I will begin with saying I loved this book. Read it in one day and could not put it down. This is the first book I have read by author Anise Storm. I will be looking for more with no doubt. This book had me feeling all kinds of things. I was thrilled, conflicted, heartbroken, angry, frustrated, and optimistic. The connection between Charlotte and Hawke was one of ice and passion. They had an undeniable connection. She is a submissive and Hawke a dominant. She has a great stubborn attitude which I loved. She is a submissive but still is so strong and speaks her mind before thinking it out most of the time. This gets her into some interesting situations. Hawke is a troubled and haunted man so has been through more than any human ever should. Hawke hires her to plan the opening masquerade ball at his new business Syn, a BDSM club. Spark and fire will fly. I say again I loved this book and will be looking for book 2.

I enjoyed this romance story. This is a newer author for me which I enjoyed her writing skills and her use of attention to details to give the story life. The characters are full of life and emotion. They are connectable and made the story easy to read. This is a story about friendship, life and love. It is the first book of the series and what a great start to the series. Chloe has never been in a relationship before and then you have Chris who is tired of the selfish women who seem to be around him. What will happen when these two meet? Will they let themselves find love, happiness? They made great characters and made the story entertaining to read. I enjoyed watching their growth throughout the story. They made the story easy to read and I really enjoyed it. I highly recommend this book.

I am a lover of all Christmas books and this one is no different. Honestly this is probably one of the best ones I have read in a few months. Like most holiday romances there are back stories to be told of the characters. Most of them of love and loss. This one is no different and I found myself rooting for them to finally find their love match. This is a very funny story, and full of romance. However, I also found it to be emotional due to the inspirational story behind it. If you are a fan of Christmas love stories then I am sure you will be a huge fan of this one as well.
I loved this book. This is the second part of this book which I highly suggest you read book one before to help your enhancement of this book. This is an author I never hesitate to pick up. I have read almost every single book by her and have loved them all. I enjoyed being pulled into this story by the characters. They gave the story a realistic feel as well as being connectable. This author’s writing skills and her attention to details make her stories fun and entertaining to read. This one is no different. This is a dark story that may have some triggers for some but if you can get past the triggers you will find an awesome story. The characters are full of emotions and who don’t love MC clubs. This is a must read story and series. I highly recommend this book and this author.

This book is good on so many levels. N.L. Holmes does a thorough job of researching the period she is writing on. The descriptions of locations and characters always make it easier to visualize. The plotlines are fascinating. The mystery in this book teaches about good and evil. The young man loses his father and his grandfather is seriously injured when a saboteur wrecks the king’s chariot. This young man feels it is his fault until he’s told otherwise then he wants to find out who is responsible. Excellent book. Highly recommend.

Miss Elizabeth Campbell (nee Clarke), the new schoolteacher, returns to Bittersweep to find out why her home was the only one burned down so many years ago during a yellow fever outbreak. She meets handsome chairman of the school JP Honeycutt. Though not looking for a romance, she is pulled to him by something…JP remembers a five year old little girl that he lifted onto a wagon when he was 12. Why does Elizabeth look so familiar? Elizabeth finds herself being warned off JP by Mrs. Ledbetter at the boarding house. She’s told that he isn’t interested in her type. Well, she doesn’t have time for that. Along with trying to find out answers to her questions, she is helping to rescue an orphan girl. She finds herself right in the middle of a murder mystery. A very entertaining book. The owl-hoot robbers (I love this) are such a hoot. The characters just pop right up in your mind. Aunt Maude’s scowling face is easy to picture. The town sounds like every small town, full of gossip and drama. Nice, clean, and easy to read. I highly recommend this book and this author.
Avenging Devil Part 2 is the fourth novel in the Satan’s Devils MC San Diego series by Manda Mellett. It continues where Part 1 left off and, if possible, it is better than the first! Talk about non-stop action!
Saffie and Niran continue their journey of getting to know one another and through all of it bring all the chapters of the Satan’s Devils together.
Manda Mellett’s MC novels are some of the best novels! The further you get into all of the series the better they get. The characters and world she has built is amazing and full on action all the time.
I hope there is more to come of the San Diego chapter, but until then I hope to catch up on some of the other chapters’ stories!

