My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I am a big fan of Manda Mellett’s and always look forward to a new Satan’s Devils MC novel coming out and as usual I was not disappointed by this latest instalment. The storyline is set within the San Diego chapter of the Satan’s Devils MC and is book three in the series. This story focuses on ex marine and biker Niran and Saffie, who meet at the hospital when Niran takes Grumbler’s ‘Old Lady’ Mary to a prenatal appointment. Saffie is also there for an appointment and gets some life changing sad news. Saffie is on the run from a horrific past and feels as though she is falling apart when she meets Niran, Niran sees that Saffie is a strong women who is hurting and needs a friend, which is what they become at first. When they first meet Niran is not wearing his Cut and is in his truck so Saffie does not realise he is part of a MC straightaway and when she finds out it’s like her worst nightmare. However, with her past catching up with her she also realises that she needs Niran by her side.

This novel takes you on an emotional rollercoaster whilst reading it and as it’s part one of two it does end on a very dramatic cliffhanger, so I am impatiently waiting for part two now. This is a very dark and intense read which deals with very harrowing themes which may be triggers for some. Having said that as usual the story is wonderfully written and the authors descriptive narrative brings the Satan’s Devils MC setting and characters to life. I felt fully immersed in the storyline and the dramatic plot kept me both gripped and hooked from start to finish. This is an engaging romantic suspense MC novel which I could not put down and I am looking forward to part two especially following that cliffhanger ending……
