My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Rebecca Remains is an entertaining and enjoyable suspenseful, mystery story with a paranormal twist, all of which had me hooked from page one. When Tessa Stevens meets her husband Keith, she thinks that all the tragedies and loss which she has suffered is now in her past. However, through her dreams a visitor makes Tessa see that her husband is not who he pretends to be. When this visitor starts appearing in her home and with her sister also having suspicions about Keith, Tessa starts to investigate. She uncovers family secrets and deceptions along with a mystery surrounding a decade old murder. Tessa’s ‘gift’ also awakens and she can no longer ignore it and in fact has to embrace it if she is to discover the truth. This was a wonderfully written fast paced novel which had me gripped from start to finish. The plot twists and turns kept me guessing and the paranormal element added an additional layer to the story. Tessa is a likeable character and she makes a great main character. The authors descriptive narrative really bought both the characters and the setting to life making me feel fully immersed in the storyline. I found this novel to be an engaging read which I would definitely recommend.
