My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This was such a gripping and deep read! I have not read Ms. Fiano before and this could not have been a better introduction to her! This book is everything my dark suspense and romance reader heart could have ever wanted. I loved how the characters felt real and relatable as I read them, almost feeling as if I was right there as they experienced the suspense. I was not expecting that ending but it sure has my heart racing waiting for book two! If you love a bit of a twist here and there and some deep thoughtful undertones to your romance, this is the book for you. I look forward to seeing what else may be available by Vivian Fiano as well.

While I thoroughly enjoyed the books 1-3 and the rawness of Lexi’s and Lucca’s love for each other, I couldnt finish the rest of the series. The writing was really good and it brought you literally into Lexi’s mindset. The abuse scenes got to be a little much for me and i had to skip some parts of it. I would recommend to my my friends, but I wouldnt recommend it to those who have gone through abuse. Lexi’s development through all 3 books was nicely paced out. You could see her growth and there were some parts that weren’t realistic, but still added to the story. Overall I enjoyed the Authors storytelling and her writing style.

Relentless: Dark Billionaire Mafia Romance (Billionaire Bodyguards Book 4) by Via Mari – Review by Naomi McDonald

RelentlessRelentless by Via Mari
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Relentless is the fourth book in the Billionaire Bodyguard series. You can read it as a standalone, but it’s a good idea to read the previous ones as there are some tie ins.
I’m going to start off by saying that the repeated use of the endearment ‘Princess’ grated on me. Pretty sure that’s a personal preference thing, though. Outside of that, the story is pretty good. Definitely full of the drama, danger, intrigue, and steamy scenes you would expect to find in a mafia romance series.

Sure As Hell (Life Is Hell Book 4) by Naomi Valkyrie – Review by Jennifer Gordon

Sure As Hell (Life is Hell #4)Sure As Hell by Naomi Valkyrie
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

A wonderfully written paranormal romance which had me hooked from page one. The author has created a detailed world which is bought to life by the descriptive narrative. I felt fully immersed in the story and engaged with the likeable and relatable characters. Imp and former contract companion Jaru Fane just wants to prove himself and although outwardly he looks confident inside he feels as though he is falling apart. Luckily he has the support of his Juniper Lake family and decides to start his own contract companion business. However, this means that Jaru’s best friend and prankster Lark becomes lonely and so he decides to make sure that Jaru knows he still exists. This results in their relationship developing but when Lark is in danger it’s Jaru’s bodyguard Soren that can help not him. Although Soren can keep Lark safe Jaru worries he may have lost him for good. The storyline flows well and the plot kept me happily turning the pages but it was the characters and their complex relationships that had me gripped. Although this novel is part of a series it can be read as a standalone story but the characters do crossover. I look forward to future books in the ‘Life is Hell’ series.

Considering I jumped into this series with Book 4 I can honestly say that this author did a tremendous job writing with so much detail. I do believe that this book would be better enjoyed having read the first three but I had no problem whatsoever starting from here. The author provided enough detail and information that I was able to piece stuff together as I was introduced to these wonderful characters.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book from start to finish. I loved the dual POV, the character development and the never a dull moment storyline. I quickly found myself intrigued and captivated by these characters and their complex and dynamic lives, having finished this book now I am really looking forward to starting this series from the beginning!

My Sweet GI AUDIO BOOK by T.L Wainwright – Review by Kerry Baker

My Sweet GI Audio Book by T.L. Wainwright is a brilliant historical romance that has such an attention to detail. I loved listening to this book right from the start. The narrator has been picked perfectly for this book. They really captured the accents and the areas so well. Being from the area myself it really helped me picture everything in so much more detail and I felt like I was right there with the main character at all times.

I thought the story was good as well. It was more emotional than I expected it to be and there were a few times that I could have cried for Jenny. Her journey was such a difficult one and yet she was determined to do the best that she could. My only criticism about this book would be that the revelation toward the end seemed a bit far fetched. It feel like the author could have written it in a way that still achieved their goal but also made a little more sense. However this didn’t take away too much from how much I enjoyed this book.

