I’m in love with the crime family world in this book. Also loved the enemy to lovers, second chance, and dark romance tropes.

I loved reading more about Mila and Dane, and seeing their tension filled journey back to each other. Sons of Sindicato may have whet our taste for this book, but Brink of Denial delivers in ways I didn’t know I needed. The sexual tension and chemistry between Mila and Dane is there from the beginning, however it’s a love-hate relationship. They have to overcome 11 years of tension to find their way back to each other as anything but a booty call. In the meantime they have to deal with the drama and rising tensions within the Sindicato, as well Mila’s former lover extorting her with a secretly recorded sex tape.

I enjoyed reading about a strong female lead. Mila has the guts to do things and to stand up for herself. She’s not the quintessential crime family princepessa to be coddled and protected. Sure she needs help here and there, but she tries to get it done on her own first. I also enjoyed the character growth of Dane; him starting out bitter and jaded, and willing to do harm to anyone who stood in his way, to accepting that he can still love Mila despite the past.

Trigger warning for description of rougher sex (non-BDSM), as well as fictional murder, gruesome assault, and crime associated with a mafia family.

Sarah is looking for a “friend with benefits” and James is looking for a hot distraction until he’s ready to settle down. These two light up the pages with their heat. It’s refreshing to read about people who represent different lifestyles and relationship types. There is not nearly enough representation in literature of alternative lifestyles. When feelings start to delve deeper and relationships need to be reexamined hearts can be broken. I’m very much looking forward to reading the next book!

Brink of Denial: A Dark Mafia Romance by Sonya Jesus & Cam Johns is a must read!

Mila had a vision and she would not be swayed, even if it meant walking away from family and love. So she did just that… she walked away. Now, after 11 years, she finds herself wanting what she walked away from.

What a ride!!! This book is a grand mixture of fun, action, laughs, heart, tragedy, and steam. This book has so many exciting twists and revelations, I could barely keep my wheels on the road.

Sophie is young, fun, and social. She has a job she mostly enjoys and is living a life in London with her best friend, Zoe, by her side. Zoe is excited to start a new job for an enigmatic billionaire. Zoe soon meets and starts dating the billionaire. As Zoe’s relationship progresses, Sophie feels that Zoe is pulling away until she is gone. Suddenly, Zoe shows up on Sophie’s doorstep asking for help to get away from the abusive billionaire. This was a thrilling 5 star read, I was pulled in right from the start. The beginning has you thinking all hearts and roses until things come crashing down on Dane. All the plans he had made were all destroyed when he found a piece of paper.

We jump ahead to the present and Dane is still a very angry and scary man. Ever since his heart was torn out by Mila. Mila had wanted more for her life and she tried to get away from the family by moving away and leaving everything behind including the man she loved. When she finds herself in trouble she reaches out to Dane. Will he be able to help her?

She just needs a little more time and then she will come home. But when the man you still love “Hates you” how are you going to make him change his mind?

Overall this was a great read. The moments between these two were intense and very steamy at times. You could feel for both of them and you want nothing more than a HEA for them. The secondary characters added a great element to the story. The authors do a great job with their writing and you feel things right along with the characters. My heart was pounding along with Mila’s several times. I can’t wait to read more from this series. 1-click and get started today.

This is not normally my kind of book, but I liked it. The author’s portrayal of Mac was so sexy though. I love a confident alpha male! I loved the way Serenas mind worked. I loved how she considered inviting herself to the barbecue in the beginning. The suspense was great and I like the feeling of trying to figure out why so much was happening to her as it kept me turning the pages. It’s a great short read that I definitely recommend.

Ava Alise takes us an amazing journey of being best friends to more.
Jordan and Xia were best friends from conception in the womb. Every good memory and moment was one they shared and celebrated together. Each had feelings for other but kept that silence scared to cross the line. Every moment of the friendship took them to the present and reflected how perfect they would be together. When a drunken night turns into more it soon becomes a scared reality for each. Is this meant to be, or was this mistake. Throw in family struggles, lost loves, meddling ex-girlfriends, and friends cheering on the sidelines.
Jordan and Xia were young but mature. Watching their love unfold wa beautiful and it lit that spark that love like that does and can exist. Its a book I highly recommend.

