait to see what comes next from this author.

This is a Romantic Suspense novel and has around 350 pages. This story follows Kendyll, a writer of romance. She has been searching for her own HEA but her relationship with her fiancé Vance seems more “comfortable” than anything. So, in an attempt to rekindle the flames, they move to another city and buy an old, rundown mansion. When she first saw the house, it spoke to her – in more ways than one. Wes is hired to fix it back up, but there is also a connection between Wes and Kendyll. I really enjoyed the trip back to read about the historical happenings of this place.
Hmm, this was an interesting story, got some serious ‘What Lies Beneath’ vibes from it, and of course ‘Rebecca’ vibes, but I have this curious feeling that it may have been on purpose. I could be wrong. Honestly though, on paper (I know it’s a book) it should be exactly the type of thing that I would adore. There’s mystery, there are twists and turns and a little sprinkle of the supernatural which has always been my thing, but for some reason, I found this a little difficult to get into. I don’t know whether it’s the way the character was written or whatever, but I just really struggle to immerse myself in this one. Not to say that this is badly written, or not worth the read because it is really good and I would absolutely recommend anyone giving it a go, I just found it a bit tough to get into, that’s all. Tessa Stevens has had her fair share of crap to shovel in her life and when she meets her husband, she thinks that things are finally looking up and that she may actually get the life that she has always dreamed of free from all the darkness of her past. That is until a spirit keeps showing up warning her that all might not be as it seems. The more that the spirit visits her, the more that Tessa finds that Keith isn’t what she thought. That’s a basic outline, I don’t want to ruin anything because I really do think you should read it, I think I’m going to read it again when I’ve had a bit of a break and I’m pretty sure that all the things I am not liking at the moment will have gone packing. I mean it had to be good because I finished it quickly. It kept me guessing and wanting to read more so it must have done something right. Just took me a bit of time to get into, but give it a go because you might not have the same problem and there is an awesome story in there.
The second book in the Deadly Isles Special Ops by Amy McKinley was entertaining for sure. Was a very quick, enjoyable read. This was my first McKinley novel, and I did enjoy it. I don’t think you have to read the first one in the series to read this one, I enjoyed it and followed along without the first. There were some good twists and turns, some mystery, and resolutions I did not see coming. There were also elements of the supernatural which was a nice surprise. I would have liked if there was a warning about abuse somewhere, it can be triggering for some. (If I missed that then that’s my bad). The chemistry between the characters was great! Kayla’s story is well written and comes to a conclusion I think many will find emotional, surprising and fulfilling. If you love romance with some mystery then this is a book for you!

Where Flowers Bloom By Nikki Vale 5 out of 5 stars
I loved reading the book Where Flowers Bloom by Nikki Vale. The story will pull you in from the beginning and will not let you go until the final page. It is a romance book that had me lost in the pages. The author does an amazing job of making the storyline and the characters come alive. This is a book that seemed to be over too soon. I enjoyed reading about the dialogue between the characters. The story is well-detailed that I felt like I was right there with the characters. The story had my emotions going up and down the entire time I was reading it. Don’t miss out on a romantic, exciting, and entertaining book. I highly recommend it.

When you discover your ideal home, well mansion but you realise you are not the only one living there?
Kendyll is successful within her careers at the moment but her relationship is just surviving so her and her partner decide to make a fresh start but when they try and find a new house her ideas and her partners are different until one day they come across an old mansion which calls to her and she buys it straight off.
This is the first book I have read by this author and have to say I loved this story. It was not quite what I expected but it was better than I could have imagined. I love the paranormal aspect of the story and learning the story behind the plantation owner which was a twist on the history of the mansion.
I loved how the book followed through the path of the parallel with her story and the old history of the house and for Kendyll to really think about her relationship and if it was the best for her in the end. The story was well written and the choice of the secondary characters really enhanced the book and I can’t wait to read more from this brilliant author.

I loved reading the book The Traveler: Chimera Rising (The Traveler Series, Book of Eleanor Book 3) by Shannon Nemechek. It is a story that is interesting and intriguing. It includes danger, witches, and a curse. I loved the story and the characters. The author does an amazing job of making them both come alive. The book had me turning pages wondering what was going to happen next. Each story in this series keeps getting better. To fully understand what is going on, you should read them in order. I love reading about the interactions between the characters. Don’t miss out on an amazing, exciting, and entertaining story. I highly recommend reading it and the entire series.

Vengeance by Courtney Konstantin is the firth book in the Sundown series. This book can be read as a stand-alone or as part of the series. This is a YA dystopian novel that is well written and action packed. I knew when I started this book that it was going to be exciting and fast paced but I didn’t expect it to be such an emotional story. I was completely connected with the main character and it felt like I was taking the journey with her. Although this is the first book I have read in this series it never felt like I was missing out on what had happened although after reading this one I will be going back to read the others. This is a well written and detailed book that I thoroughly enjoyed. I am looking forward to discovering more by this author.

This is a amazing book and very well presented. It start off with trouble which is plaguing the band. I adore the way Jason, Drew and Ellie Interact with each other. This is a story that never had a dull moment in it. This book is very heartfelt. I really enjoyed the way this romance planned out.

Bound by Secrets (Deadly Isles Special Ops #2) by Amy McKinley
Another fantastic read by Amy McKinley. She certainly knows what to do to bring the readers back. Twisted Secrets is a great book, but Bound by Secrets is amazing. Can be read as a standalone.
Kayla comes home running from her ex boyfriend. She doesn’t think about what she’ll run into by going home. When she runs into her ex-lover and her deceased brother’s best friend she knows. The quote I chose for Kayla is: “We need to stay away from certain topics, or we won’t be able to live together. Anything with my brother is at the top of that list.”
Jaxon is still trying to get back to his civilian life. Working as a cop is great but it isn’t something he sees for himself. Running into Kayla makes him think of the past. Will she become a Hale? The quote I chose for Jaxon is: “It was a news alert. Several explosions happened at the same time.”

This is the second book in the Haunted Ever After series. This can be a stand alone book but I recommend the first book as it is just as entertaining. The plotline is a fun energetic story. It keeps you turning the pages to see what is next. The characters are fully developed and quite comical. This story is about Trent and Tina. Trent has had his uncle’s mansion given to him when he passes. Well it is not a regular mansion, it has some ghosts who live in the mansion. Trent wants to sell it and he turns to his ex-girlfriend to sell it for him. Tina broke up with Trent a few months ago and is surprised that Trent is calling her. Will Tina take the mansion to sell? Will the ghosts try to interfere with the selling of the mansion? Will Tina and Trent rekindle the flame they had for one another. I highly recommend this story to find out the answers to these questions and more.

Third Time’s a Ghost is the third book in the series. Carrie Pulkinen has done an amazing job with this series. I highly recommend reading the first two books. I love how Carrie Pulkinen has taken a paranormal character and turned it into a romantic paranormal story. This story is Gage and Erica’s story. Their story started back in high school. Gage is an investigator who is having problems with dating and Erica is a psychic medium who is having issues with her theater business. There are ghosts who are making things hard for Erica. Can Gage help with Erica with her problem at the theater? Will Gage tell Erica about his feelings? Will Erica be opened to Gage’s feelings? I highly recommend this story to see if there is a happy ending for Gage and Erica.
