This book is an amazing retelling of important moments in American history from a personal stand point. I felt my heart ache and pull as I was reading the realities of some of these people.
The grandiose these of slavery could not have been described in a better way than through these accounts/stories from each person.
It made one understand and feel their personal experiences that you just dont get from reading a history book.