Being polyamorous and part of the LBGTQ community this book touched my heart in special ways. Dr. Sarah Lynde is a very sex positive woman. She is comfortable in her skin and knows who she is. Sarah is on the lookout for a friend with benefits when she meets the very handsome Army First Sergeant James McAllister. Meeting at a lecture Sarah gives about the military’s don’t ask, don’t tell policy they meet up for coffee for a continuing discussion. Their views differ but the attraction and electricity between them is undeniable. Sarah is hesitant for a serious relationship after her marriage ended in a disaster and James having served in Afghanistan and having a failed marriage is also a little reluctant.
I love all the discussions about their status and feelings; in a polyamorous relationship communication is very important. It was nice to see that portrayed so wonderfully and realistically. The feelings Sarah had about telling James that she was polyamorous for fear of how he would feel about it, were perfectly on the mark!!

This is my first read by Ms. Dunn and I can say that I am very impressed, Red Coat by Isobella Dunn is a great read with lots of different elements in play. I was hooked on Ms. Dunn’s story within the first few pages and couldn’t stop reading until I had finished the book. Ms. Dunn gives us a suspense romance full of emotions, drama, intrigue, mystery and more. Her characters not only had brilliant descriptions, but she made sure that all of their emotions were in order for this story. Depending on your background this book can contain triggers for certain scenarios and emotions, but over all Ms. Dunn does a beautiful job of telling a foster kid story. This story was so wonderfully descriptive and detailed that I look forward to reading more from this author.

Oh my goodness, this book was amazing. I was captivated from start to finish. I wish I could give more than 5 stars because it deserves more. Jessica Aiken Hall is a literary wizard.

I simply cannot spoil this book because it was so good and was so fun to try to figure the mystery out, but I will make a few comments on it!

The characters were just amazing. They had so much depth and persona to them that I loved or hated them depending who they were! Her scene details were immaculate and gave me literal goosebumps. Reading it felt so realistic, it was like I was there, spooky! Without giving too much away, the way she weaved this intricate and amazing plot is simply astounding. It had me invested in this mystery and reading every and any opportunity I could. Just when I thought I had things figured out, BAM, another bombshell was dropped; but it all fit in perfectly. It wrapped up so nicely with a perfect and just conclusion.

10/10 will be stalking this author to fangirl over her work.

Wosar takes Underworld to a whole new level. This novel is set in the future. While I enjoyed reading it, it left me a little confused. More so because I started with book 2 instead of reading them in order. L.D. Wosar is a wonderful author. Wosar takes an imaginative step into the future and describes what could happen.

This was an interesting shifter/human romance and the first book from TK Lawyer I have read.

The good: I absolutely love how flawed her characters are. They get mad, jealous, and have insecurities that don’t just magically disappear once they say “I love you”. They have trauma and fears that hold them back and provide obstacles they struggle to overcome. Her descriptions are realistic and her spicy scenes are classy and hot.

The different: (slight spoiler alert) The first half of the book was mildly uncomfortable to me as the main character was bonding a bit too closely with the dog/wolf for my personal tastes. She acknowledged it was wrong but it still made me feel awkward reading her reactions to the dog/wolf showing affection. I’m aware it’s a mate bond, but human to animal physical connections don’t do it for me. Once he revealed his true self the book really took off and was great.

Overall it was a good read as Lawyer has a great imagination and a wonderful way with words.

I took this story to be a great guide to assist anyone who has a special needs child(ren) in their life. Her journey with Emma and her ups and downs. She gives great resource information so that you do not feel alone in the journey. There are a lot of emotions not only the caregiver go through but the other members of the family. I finished this book in one sitting and had to have kleenex next to me. I highly recommend this book to everyone and anyone who wants to understand what the family unit endures. Thank you Dr. Marcia for your wonderful story.

