Grave Digger Academy (Grave Digger Academy Series Book 1) by C.A. King – Review by Robbyn Perkins

Grave Digger AcademyGrave Digger Academy by C.A. King
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Makayla, the main character, finds herself at a point in her life where she has to make decisions that impact her future. She, like all of her other siblings, has to pick out the top three academies that will help her secure her future goals in life in this wonderfully written fantasy world. Unfortunately, she was denied entry into the three she chose. And now she finds herself in The Grave Digger Academy, the last place anyone wants to be. She is about to learn a hard lesson with quirky corpses that are not like she expected.

The author, C.A. King, does a phenomenal job with the story line. I love how the story has a Harry Potter setting and tone. In this book you find a young adult fantasy world mixed with magic and intrigue. I felt like i was part of Makayla’s life as she develops her personality and skills that will carve out her future. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series.
