This is the second book I’ve read by Adams. Jinxed is another great read and I loved every minute of it. This is a short read.

This is the first book I’ve had the chance of reading by Adams. Minx is an amazing read and I can’t wait for the next book.

Key West Dead is the sixth book in Mark Nolan’s Jake Wolfe series. This book finds Jake and Cody in Key West, Florida and, as the title suggests, people die. There’s a crime to solve, and the stakes are high as the killer continues planting and detonating bombs. Cody is a great character, and this is another story where his talented nose is in high demand. We also see Cody, as well as Jake, dealing with their PTSD as well as the ongoing traumatic events. It doesn’t help that what was meant to be a nice, relaxed holiday has turned into a life-threatening case. It was good to see more of Sarah in this book as well! Although often sent off with friend Alicia while Jake and Cody are investigating, she gets in on the action as well as showing her openness to adventure and skills in handling a boat. For me, this is a four-star book in an enjoyable series. The Florida setting is fun – made me feel like I was on holiday! I’d recommend the series to mystery and crime fans who like canine characters as much as humans.

In Over Her Head: Lights, Camera, Anxiety is the second book in The Cecily Taylor Series by Krysten Lindsay Hager. I highly recommend reading this series in order as this picks up where the first book left off. This was a quick read for me considering I couldn’t put it down till I finished I had to know what was going to happen next. Cecily feels like she has it all, the boyfriend , best friend and a great job. Her best friend starts to ditch her more and more and she’s trying to adjust to her relationship with Andrew. This relationship is new to her considering she’s never had one quite like it before. But what will happen when she see a photo of Andrew with another girl? Will her world come crashing down around her? Will thete relationship be strong enough? Find out what happens next in this absolute must read. I can’t wait to read more from this Author.

This book is about a woman that is starting a new job as a secretary and a CEO. She has decided that she will not date in the office anymore so tries to fight her feelings for the hero. They end up having a meet cute in the sense that she has to take the boss to her first day of work and ends up sitting on a strangers lap, turns out the stranger is the CEO of the company. He wants to have a relationship with her, even goes as far as to invite her to lunch and not tell her who he is until afterwards, he figured out where she was starting and hide it.

This epic fantasy read kept me up feeling all kinds of emotions! Titania is the fearless character everyone loves to read about. Having to decide what is best for her and the kingdom is not an easy task. I love how the author ties in real life complications in a fae world. I also love Tricia Copelands descriptions of the fae world and their traditions! I will definitely be reading more from this author!

If you’re looking for something cute and relatively light, overall, this is a great choice. A few times, the book seems to move way too fast, and other times, it moves way too slowly, and some of the character relationships seem a little two-dimensional. However, overall, the main character has some interesting challenges she has to overcome. Though I did feel that I was somewhat “tossed into the world,” with very little explanation as to what was and wasn’t allowed to happen, you definitely pick it up fairly quickly. It’s a fun little adventure that I found myself captivated by, despite some of the things I thought I maybe didn’t like.

I was so excited to finally get the 2nd book in this series. I had to see where things were going for Cecily and Andrew. They have decided to give a relationship a try, but now he has to get back to work. Cecily is starting to have some anxiety about the distance between them. They have such a great connection between them, will they be able to make things work?
Of course there is a twist that will make Cecily question their relationship. In the middle of all this Cecily starts working on her modeling/acting career, being in the video got her some attention. The author does a great job with her writing and you feel like you’re right there with them. All of the secondary characters added a great element to the story, I really love Gran. To Be a Fae Queen is the first book in The Realm Chronicles by Tricia Copeland. This epic fantasy adventure is centered around a 15-year-old princess Titania, who is forced to take on the throne after the death of her three brothers. Her father trains her in weaponry, music, books and history making her a well-rounded capable woman. But, when the real calamity hits, he stonewalls his daughter and entrusts his army to trace the enemy. But when the army fails, Titania has to take the responsibility on herself to find this new enemy who is responsible of stealing something very valuable which belongs to her and her father. This is a coming-of-age adventure princess story filled with action, mystery and danger. Titania is a very fiery heroine, though I did feel her character is a bit too mature for the age. The challenges she faces are grave and the obstacles many. The crown comes with a hefty price to pay. How Titania embraces all these challenges forms a very captivating plot and I am looking forward for more of her adventures in the coming books.

