My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is such a beautiful book to read. The author does an amazing job of building the scene so you feel like you are actually in Venice and experiencing all the things our leading lady Gianna is seeing and feeling.
This is a romance but I love how this romance comes across as a love that was created years before. You are taken on a breath taking ride which leaves you questioning things you thought and falling in love with the people who lived in Venice in the past as well as the present.

Gianna was hired to help restore a beautiful piece of art. Created years ago but an artist and pictured his love for a woman. However their love wasn’t meant to be and they both died tragically. While Gianna is working on this she experiences dreams and visions of the people in their past lives. Who they were, why they couldn’t be together and the heartbreak then both suffered all helps her feel the complete  story.
While Gianna is working she meets a guy called Sergio. The attraction between them is instant and when they solve the puzzle of the missing part of the picture together you have to think is their meeting and romance coincidence or is it part of a higher plan? Is fate finally allowing the love that should have happened the first time to blossom or will the spirits of the past stop it all over again.
