I have a special fondness for retellings of the King Arthur myth. The Traveler: Chimera Rising blends elements from the time of Merlin with different eras as Merlin’s granddaughter, Katie, travels through time with her husband, Colm. In this book, Katie and Colm must travel to Merlin’s time in order to thwart the wizard’s evil son, Mordred. My only regret is not reading this series in order. If possible, I would recommend starting with the first book, instead of reading this as a stand alone as I did. If you enjoy magic, time travel and adventure, then you’ll enjoy this book.

Nobody Knows (Razes Hell Book 1) By Kyra Lennon 5 out of 5 stars
I loved reading the book Nobody Knows (Razes Hell Book 1) by Kyra Lennon. It is a story that pulled me in and didn’t let me go until the final page. I love rock band romances, and this is a good example of the reason why. I enjoyed reading about the characters. They are well-developed, and I enjoyed the interactions between them. The author does an amazing job of making the storyline and the characters come alive. The book seemed to come to an end too soon. The author does a good job of writing in detail so that I felt like I was right there with the characters. I found myself turning pages wondering what was going to happen next. Don’t miss out on an exciting, romantic, and entertaining book. I highly recommend reading it.

I found this fun paranormal romance enjoyable and engaging with great characters and an intriguing storyline. Psychic Medium Allison Gray is scared of ghosts following a traumatic incident in her past. Unfortunately Empath Logan Mitchell is being haunted by a ghost who is making him crazy. Logan’s psychic gift of reading people’s emotions has helped him in the business world however, his gift along with being haunted means that Logan has given up on having a normal life. Then he meets Allison and if only she could overcome her fear of ghosts and especially the one haunting Logan then she could be the one to help him. This story is a romance with a paranormal twist. I loved Allison and Logan and found myself immersed in their story. The chemistry between the characters really came across in the narrative and led to some steamy scenes. The story flowed well making it an easy read and the plot kept me hooked from start to finish. I look forward to reading future books in this new series by Carrie Pulkinen.

Third Time’s a Ghost: A Ghostly Paranormal Romance by Carrie Pulkinen is the third book in the Haunted Ever After series. This is a highly entertaining, fantastically written series the just keeps getting better and better. I loved the two main characters in this book. I felt like they had such a strong connection right from the word go. This could be because they started as friends or it could just be that they had that instant connection. You could really feel the chemistry between them. The story was brilliant as always. It is always so exciting to read one of this authors books because it is not only fun and amusing but it has a depth to it that I don’t think you normally get from books like this. I was drawn into this story and could not put the book down until I had finished it. Another amazing book by this incredible author.

Dawn Macewan is a nurse by day and a badass human woman who follows the darkness that lives inside her and draws her to the darkness in others and uses it to solve the unsolvable murders and when she does, she goes after the serial killers before incapacitating them and handing them over to the authorities, but that is all about to change when her latest one turns out to be a vampire and a mean one at that. As she walks down the boardwalk late at night and well after the imposed curfew, she is ready to confront the evil where it preys upon the women, suddenly she hears him approaching her from behind, she grasps her mothers knife and prepares for the inevitable attack, but when she sees another man at the other end of the bridge, she is not prepared for the reaction she has to him, the man with the violet eyes staring back at her.
As the reality dawns on her that there are actually two of them, she is determined to at least get in some damage of her own before she is taken down, but when the guy in front of her disappears, she then feels a bolt of pain in the back of her head and as she struggles back to her feet, she knows the guy is behind her, she can hear him breathing, but as she attempts to get to her phone and finish the call to the authorities, he grabs her arm and wrenches her arm out of the socket, but as he shifts his weight to get behind her, she stabs him in the thigh with her knife, but she cannot escape him and the rest of her blows don’t seem to affect him at all and that’s when he starts to strangle her. As she knows she is about to die, the pressure suddenly releases and she hears a tearing sound in the air and she turns to see both men on the boardwalk, the one who tried to kill her is dead and ripped apart on the boards and the other is above him and when he approaches her, his face is covered in blood.
The man approaches her, knowing that he may attack her, but she is drawn to him and it appears that he is feeling the same way as he offers her his hand, she doesn’t trust him, but as he asks her questions, she just barks a laugh at him and as they both realise that she isn’t afraid of him like she should be, even when she lets slip that she knows he is a vampire too, although she says she is surprised seeing as they were working together, he puts that right as soon as she says it disgusted even at the idea. He seems to make a decision there and asks her to go with him and see the others, she agrees to go, liking the idea of safety in numbers, especially when vampires are involved, so getting on his motorcycle, they head back to his group and as she thinks over what she has just seen and how it will affect her future, but the feeling that she is in danger overarches everything else. When they arrive at the vampires home, it is not what she expected, but at the same time she understands the need for it, however as the door opens and a discussion about her ensues, she is not sure what her best option is, to go home and face certain death, or stay here and face possible death.
When Dawn tries to sleep and fails when her nightmares start, she gives up and gets dressed, but realises her knife is missing and goes to find the guy who brought her there, he is the only one who knows about it, however when she goes to confront him, she cannot deny the attraction between them and before she knows it, she is overcome with desire and so is he and they spend the night together, but when the next day, they all set off together somewhere else, she finds that it isn’t just the him she is attracted to and when things start to heat up between her and one of the others in the group, she doesn’t know what to do about it, but that is just the start of the unusual occurrences as they escape from the other vampire group chasing them down, but will she be able to survive them, or will whatever she has gotten in to be ruined before it can even start?
This is an erotic romance with a twist as secrets are revealed and tensions mount leaving you wanting to find out what those secrets are and as this fast paced novel whirls you to the end it keeps you interested all the way through.

