This is the second  book in the Deadly Isles Special Ops Series and I loved it. The author does an amazing job of grabbing your attention right at the beginning and not letting go. I love the mixture of romance and danger and the twists in the book is something I never saw coming.

Kayla has it all from the outside including the rich professional boyfriend. What people don’t realise is that the boyfriend is violent and abuse. After an incident that nearly cost Kayla her life she is forced to flee. She arrives home and gets help from an unlikely source.

Jaxon has always loved Kayla but after Kayla’s brother died in a car accident their relationship failed. Now he has her back in his life and he plans on keeping her there no matter the cost.
Can Kayla forgive Jaxon for all the secrets he’s kept surrounding her brother? Can Kayla trust Jaxon  enough to accept his help? Will she remain free of her ex boyfriend or will he seek her out for leaving him?