I found myself unable to put this book down as I was hooked from page one by the romantic and suspenseful storyline. Set in Italy the author really bought the cobbled streets and waterways of Venice to life with her detailed and descriptive narrative, and I felt as though I was there with the main characters. Artist and conservator Gianna Bellini leaves on the first flight to Italy when she gets her dream job in Venice, to restore and complete a century old fresco painting. She develops a relationship with a native Venetian, Sergio Vitale after he rescues her when she trips at a cafe by a canal. Gianna asks Sergio for his help in discovering the unfinished design when she finds a panel of the fresco painting is missing.

The longer Gianna is in Venice the stronger the feelings of familiarity that she’s been experiencing become and she starts to believe that she has been to Venice before but not in her lifetime. When she starts having vivid dreams and hear’s haunting whispers she’s even more convinced that she has a connection to the floating city and to the mystery of the unfinished fresco. Sergio is determined to help Gianna uncover the mystery and wants to ensure that they have a future together. I loved Gianna and Sergio as they were both very likeable and relatable characters. The chemistry between the couple and how their relationship developed was very natural and realistic. The storyline had the right mix of romance and suspense and the plot kept me gripped from start to finish. Although part of a series ‘Moonlit Kiss’ can happily be read as a standalone story and I definitely recommend this engaging read.

I’ll See You Again is my first book by KG Fetcher. So good! This is book four in the Reigning Hearts series. I didn’t feel like I had missed a thing, although I will be going back and reading the other 3! Nicky and Mac are just so amazing. You can feel the heat and attraction popping off the page. If the great writing wasn’t enough, KG Fletcher is the voice of the book as well. I love listening to audiobooks with a great Scottish accent!

Bound by secrets is a page turner and worth more than 5 stars. I couldn’t put it down. I absolutely loved the story line. Kayla’s in a bad relationship having only one option… Run, she heads home and comes face to face with her past, Jaxon. Jaxon and Kayla are perfect for each other and are still so in love. Will the secrets of the past keep them apart or bring them back together stronger than before. The villain in the book was a twist I didn’t see coming and was shocked when it was revealed. I can’t wait to read the other books by Amy Mckinley.

I had no idea what I was getting myself into when I picked up Red Coat by Isobella Dunn for an afternoon in the sun by the pool. I was so engrossed in this book though that I quickly found myself with a bit of a sunburn and a book hangover. This was quite the enthralling read and I was completely taken away into Sara’s world. She made me want to reach in and hug her and Rachel several times. This book really was layered with elements of romance and mystery but also brought drama and coming of age in as well. I enjoyed the way Dunn balanced the heavy and made it feel as if you were able to enjoy it in any setting, like I said I enjoyed this by the pool but also could have found myself enjoying this under the blankets on a cold rainy day. I look forward to seeing what else might be available by Isobella Dunn and what may come next.

This story is a good, quick read. The characters are well developed, and the plot is fantastic. I really enjoyed the changing point of views throughout the chapters. Vanessa is a relatable female protagonist and I was rooting for her until the last page. I can’t wait to read the next installment in the Her Three Immortals series.5/5 stars

After reading Sons of Sindicato I had high hopes for this book, but unfortunately it didn’t live up to expectations.

I did not like Mila at all, and she didn’t grow on me throughout the book, in fact, I think I liked her less the more I read.

Mila and Dane grew up together, were extremely close and were expecting to stay together, but the way she blind sided him and abandoned everyone without any explanation just didn’t make sense. How could nobody know anything about it. The way she kept him hanging on for 11 years was disappointing. I really couldn’t understand how he would still be interested, especially after all the attention and problems she puts on the families. The only reason she came back was because she had to after everything came to light, not because she could no longer stay away from him. I just couldn’t see the love in the relationship, I’d was all about sex and control. I would have liked to have seen more tender moments, where it looks like they might actually care about each other.

What I did really enjoy were the conversations between Seth and Dane. I loved their relationship and the chats they had.