Love at First Haunt: A Ghostly Paranormal Romance by Carrie Pulkinen is the first book in the Haunted Ever After series. I was excited to grab this new series by Pulkinen. She always has a lighthearted but fun, romantic story on my TBR pile. This story did not disappoint. Set in Detroit we are introduced to psychic Allison. She is recovering from a bad run-in with a ghost and not much better luck in the dating department. Is the ghost at Logan’s going to change all of that? The characters are fun to read and there is a HEA. This was a fantastic read to get away from the world and relax. I am looking forward to where the series will go and what other ghostly problems will occur.

I picked an awesome story for my first book by Allan Evans. I am a crime/psychological thriller junkie. I was not disappointed at all. This plotline kept me at the edge of my seat. It was a thrill ride just like a roller coaster. Just when you thought what was going to happen, BAM it went in an opposite direction. The characters are Remembrall, complex, fully developed. When you hear that a serial killer has a type, I start to worry if someone I knew fits that description. Cade has been assigned this killer’s case. It is a hot case that even has the governor’s attention. It started to become a cat and mouse chase. Is this a case that will do Cade in or will he become a decorated officer? I highly recommend this book but I will caution you. You may want to read this book when you know someone is home and either daylight or lights are turned on.

This is my first book read by this author, and it will not be my last. Love at First Haunt: A Ghostly Paranormal Romance (Haunted Ever After Book 1) has a cute, simple plot line. This is a fun, paranormal, romance story that is very intriguing to say the least. The story grabbed my attention from the very beginning. Allison Gray is an intelligent, talented, medium, who uses her gifts to help others. Not long after she was hurt by a former boyfriend, a ghost hunt goes wrong. She has sworn off from any more ghost busting jobs with her team. She leads a quiet boring, safe life, working with her gifts, out of an office in an antique shop. Her best friend invites her to tag along to a party hosted by new in town Logan Mitchell. Logan Mitchell is like her in so many ways, one is he is not looking for a relationship. He just wants to live a normal life. He has bought a house that turns out to be haunted. As things progress with this ghost, he decides to call in help to rid his house of this hostile ghost. The team he calls upon, asks Allison for help. Will she be able to help the ghost crossover? Will his life return to normal? This was a very enjoyable start to the series. So eager to read the next book!

The Traveler: Chimera Rising is the third book in ‘The Book of Eleanor’ Seriesby Shannon Nemechek. It follows on where the previous book left off- so I really recommend reading the first two books, before starting on this one- to ensure you will be able to fully appreciate this story. This is another enthralling time travel fantasy- with magic, danger, spies, mystery, history, drama, suspense, action, romance, and adventure. I have enjoyed reading this series, and after the events of the previous book I was looking forward to continuing the adventure with this new release. I am happy to say that this is just as bit as good as the first two books, and is now my firm favourite of the three. Katie and Colm were in for quite an adventure here. Secrets are revealed- while Colm’s loyalties are tested- which side IS he on. With danger at every turn and the fate of the book at stake, they are thrust into the fray, danger nipping at their heels- a true test their mettle, like never before. As with the previous books- this is another fast-paced, action-packed adventure that’s full of intrigue, excitement, suspense, and dramatic developments. I was also excited to see that there are quite a few more instalments planned for this series. Looking forward to seeing what Ms. Nemechek has in store for us. Bring on Book #4!