What a great ending! What a great turn of events! This story is Avenging Devil part 2. The conclusion to part 1. I loved the development of the characters, especially Saffie, from the beginning of part 1 to the ending of part 2. I loved that this story includes many characters from the club. Definitely must read in order.
The only thing I have to complain about is the middle seemed to slow down a little bit, drag just a little…just seemed like boring day to day life while waiting for the conclusion. Although now that I think about the twists that Mellett threw in there, I think the slow part may have been part of her plan to lull us into a safe zone and then BAM! An amazing twist and climax to make you sit up and think what the … just happened!?! And the way Saffie happens her own club business…Just ah!!
This story is twisted and is not for the faint of heart. There are warnings in the blurb as well. Read with caution but get ready for a ride!

Book Review: A Cold Day In Hell Author: Naomi Valkyre Four Stars Just as good as the others in this series. Travel along with Jezebel a shifter/demon and Hadassah a fallen angel/healer as they try to run from those who are chasing Jezebel. Hadassah is trying to make friends as Malakhi has requested of her and Jezebel is the one she has chosen to befriend first. Now the whole family is trying to find Jezebel as she has been snatched. This book is full of twists and turns and suspense. This whole series has been a new to me experience as I don’t read much in this genre, but I am truly enjoying them all. KLH

I have always been a fanatic for anything pertaining to Greek Mythology. So when I saw this book, I was instantly drawn to it and knew this was one I had to read!
From the cover to the character introductions I was basically hooked! To note from the start, I personally loved how the authors writing style was. they did a great way to keep the reader invested, and the humorous lines and events was more than needed to keep me reading. It was super well put together and there were moments I certainly did not expect!
Hermes is the God of messenger. He meets a cat burglar named Kat who has some deep personal reasons to which she feels in her heart she must rob him…I found her reasons heartfelt and convincing.
But in truth the most convincing of all was when thunder struck and Kat and Hermes first laid eyes on one another. The passion and what was there, was more than needed to be said, something struck when they met at the event they were both at, which were Mardi Gras. And there was no denying what happened even if both of them were so bent on not believing what they experienced.
As things lead on it is Hermes so seems to have completely fallen for Kat. She seems to be everything he ever dreamed of, or is she?
As things continue for more of a drastic turn. Kat succeeds in what she came to do. But was the costs really that worth it in the end? Fate had bought these two together, but will fate decide they are not destined for one another?
As more went on I fell more in love with this book and the adventure Kat and Hermes had to undergo. It was truly impossible to be cheering and wanting to know what would happen next for these two souls, or do I date to say fate crossed lovers?
The writing again was amazing! Was an easy flow and had moments full of love and laughter. And besides my love for Mythology I was entranced and fell head over feels in with the characters and events of this book. I loved it truly, and I loved especially it goes to show true love always conquers all 🙂 I will be sure reading the other books in the series, with a happy dancing heart
Amazing story and book. Truly is a worth while read 🙂
Sign Steal Deliver: A Paranormal Chick Lit Novel (Gods of Thunder MC) by Carrie Pulkinen is a paranormal rom com. And this sums up this wonderful story “a royal witch with a capital B”, I love it this statement, hubby says this about me, but I digress. I can honestly say that I have not read anything from Carrie that I have not loved. Romantic comedies are her niche, and she does is so well. This sweet and heart-warming tale will have you falling in love with the characters. Not only that you will laugh your ar*se off. With shifters and Greek Gods, magic, and witches it has a little bit of everything for a nice peaceful escape from reality.
Saffie’s past was darker than I’d ever expected, and now I’m embroiled in the thick of it. I’m fully prepared to forfeit my life if it means I save hers, but I have no idea how I’m going to achieve that objective. I do all that I can, lying to convince them I’m one of their kind despite having the wrong skin colour.
Trouble is, it’s Saffie who believes my lies, and I convince her I’m on their side.
In front of me, they hurt her, I’m powerless to stop them. And now it’s me that’s going to die. I vow, if I have to, I’ll return from the dead with the Devil by my side if that’s what it takes to avenge her.
Saffie
Caught back in the trap I thought I’d escaped from, I don’t see how there’s any hope for me now, especially when the one man I trusted turns out to be a liar.
Now he’s betrayed me, I hate Niran with everything that I am.
Note: This book is dark and is not for the faint-hearted or those easily triggered.
Manda’s life’s always seemed a bit weird, starting with a childhood that even today she’s still trying to make sense of, then losing her parents in the late teens. Going from the tragic to the bizarre, who else could be unlucky enough to have had two car accidents, neither her fault, one involving a nun, and another involving a police woman?
There isn’t enough space to list everything that’s happened to Manda, or what she’s learned from it. But by using the rich fabric of her personal life, psychology degree, varied work experiences, and amazing characters she’s met, Manda is able to populate her books with believable in-depth characters and enjoys pitting them against situations which challenge them. Her books are full of suspense, twists and turns and the unexpected.
Manda lives in the beautiful countryside of Essex in the UK, the area’s claim to fame being the Wilkin’s Jam Factory at nearby Tiptree. She can usually find jars of jam which remind her of home wherever she goes. As well as writing books and reading, Manda loves walking her dogs and keeping fit. She lives with her husband of over 30 years, who, along with her son, is her greatest fan and supporter.
Manda is thankful that one of the more unusual, and at the time unpleasant, turns her life took, now enables her to spend her time writing. Confirming, in her view, every cloud has a silver lining.