I loved this story. While short and sweet, it was absolutely well pieced together and the story moved smoothly. It did not feel rushed and each chapter rolled into the other without feeling lost in the story as if having missing important information.
The chemistry between Stone and Adeline is quick and fantastic. It burns hot and quick and I love the banter and quick wit that Adeline has.
This book is for lovers of YA, and Romance. This is a solid 5 out of 5 stars.

THE HUSBAND (21ST Century Courtesan #4) by Pamela DuMond writing as P. S. DuMond – Review by Karyn Taylor

HUSBAND (21st Century Courtesan Book 4)HUSBAND by Pamela DuMond
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The Husband is the 4th book in the excellent 21st Century Courtesan series by Pamela DuMond. I have been a fan of this series since the first book and was excited to get to read the next instalment in Evie’s story.
In The Husband, Evie is grieving over the death of the love of her life Wyatt, who she married when he was dying, but is confused over her feelings for Wyatt’s brother Easton. Added to the mix is her long term boyfriend Dylan, as if her life wasn’t complicated enough.
I really loved reading the next instalment of Evie’s story, although I still haven’t come to term with Wyatt’s death. I really hoped that Wyatt would be the man that Evie finally has her happily ever after with but Pamela DuMond has other ideas. I really can’t wait to read the final book in the series to see who finally captures Evie’s heart for good.
We get more from Evie’s ‘devoted fan’ in this book and they give away several clues as to their identity which I’m sure will also be revealed in the final book.
I’m now rooting for Easton to be the man who finally ensnares Evie. I love the two of them together and their interactions are hot and steamy which is fun to read.
This is a great addition to this series. However, I would not advise reading this book without reading the other first as I think this book would be too confusing to read as a standalone.

The Earl and the Peahen (The Scarlet Salon Book 5) by Jean Wilde – Review by Jennifer Gordon

The Earl and the PeahenThe Earl and the Peahen by Jean Wilde
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I thoroughly enjoyed this engaging and wonderfully written historical romance. Although book five in ‘The Scarlet Salon’ series by Jean Wilde it can be read as a standalone story. I loved the characters and I was swept along by the romantic storyline. The descriptive narrative really made both the era and the setting come to life and I felt fully immersed in the story. I was hooked from page one until the last page. The main characters, Jane Mayfield the plain spinster and the peacock dandy, Alexander Gordon, the Earl of Norwich, were both likeable and relatable. Although Jane can not compete with the young debutantes who have generous dowries she is determined that during her London season she will make an advantageous love match. Alexander Gordon is lonely and wants a family but he is also looking for love. Although Jane captures his attention she’s not the ideal match he had in mind. After a case of mistaken identity the couple end up imprisoned by a professional criminal. As Jane and Alexander are imprisoned together romance blossoms but once they are freed Jane wonders if their mutual attraction will last. The couple definitely have chemistry which came across in the writing and I was hoping they would get their happy ever after. I could not put this book down and I definitely recommend it.

Relentless: Dark Billionaire Mafia Romance (Billionaire Bodyguards Book 4) by Via Mari – Review by Angela Hayes

RelentlessRelentless by Via Mari
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

4 ½ Stars

Relentless is the fourth book in the Billionaire Bodyguards series by Via Mari. It is another engrossing romantic suspense from Via Mari. The story is full of danger, drama, action, mystery, suspense, a sex trafficking ring, secrets, intrigue, chemistry, and a whole lot of sizzle.
As with the rest of the series, this book could be read as a standalone, as each book in the series focuses on a different couple. But, having said that, I really recommend reading the previous three books before starting on this one, because not only are they great stories in their own right/s- but there are also recurring characters who you will want to know more about and a bridging storyline with interconnected details, and crossovers of timelines, settings, and events- so knowing what happens in each book will definitely enhance your appreciation of this story, and the series as a whole.
I have followed Via Mari from her first book in the Prestian series all the way through all her book, so I know I can always count on her to deliver a superb romantic suspense with palpable tension, sizzling chemistry, dramatic developments, and surprising twists. But it’s not all action and suspense- there is banter, comradery, friendships, lighter moments, and plenty of depth and emotion, which really makes her work so captivating.
So, buckle up and get set to follow Dereck and Layla, as all the excitement and drama unfolds!

