My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Kissing Scars by Jim Shomos is an imaginative and captivating story that pulled me in completely effortlessly. From the moment I saw the cover of this book I just fell in love. It was so bright and eye grabbing that I knew I had to read it. The model used was perfect and it made me like the character before I read a single word.
The story backed up the cover. Within a couple of pages I had been drawn into Sanaya and Leo’s story. The writing was so engrossing and the story just flowed so well. I became fully engaged in their journey and wanted to see how everything would play out.
This is a new author to me and I was impressed with the writing style. There was an easy pace to it and the story seemed to be developed perfectly. Everything was well thought out. I thought the story itself felt fresh and interesting – a contemporary love story that didn’t feel like it had been done many times before. I fully enjoyed this book and I can’t wait to read more by this author.