I really enjoyed this read. Jody has always been in her sister’s shadow. While out with some friends she meets Holt, but there is a mistaken identity. Jody is completely different from her sister and my heart really went out to what she had to deal with. She has finally had enough and wants to do something for herself.
I have to say I really fell for Hold right along with Jody. There is a moment that he comes to Jody’s defense and I loved it.
Will Jody finally achieve her dream? Will she also get a HEA with Holt?
Overall I really enjoyed this read. All of the characters added a great element to the story. You can read this book as a stand alone. The author does a great job with her writing and pulls you right in. I can’t wait to read more from the series. 1-click and get started today.

One of those intriguing old-fashioned mysteries, Bittersweep is centered around a woman, who comes back to the town fifteen years after her family had to disown it. She takes up a job of a school teacher, and is determined to find the answers to the questions about her childhood. But, fate has other plans and she finds herself embroiled in a murder mystery. She becomes the talk of the town and is in the limelight for all wrong reasons. With a murder and a bank robbery, this story is much more than romance, it is an adventure ride. The plot is gripping and keeps you guessing till the end. I really enjoyed this historic fiction. A good read !
Taking Flight (Code of Honor Book 2) by Brooke May
Another read by May. Brooke knows what to do to keep her readers coming back. Taking Flight is the second book in the Code of Honor Series.
Jody has signed away her life because her sister always gets what she wants. While on tour she meets a handsome pilot who she falls for. The quote I chose for Jody is: “Since when is sex ever supposed to be pretty?”
Holt has had a long life in the Air Force as a pilot. Going to Germany was supposed to be a night filled with beer and women. German women, but life doesn’t always work like that. The quote I chose for Holt is: “If there is a nice woman out there, I haven’t found her yet.”
Rock star, military man, mistaken identity, romance
I absolutely love the rock star romance genre, and this is a fantastic new take on that! I enjoyed the mistaken identity twist.
I really enjoyed the contentious relationship of twins Jody (sometimes called JoJo) and Jilly. I really felt for Jody, always coming in second best to her younger sister, even though Jilly is a conceited, stuck up, snob.
I did’t like Holt when we’re introduced to him in this book. He’s just out on the prowl to get his, but through his interest in Jody he grew on me as we begin to see another side to him.
I enjoyed the “hide and seek” aspect of Holt and Jody getting together and finding themselves with and without their normal surroundings.
My reasoning for 3.5 stars with all the good things described above?: While I thoroughly enjoyed the book, it left me feeling like something was lacking, or that I was unfulfilled, but I can’t determine why or what was missing. I’m really enjoying this series as a whole and think this goes well with book one. I will certainly continue reading as new books come out.