Climbing The Walls (Hart & Cole #1) by Sacha T. Y. Fortuné
This is the first book by Fortuné and I can’t wait for the next one. Fortuné can keep readers interested in the story.
Kris is trying his hardest not to let things happen. He is still in love with Nicole and doesn’t want to lose her. Their two kids mean the world to them. The quote I chose for Kris is: “I’ll talk it over with Mommy and get back to you on that, okay?”
Nicole is overwhelmed by everything. Leaving the rose means it was her fault. When her boss tells her that he’s having trouble in his marriage things change. She won’t let it happen to them. The quote I chose for Nicole is: “Why don’t you hold Goober? Mommy needs both hands to drive.”
Highly recommended for Contemporary Romance lovers.

Rebecca Remains is a gripping, edge of your seat read, by Jessica Aiken-Hall. And as I have come to expect from Ms. Aiken-Hall, this is quite an intriguing, thought-provoking, and very suspenseful crime/mystery- with paranormal elements, drama, danger, secrets, deception, and discovery- all wrapped up in a tightly woven and well-choreographed story. I was hooked from the moment I began, and Ms. Aiken-Hall had me guessing and trying to piece everything together to figure it all out before any big reveal. We meet Tessa, whom after experiencing much tragedy in her life, had finally come to a point where things seemed to be looking bright again, when strange things begin to happen. Disturbing dreams other unsettling events occur to disrupt her life. Tessa gets to the point where she doesn’t know who to trust, or if anyone in her life is who she thinks they are. Her life is turned upside down and she has to dig to uncover the truth of the situation. Ms. Aiken-Hall managed to instil palpable tension, suspense, and intensity into the story- giving it a real sense of impending danger and doom- which made for really great reading. Looking forward to more from Ms, Aiken-Hall. Happy reading!

Second Chance Spirit (Haunted Ever After Book 2) by Carrie Pulkinen 4 Stars
Trent is a high powered lawyer who inherits a house from his uncle. He was quite surprised because he was never close to him and his uncle was kind of crazy. After visiting the place, he decided to put it up for sale. It looked and felt like a real haunted house. Wanting a quick sale, he called the best real estate agent in town. Tina was a little surprised that Trent called her. She hadn’t spoken to him since she dumped him. She left him hanging not because she didn’t like him but because she liked him too much. Putting her feelings aside, she decided to remain professional. Inexplicably they both feel a connection to the house but there is something evil that lurks within. Can they both survive to have their happily ever after?
This is the second book in the series. It is Trent and Tina’s story whom we met in the first book. Although this is part two, it can be read as a stand-alone. The book is full of love and danger. The story is well written and the characters bring it to life. This is a fun and enjoyable read. I’m looking forward to part three.

Straight off we are launched into the sucky situation of Allison (our main protagonist) having to attend a party for a rich and powerful someone who recently brought the massive mansion the party is taking place in, from her friend Tina. Allison doesn’t like the parties, mainly for the vapid and money-hungry guests but also because she can feel all emotions and she knows just how fake all the people around her are. If I’m being entirely honest – and this is nothing against Pulkinen because I have read some of her other stuff and I have always found it witty and relatable – but I really struggled with this book, especially the whole empath thing. I get that it is a fantasy and I’m all for that, but to say that a room full of people only had money and sex on their minds just is daft. Even people who like all the swanky stuff and a good roll in the hay, have more on their minds than that, and I thought that a character who is a supernatural being like an empath would be aware of this and understand this. By all means, say that she couldn’t stand the party because all the emotions were just too much, but to say that everyone in there wasn’t worth her time except for Logan felt a little harsh. Anywho just my personal opinion, moving swiftly on. While at this party she locks eyes with Logan, the hunky handsome bit of man that, in spite of his seemingly knee-deep-in-willing-women lifestyle is sad and lonely and Allison senses this, and instantly runs away from it. After being hurt and spurned before she doesn’t want to go through that hurt again so a relationship is just not an option, especially with someone like Logan, who can dip and dash with the best of them. Whilst making her Cinderella-esque escape (minus the dance with prince charming and the loss of a slipper) she happens upon a crying woman and tries to comfort her. It is only after the woman disappears and she is flooded with overwhelming emotions that she realises that she has seen a ghost. After several turns and twists of fate, Allison and Logan find themselves drawn together against either of their better judgments, their connection and spark undeniable. I will say that I thought their relationship happened a little quickly, but then again I think that of most romances that are similar to this, and considering that this is a book about ghosts and empaths, I don’t think I should nit-pick about the speed of their relationship being unbelievable. I will say though that Pulkinen has a way of writing characters that makes them feel down-to-earth and relatable. Apart from my earlier issues with the whole party-thing, I found the characters likable and funny. Pulkinen really does do funny well and I really liked how she handled mental health in this. She managed to do it respectfully and with care, without losing the light-heartedness that made the book such a joy to read. I really do recommend Pulkinen and if you like this then you will definitely like License to Bite, that book is funny and steamy and just a delight to read.