I enjoyed the sindicato storyline, there were lots of things going on to keep track of, but they also all interweaved with each other.

Sister Gia also came into her own a lot more in this book. She’s no longer the little girl being kept sheltered at home.

The ending was very unexpected and will create a ton of problems for the family going forward.

I’ll See You Again by K.G. Fletcher is a fantastic story that I was pulled into straight away. Nicky and Mac are just brilliant characters. They fit together so well from the start and I was really wanting them to find a way to make things work.

I thought it that narration on the book was good as well. I could feel the passion in the story telling and I could easily distinguish between each character. They were all given their own voice and it made it brilliant to listen to. This author has easily become one of my go to authors and I will definitely be adding her to the list for audio books too!

This is my first audio by this author and I was excited to pick it up. This is an author that I have read a ton of her books. This audio is just as great as her books. I enjoyed how the narrator brings the story to life. Her voice pulled me into the story from the start. They made me want to keep listening and wanting more. The characters are relatable and just brought the story to life. This is Nicky and Mac’s story. Nicky dreams of true love. Mac is a famous singer who is on the edge of stardom. Once he meets Nicky he is stricken with love instantly. What will happen when he invites her to his kickoff tour? When Nicky hits the headlines will it change things for them? This is a great romance audio that I highly recommend listening to.

Next Door To A Star Krysten Lindsay Hager is a wonderful YA story that is so reminiscent of being that age. The author has done a fantastic job of making the characters so relatable that you connect with them easily.
The story is perfect for someone who is in high school as it touches on what they must be experiencing now. But at the same time it is also enjoyable for adults to read. I thought this was a sweet story and I really enjoyed every second of it. I would definitely say it is worth your time.

A riveting and romantic tale of the sassy Kendall and her contentious relationship with her lawyer boss. This story proves there is usually more to a person than they let on. Kendall discovered just that with a work trip she dreaded. I REALLY enjoyed this book to the point of getting nothing else done, because I didn’t want to turn it off!! I also really liked both narrators and the fact the book is written from both perspectives of the main characters. Very enjoyable way to spend 8 or 9 hours!

The Don is the first in it’s series and I’m ecstatic that there is more to come! The ending….WOW! It was a bit of a cliffhanger, so as cliffhangers go…I want to, no scratch that I NEED to read more!! Loved this book! Really GREAT start to the series. New to me author, love her talent and the writing was interesting and such a fun plot. The characters were EXCELLENT! Sooo can’t wait to see where the author will go in the series!

A unique and intriguing must read!

Where should I begin?!?! This story is a tale as old as time. Two sworn enemies who fall into a forbidden romance. A love that is so big they are willing to risk everything including death to have it. The story of Werewolves and Vampires warring with one another has been told many times before, but this has a twist no one sees coming! Thia is a romance, paranormal and mystery book all wrapped into one. It truly has something for everyone. When the book started I thought it would just be about a secret relationship between the two and how they hid it from everyone, but it wasn’t! Obviously their relationship is a huge part of the book but CR Robertson has outdone herself and made it so much more than just that. And to top it all off she didn’t kill me with a huge cliffhanger. There are so many unanswered questions that I’m just burning to get the answers to, but I feel happy to wait for more because she ended it in such a perfect way! I can’t wait to see what’s next in this series and to read her other books!

Wow I’m not sure where to start with this book. Every book I have read by Stuart Ledwith has been an eye opening read. They allow us insight and access to people’s stories that we never would have been able to experience. This book is about a amazingly brave woman. Marieekela had so much pain and heartache in her life and the things she experienced is enough to make anyone want to just give up. Marirrkela slowly grew and recovered to become a strong woman, who found love from the people who helped her.
At the end of the day though her heartache of losing the love of her life to war sees her finding no escape from the pain except to be with him.

The beautiful thing about this story is that once she has passed you really feel all the love from the people around her. We learn that when we pass our souls carry on and the hopefulness I felt when she is reunite with her love is amazing. For me personally it is a story of heartache and pain but also of love and hope that in the future we will be reunited with our loved ones.