Thank you, Via Mari!

I was very surprised by this audiobook; it was very engaging and captivating. You could feel their chemistry coming off the words and narration. I could not stop listening to it. As I was listening I was cheering for Adeline’s character to find her happily every after what that meant for her, she is such a strong woman that it is nice to see her vulnerable through parts of the book.

What an adorable story about working through feelings. I read this with my almost 6 year old daughter. She has been learning in kindergarten about trying new things and the feelings that go with that so this was a perfect companion book to open those conversations even more. We both loved that Jake’s best friend was a squirrel, in real life we sometimes have the most unlikely of friends and this was perfect! Jake even took his stuffy to daycare to help him be more comfortable.

As a mom, I loved that there were activities and prompts to discuss even more about what we learned in the story. I think my favorite was about ways to comfort. My daughter uses stuffed animals to help comfort her and she got so excited when she saw Jake’s bunny. In this world of uncertainty, it was nice to read a story for young children about ways we can cope with those feelings and that they are normal feelings to have.

This book starts off with a bang. Literally. And wow, does the story only grow page by page. I am not usually a fan of this genre, but it was recommended by a friend so I thought I would give it a read. And I am glad that I did. I could see this story becoming a TV movie with all the action and romance taking place. I don’t think it would be a good fit for Hallmark but would be perfect for the Lifetime channel thanks to the murder and mystery that keep you in suspense. I loved the way the characters worked to solve their crime and even included a bomb sniffing dog as well. I love animals so it’s always nice to see them get their share of a story line too. I haven’t read any of the previous books featuring these two detectives, but after reading this one I certainly plan on it.

Reading book one is not necessary in order to follow this story, but I highly recommend it as it follows a family and adds more enjoyment to this book. I loved Mia and the interaction with Nicholas made me laugh out loud at times. She’s got the sass that I just love.

This book had all that you would want in a story, and I can see me wanting to read these again in the future, and I can’t forget the recipes, I just can’t say enough about this book..It is awesome!

I truly enjoyed this Boxset and reading about Lexi and her journey from dark to light. I found myself on the edge of my seat throughout the books and my emotions were all over the place. There are dome scenes that may be a trigger for some and a couple times I had to walk away for a bit and then picked right back where I left off. I really enjoy historical romance and I loved this one. The author’s writing pulls you right in. This is the 5th book in The Scarlet Series but can be read as a stand alone.

This is Jane and Alexander’s story. Jane is determined to find love. She meets Alexander and it’s not love at first sight. They are total opposites and I had a LOL moment with the nickname she gave him. Moving forward they find themselves in a predicament that will throw them together and they grow closer.

Will they get home safely? Will they get a HEA or will they go back to the way things were?

Overall this was a great historical read. I really liked Jane and Alexander. If you’re looking for a read that pulls you right in, 1-click and start reading this one today. I look forward to reading more from this author.

A thriller to say the least! It begins with a tragedy that throws Ann Winter’s life into disarray. As the story goes on, you discover that things are not what they seem, and tragedy strikes one after another. Who can you trust? Who is responsible? The story keeps you second guessing the answers to these questions. The major plot twist was clear from the beginning, but the more detailed and nuanced story still took some unexpected turns. After about the halfway point, I could not put it down until I finished it! I would have preferred to have a bit more mystery leading to the revelation of the main plot twist and I would have liked to see more detail and twists after it was revealed. In general, a captivating and quick read, perfect for a young adult audience.

What’s good for the goose is good for the gander, right?”