In Plain Sight is the 3rd book in The Broken Bow Series written by Ashley A Quinn. This book is about a young man named Mason who is found hiding in Rayna’s field one fall evening while she is harvesting crops to sell at the farmers market. She quickly figures out that Mason needs help but he is distrustful of the police or being taken to the hospital. Rayna calls Thomas, her ex boyfriend who is the local vet to help with some of Mason’s injuries. Soon after Thomas gets involved helping Mason, they figure out that Mason is a victim of child trafficking. Rayna & Thomas are both caring adults and know people that can help Mason and hopefully find the other kids that we’re held captive at the same location. This book got my attention pretty quickly. Not only are the characters well thought out but I felt like I was transported into the story. I know child trafficking is a hard thing for many of us to read about but this was written well and got me thinking.

Evil Sushi is an amazing start of a new series by C.A. King. The imagination this author has makes her books such a pleasure to read. This book is hard to describe, but it is full of action, adventure, real life issues, horror, sci-fi and mysterious suspense. I am a Fantasy and YA book lover, but this is my first Fae novel… I wasn’t sure if I’d like it or not. I have to say that I was impressed. Tatiana is a great heroine, smart, fearless, brave, and compassionate. She knows her mind, and is unafraid to be stubborn and follow the paths her instincts tell her to be true. This book has all the markings of great YA lore: a gutsy hero, an adventure to save a kingdom, and many trials along the way for Tatiana to prove her worthiness, or die trying. She is a well-rounded character and as admirable as any in the face of battle. Her close compatriots are also very well crafted and diverse: Foster, her potential love interest; Kane, the loyal and smart general; Tatiana’s own father, the king, whom she admires and is often a confidante. I was very invested in the outcome, and impressed with the depiction of the magical world. Copeland is very skilled at drawing the reader in with her characters, beautiful word illustrations of Middle Earth, and lots of battles and tests to keep readers engaged. A good escape that I thoroughly enjoyed.

The Seal’s Temptation by Jacquie Biggar Four Stars
The Seal’s Temptation is the seventh book in the Wounded Hearts series by Jacquie Biggar. This is the first book I have read by this author, and I enjoyed this book, even though I wish I had read this series from book one. I will be going back to the beginning and probably re-read this book. I was sucked into this story from the very beginning. The twists and turns have my emotions scrambled. This book is full of action, adventure, action, and romance triangle. This book goes into details about PTSD. I think Ms. Biggar did a great job bring this issue and others to light. I would highly recommend this book, but you should try to read the first six books first.
To be a Fae Queen is the first book in it’s series. First read from this author for me and I love her work already. I felt this story was very well written and such a great read. Once started I was drawn into the magical world of the faes and had to know all that was happening, couldn’t set the book aside until finished. The characters were amazing, along with the story line. The story had magic, fae, drama, action, coming of age. Was very engaging throughout the entire story. I am really looking forward to what comes next of the fae world.

Evil Sushi by C.A. King is a story of paranormal suspense. It is an amazing thriller that I loved to read. I loved the original story that this came to be.
They aren’t zombies, by the way. They aren’t the undead in any way. They’re not like the rest. Just when you felt it was safe to go back for seconds, something unexpected happens. Evil Sushi flips the script, reintroducing beef to the menu. Two down-on-their-luck East Coast fishermen make a once-in-a-lifetime discovery that could end world hunger for good. I loved every page of it and was definitely not ready for the book to end. It brought me into their world and I enjoyed every second of it. I can’t wait to read book number two.