5 Stars Nobody Knows (Razes Hell Book 1) by Kyra Lennon Nobody Knows is the first book in the Razes Hell series by Kyra Lennon. I absolutely loved this friends to lovers romance. I found myself lost in the pages and couldn’t put it down till I finished. The authors style of writing and attention to detail made me feel like I was right there with them. Ellie, Drew and Jason have been friends for a l9ng time. Drew and Jason are the boys next door who also happen to be in a band together. What will happen when theye is more than friends feelings involved? What will happen when a public stunt goes bad and the past is brought to present? I highly recommend reading this to find out what happens next. Do they get there HEA? I can’t wait to read more from this Author.

Never judge a book by its length. This audiobook may have been the shortest one that I’ve ever listened to, but it ranks as one of my top favorites. It has steam, hijinks and adventure in what is an amazing depiction of what happens ‘after’. I cannot wait to pick up the next book in the series. If you are a fan of the hippie movement and want to see a flower child stumble through what seems to be an amazing afterlife, grab this book, put on your headphones, and settle in!

Love At First Haunt (Haunted Ever After Book One) by Carrie Pulkinen was a great read! This was the second book I’ve read from Pulkinen and it did not disappoint! If you’re looking for a light paranormal novel that doesn’t get heavy, this book (and her others if I’m being honest) is for you. The storyline of this novel was really good and well written and I loved the characters. This book had me laughing and wanting to read ahead to find out what happens next. This is a Paranormal Crime novel and has around 267 pages. This story follows Tessa and Keith. Tessa has lost her parents and felt as the whole world was crumbling around her. She meets Keith, gets married, and feels like her life is finally turning around. She starts having dreams of a visitor and this visitor is persistent. Her husband is not who he says he is. The dam breaks and family secrets come tumbling out. This was THE most incredible read!
This book was a breath of fresh air. I remember reading the Nancy Drew mysteries growing up, and the shenanigans that Buccaneers get into remind me so much of those books. I think everyone needs a book like this in their library, whether they are young readers just starting out, or older readers who are looking for something to inspire nostalgia. If you are ready to get invested in a story with lovable characters, neat illustrations, and plenty of twists and turns, then crack open this adventurous tale!

This is such an emotional listen. This is things that happen in real life it can be hard to listen to. The way that this is portrayed is one of the best I’ve ever know. There is alot of history and side effects from family history.

What a cute little novella! A Hole is the first book in the Alpha Bet Guys series by Phoebe Alexander. 78 pages of laughter and love. Ace is an up and coming comedian whose career is just starting to take off. Ella is this curvy bank teller that doesn’t know what to think when it comes to Ace. Her friends are trying to dissuade her from giving Ace a chance. What do you think she will do and do you think Ace will back down? This book is full of great comedy and great characters. I was a bit skeptical at first but as I started reading I found myself not being able to put the book down! I read this so quickly and wanted to read more. I can’t wait for the next book in the series! I would recommend this book to anyone!

This is not my first book by Carrie Pulkinen. This book has a cute plot line and great characters. The plotline is a simple one but it is filled with comedy and a love story. The characters are fully developed and complex. This story is about Logan and Allison, Logan is an empath who has a wicked ghost in his house. Allison is a medium who has a hard time with ghosts. Logan is longing for a normal life but his visitor in his house will not leave him alone. Allison is a medium whose past has scars from ghosts. Logan wants to have a normal life and he hopes to have it with Allison. Allison does not like ghosts. She has dealt with some mean ones in her past. Will Allison be able to assist Logan? Will Logan get his normal life? I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens to Logan and Allison.

