Have you ever had that feeling that the nothingness was bliss? That you can’t understand why you’re here? That all consuming feeling that things would be better if you were gone? That’s the emotions this books brings me. I remember being a teen and feeling like I shouldn’t exist. Feeling like I’m just that random character in a story that passes everyone like a ghost on a ship. Even as an adult there are times when life is too much. This story was amazing for the simple fact that we all can relate. Even the most joyful person you know has felt that darkness. As a mom with a soon to be teen daughter I understand and feel the fear. The thought that my daughter could feel this way hurts. Knowing that all you can do is let them know you are here. Man the feels this book brought out is just ugh. If you’re ready to step into your teenage shoes again and get a glimpse of what today’s youth are feeling read this book.