In Over Her Head: Lights, Camera, Anxiety (The Cecily Taylor Series Book 2) by Krysten Lindsay Hager. This is such a good book. Its the story of Cecily who seems to have it all together. She is beginning to work as a model, has a famous singer boyfriend and has the best friends but when things start falling apart she realizes she might not have it all together at all! Andrew has always been her rock, her go to but when he has a picture published with another beautiful girl Cecily starts to lose it. Cecily suffers from crippling anxiety which a lot of young adults suffer from. She sees the bad side of every situation even if it never happens. Andrew also has bad anxiety and that is why he and Cecily hit if off so well. They were always there for one another so when this picture is printed both of their worlds blow up. This is a touching story about a young girl and guy thrown into the spotlight at a very young age and the way they handle it. Will Cecily be able to deal with all the drama without Andrew and her best friends? A very good young adult novel.

I cannot get enough of The Broken Bow series by Ashley A Quinn! In Plain Sight is the third in the series, but could be read as a standalone if need be. I personally would recommend that you read the series in order to get the maximum enjoyment of all details and characters that build throughout. In this one we got the story of Rayna and Thomas, and they did not disappoint! I was so sucked in by this book that I read way past my bedtime for the first time in a long time. Three AM came so fast, but I was not one bit disappointed that I got to see how this thrilling romantic suspense novel would turn out. Quinn does a wonderful job of building the story and suspense as you read, that you often find yourself sitting on the edge of your seat. This book is one heck of a ride and may even tug at the emotional heart strings as well. I won’t divulge much more because that would just ruin the fun, but this is one you do not want to miss out on. I can’t wait to see what we will get in book four!

Although this is book 2 in the series, it is a standalone. This was a brilliant light hearted romance. Sophie has followed her best friend and moved to New Orleans. Now that she knows about the supernatural, she wants to fulfill her dream of being recognised as a witch; after all she has her late grandmother’s grimoire, so she must be a witch. Getting bitten by a werewolf and being accused of cursing the werewolf pack was not in her plans. Trace just wants to find his best friend and he thinks he knows just the witch responsible, only he hadn’t counted on biting and being so attracted to her.Together they try and solve the mystery of the missing wolf. I loved the interactions of all these characters, the lighthearted humour just made it so much more entertaining. I listened to this book on audio and the narration from Hollie Jackson is top class and she brings such a warmth to the characters that you can’t help love them. I would definitelyl isten to other books narrated by Hollie.

Jinxed (Hell on Heels Book 2) by Maggie Adams 4 Stars!!!!
Man this book is small and mighty and packed with intrigue and a dash of romance to boot. I really was quite taken back how short this book is but how effective the story was. The author has really packed this book and it lives up to the saying good things come in small packages.#
I really liked Sadie and rooted for her from ths start. I am so glad that she stayed and fought. The author really brings her to life and with her friends I felt as though I was right there with them. I could feel all her anxieties and fears. I really like how the author has written this and find her refreshing. I will definitely be reading more from her and this series.

Seductive Prey by Vivian Fiano is the first book in the Relentless Trilogy. This book will absolutely leave you on the edge of your seat and wanting more. Found that I instantly connected with the characters, Grant and Jordan. They worked really well together and were believable right from the start. For me this just added to the story as I felt like I was more engaged with it as a whole. The author has done a great job of creating a book that will have you hooked from page one as well as desperately waiting for book two. This book does end on a cliffhanger but something tells me it is I’ll be worth it! This is well written and an exciting read, everyone should pick this book up today!
This is the second book in the Hell on Heels series and I really enjoyed this. It is a short read but you get a complete story and it’s a gripping on.

I loved this book. This is an author that has continued to impress me with her writing skills and her attention to details that make her stories feel realistic. This book is no different. This is the fourth book in this series which I highly suggest reading from the beginning to help your enhancement of this series. I loved being pulled into the story by the characters. This is a fast paced fantasy story that kept me not only engaged but turning pages to the end. This is Jaru’s story. All he wants is to prove himself so he opens up a business until his life sinks back down. He doesn’t have much time for his best friend and starts to question whether or not he is good enough for him. This is where the story takes a turn and if he will save his best friend and their relationship? I loved these characters and what they bring to the story. I highly recommend this book and this author.

I did not realise this was part of a series and is the first book I read in it. Although you don’t need to read them it would probably be best as I think it refers to previous books quite abit. I did really enjoy it though. Full of drama, romance and raw emotion.