Love at First Haunt (Haunted Ever After Book 1) By Carrie Pulkinen 5 out of 5 stars
I loved reading the book Love at First Haunt (Haunted Ever After Book 1) by Carrie Pulkinen. It is a story that grabbed my attention from the very beginning. I loved the characters of Allison Gray and Logan Mitchell. Allison is an intelligent, independent, and gifted young woman. The gift that she has is not always used, which is by her choice. She also is not looking for a relationship. Then she meets Logan. Logan is funny, intelligent, and also not looking for a relationship. Then he meets Allison. What does the future hold for Allison and Logan? Read this book to find out. I also loved the additional characters that are introduced and read about the part that they play in the book. I loved the bantering back and forth between the characters. Don’t miss out on a story that is exciting and entertaining. I highly recommend it.

This is the second book in this series, I enjoyed it just as much as the first. This is a well developed book that will make you question whether or not you would do things over. If we did do things over would we make the same mistakes as the first time? For me I don’t think I would as I would not have the things I do now if I didn’t make mistakes. I enjoyed how easy this book was to read and understandable. I truly enjoyed this book and highly recommend it. If you are given a second chance, what would you do?

I enjoyed this shorter historical romance story. This is not my first book by this author but it is one of my favorites by her yet. This is a story that pulled me in right from the beginning and held my attention to the end. This is one of my favorite genes and time in history. This author has created characters that brought the story to life and made it feel realistic. I had no problem connecting to the characters and picturing myself in their lives. This is a sweet romance fairytale story that kept me turning pages to the end. It is full of curses, magic and even some humor. I highly recommend picking up this book, you won’t regret it.

Where Flowers Bloom A Romantic, Modern to Historical, Mystery By Nikki Valerie ☆☆☆☆☆ This full length novel has it all. Get ready to experience it all as well. This is a must read for those over 18. Due to adult content as well as steamy, frightening romance.
Kendyll, an author is about to take the adventure of a lifetime. Buying and moving into a new home is an adventure all on its own. But this house has a lot of history as well as needing to be brought to life. Kendyll has been engaged to Vance for years and is ready for the next step. But is Vance? Will this home be of his liking? Because Kendyll is about to venture into this historic home and make it her own.
Nikki Valerie is quite the writer. This story has it all! Her story is fast paced and will keep you on the edge of your seat. I love the characters and the parts they play. Some of this book feels like home. So much so I can see the Happily Ever After. Can you? This book holds a lot. So take the time to enjoy it as I have. Well Done Nikki Vale! WELL DONE!
This is the third book in this series, I enjoyed it just as much as the previous books. I highly suggest reading the previous two books to get to know the main character and help enjoy this series. This is a well rounded story that has characters that are creative and brings the story to life. Beck is talked into taking tennis lessons by her sister. What will happen when a tennis pro is murdered? I highly recommend finding out what happens when she helps the detective on the case. I really enjoyed the characters and what they bring to the story. They kept me engaged, this was worth the pick up.

The Traveler: Chimera Rising by Shannon Nemechek is the third book in the Book of Eleanor series. For me this is definitely a series that needs to be read in order so you can fully understand what is happening. This book picks up right from where the previous book ends meaning we are straight back into the story. It is a pretty fast paced book with plenty going on so it will be sure to keep you interested. Having read the previous books it really feels like you know the characters by this point. It feels like you are on the journey with them. The author has put in such detail that you can imagine it all so easily. This book has got to be my favourite out of the series so far and is a great addition. I am looking forward to seeing what else might be next.

Allison is a medium, healer and psychic and also afraid of ghosts after having a traumatic experience. She’s been betrayed by people and anyone with money cannot be trusted. Logan has his own demons, but he also is an empath only he doesn’t know it yet. He doesn’t trust his visions and they stop him from trying to live his life. Immediate attraction pulls them together both have issues that they need to overcome. They have great chemistry and if you like broken characters finding their happy ending this story is for you. I really liked Carrie’s writing and I cannot wait to see what happens in the next book because I love her series.

Killer Blonde is one of the best books I have read recently. Once you get into the story, you will be on the edge of your seat and not be able to put the book down! This was the first book I have ever read by Allan Evans, and he will definitely be on my must-read authors list. Killer Blonde is a suspense-filled cat and mouse game worthy of James Patterson. At the beginning of the book, you will immediately be drawn into the killer’s web of horror. Allan Evans successfully pulls humor into the story with character jokes and levity. I enjoyed that even the minor characters are likeable and fun to read about. The main character, Cade Dawkins, is lovable and a man you would want to protect you. You will identify with Cade’s honor and either want to be him or be married to him. This is your next must-read story!
