Cam, a young college student, is chosen out of thousands of others to help establish a new community on an island outside of Australia. The result of a deadly viral outbreak worldwide, August Island quickly develops a community. Working hard, making friends, and finding love, Cam is content. Until Freyja, his partner, goes missing. Cam sets out on a journey to find her, in the process finding himself and discovering other communities. This story is wonderfully told, and was hard to put down. Set in a post-apocalyptic world, Antipodes is realistic, funny at times, and heartbreaking at others. A must read for anyone who enjoys adventure novels, Antipodes is a fantastic story of rebuilding life from the ground up. Definitely a 5 star read!