This book is a lot for me. I tend to enjoy fluffier, easy reads, which this is definitely NOT. It’s not a bad book, it just wasn’t really my style. However, if you like sci-fi/fantasy books with lots of world-building and many characters, you’ll definitely love this! It reminds me a bit of game of thrones, which is an amazing series but too complex and hard-to-follow for my to really get into and enjoy. Many other people love them though!

Dark Bastard is an amazing read, being the fifth installment to Ms. Kells Dark Sparrow series, Dark Bastard definitely did not disappoint. Having read her first four in this series I was eagerly awaiting book five to arrive on my kindle and was beyond excited when it did. This romantic suspense is filled with everything that a reader could hope for including drama, danger, action, chemistry, complex characters and more. Ms. Kells once again delivers us a story that keeps us on the edge of our seats and wanting more. So if your looking for a great romantic suspense series then I recommend this whole series but if you want to start with just one then I highly recommend Dark Bastard by Ms. India Kells.

A Cold Day In Hell by Naomi Valkyrie is the fifth book in the Life Is Hell series. This should be read after the first four books in the series. The book follows Hadassah Engel, an angel who has gotten herself into a spot of trouble and has been sent to Earth, aka Hell on Earth. I have immensely enjoyed this series and it just keeps getting better. The storylines and characters are great. I also really like the paranormal elements and how well they work into the story. Hadassah Engel is a fun character and I like how she deals with the problems with her brother and also how she is handling her time on Earth. I look forward to reading more from this author and series in the future.

I absolutely LOVE this series. MDPI tackles not one, but TWO, missing persons cases. Lots of intrigue and twists and turns. I adore the main characters, Madeline & Mike, and the supporting characters as well. They are Private Investigators but are so caring in their handling of clients. They are also extremely intelligent and think outside the box, which makes the story so much more interesting. Good books have characters with great depth and this series has that and more!

I just cannot get enough of this series, and Author Naomi Valkyrie is truly amazing to bring these characters to life. I am so invested in all of the characters and truly loved the very deep friendship of Haddie and Jezebel. Haddie is a fallen angel, while Jezebel is a shifter. At first, I was not sure about Haddie..her character was a bit…stern…but understanding and finding out why…I can truly understand. With Jezebel, you do not get to meet much of her in the other books, but this book really shines on her character…..and she is trying to run from her past…and Haddie goes along for the ride. Will Haddie save Jezebel? You definitely recommend reading the series in order and I can say again, this book is fabulous!!!!

It’s hard to believe that six books into a series I am as invested as I was in the first book but each one is better than the last! Houses of Deception is the sixth book in Cynthia Hamilton’s Madeline Dawkins series and while it is the sixth book I’ve read, I believe it would read just fine as a stand alone. I really enjoy Cynthia Hamilton’s writing style, she grabs my attention immediately with attention to detail and never fails to keep my attention throughout. I have loved Madeline since the begin and that hasn’t changed, which means a lot to me because while I love a strong female main character, there aren’t too many I can say I connected with. I loved this book and couldn’t recommend this series more. I would give Houses of Deception 4 out of 5 stars.

Pet Me (The Toye Shoppe #1) by Angelique Jurd was actually the first M/M romance that I have read and I really enjoyed these beautiful characters. I will definitely be looking for more to read. If I was to say one thing though, I was left wanting to know more about Sam, Bailey and the others mentioned in the book, as I found the ending came very suddenly. Who knows that may have been the authors intention though to leave us wanting more???
Bailey is a very shy, anxious and cutely clumsy young man who just needs to be seen, to be loved and to realise his own worth. Along comes Sam, a caring older man and Sex toy shop owner who sees the real Bailey underneath his clumsiness and Beauty. Sam is immediately interested in Bailey and over time explores ways to bring out Baileys confidence. Age is nothing but a number in this heart warming couples life. They are good together and bring out the best in each other.

Journeys Through SpaceTime is a complex, multi-layered story. Not a bad one, just hard to get a handle on at first. As I kept reading, it became easier to read and get a handle on the flow of the story. Once that happened I really got in to all of the “worlds” that Tailisman built.
While some parts are a bit wordy, the action adventure, and characters kept me engrossed. Talisman definitely gives each world its own feel with loads of space and time factors, and tons of plots, hidden agendas and conspiracies.
Tailosman definitely left us wanting more, while tieing up a few threads. In a way this book left me feeling like I had just read a spacey J. R. R. Tolkien or “Game of Thrones”.
I will definitely be reading the second in this series.

The Heart of Baker Bay by the wonderful Danielle Jacks is a beautiful story full of warmth, heart and truly wonderful characters. It just makes you feel so good to read about and be apart of this charming community that she has created. It is a five start read from start to finish!

4 out of 5 Stars
Wow! I don’t know where to start. There is so much to love in this book it is hard to decide what to talk about first. The fun banter between characters, the tenderness the author uses when addressing past trauma, the fun steamy scenes, the amazing sisterhood, and much more make this a heartwarming start to this series that leaves you tapping your fingers with impatience for the next chapter!!
Chloe Larson is a dedicated friend. Chloe lives with her two best friends, Gaby and Jess. Chloe is a fledgling reporter that has big hopes and dreams when it comes to her job. She has just gotten a promotion at work that is giving her more options to pursue different stories. One of these stories brings her face to face with Chris Sherman, principal of one of the local high schools.
What isn’t there to love about Chris? A dedicated educator who lives with his brother and is close to his family? From the moment Chloe walked into Chris’ office, he knew there was something special about the amazing woman that came to interview him. Chris just didn’t know how special until he started to get to know her.
This story is so much more than the budding love between Chloe and Chris. The reader gets to know Jess and Gaby, Chloe’s best friends, and gets a peek into their unbreakable sisterhood that has withstood years of trials, break ups, family drama, and all the things life can throw at them. At first it seems all too much, so many characters to learn! But, without learning how each person plays into the life of the other, the story would not be as full or rich. These three friends, and their lives, are intertwined so thoroughly that it is important to follow every thread of this enduring and heartwarming story. It makes you hope there can be a fourth pea in that pod!!

Chain Reaction by C.L. Schneider is the second installment of Nite Fire series. Although I didn’t enjoy it as much as the first it was still a riveting story. There was a lot going on in this book that made it hard to follow at times but once all the dots connected it was an “ahhh” moment. I enjoyed that Dalia can now settle down and has people that she connects to. It made her more personable and cheering for her to solve the mystery. the end of the book left the series open and I am excited to listen to the next installment.

Schneider – Review by Amanda Glaspie
Out of the three books in this series so far, this one hit me in the feels the hardest. Here we have Holly, who has suffered the loss of her father and is struggling to get back to a sense of normality especially during the holiday season. Enter Blake, the former Olympic snowboarder who has had to endure losing a leg and his dream of continuing to compete. After a brief run-in (pun intended), they discover that they both bring something to the table that the other one desperately needs. This story had me happy, sad, and mad.. everything in-between. I love Holly’s negative outlook on most things and found joy in resonating with a book character so well. I also appreciated Blake’s playlists and attempts at always lightening the mood. This story was beautiful and, again, set in our favorite small town. Jae, you have hooked me completely and I look forward to reading more of whatever you decide to publish!
The second novel in this series by Jae Dawson and I am still absolutely in love with the small-town feel and the love stories that occur there! I loved the raw emotion that was in this story and getting to know way more than I ever dreamed imaginable about flowers due to Rose and her business. The quirky family members and friends, the re-meeting of long-lost love, and the reminder that all of this is happening in the same town where we fell in love with Cade. Rose and Liam had a story that needed to be told and Jae has once again delivered with this beautiful and romantic story. I especially related to the overthinking and overanalyzing that goes on in Rose’s head. These stories are perfect to read during any season when you want to smile and have that happily ever after feeling.
